I will admit, I have not read any posts other than the original post.

To think that planets affect any part of your daily life is pure ignorance.

I am a "Pisces" by standards, but it has no affect on me what so ever.

This has been proven in double-blinds, where they read other sign's horoscopes. They also subject correct horoscopes, in which they respond that it does not pertain to them (is not their sign/horoscope).

I am sorry for coming off as rude, but I can not stand Astrology.

I am a Pisces, but not a big believer in astrology. I do have to admit though, the profile does fit me pretty spot on. A bit strange I suppose...

March 8th if it matters

Every CHART contains all of the signs and all of the planets. Horoscopes are too vague to use. I would relate to comments made about a Leo, because I have two planets in Leo. But my sun is in Cancer. I wouldn't believe a test done that takes horoscopes as it's base. I would rather see someone read someone elses chart and see if that is accepted as their own.

it's a little more complicated than a simple horoscope....

I apparently am one. Born right on the cusp. I would say that I am probably the farthest thing from a pisces there is. I'm not easygoing, I'm not gentle, definitely not easily swayed, and most people refer to me as 'intense'. Do sometimes get a little introverted though. Never took much stock in astrology. Good luck with the paper though!

sounds like you are on the Aries cusp by that description, and I right? As opposed to the Aquarius one. Perhaps you aren't a Pisces. Astro.com, enter your information on the data entry page for a chart drawing... and see if you are one or not? And Aries would be the farthest thing from a Pisces there is.

Actually apparently I am on the Aquarius side. Missed it by a couple days. Aries sounds a whole hell of a lot more like me though. Man, just re-read the Aries attributes and seriously everything fits... Well, luckily I don't believe I'm ruled by Uranus or something. Thanks for the tip though!

what sign is your moon in? That would more accurately describe your emotions.

People aren't ruled by planets, the signs are ruled by planets.

also, what planets do you have in Aries? Venus? Mercury?

to say that the planets effecting anything is pure ignorance... you DO realize that that in itself is ignorance right? I admit as well that i understand what you are saying (i myself have more control over my life than any planet does) - but you MUST know that everything is connected to everything and at the very least the moon and the sun are connected to us (even if you dont understand step one) right?

I am saddened by your lack of connection and awareness... that is not to say i disagree with you, because i too believe that the influence on a daily basis is mine and mine alone... but to imply pure ignorance is, well... ignorant.

The ruler of Pisces is Neptune. Its symbol represents a pair of sea horses or sea lions yoked together. They dwell in the innermost regions of the sea, which is symbolic of life after death or regeneration. The image also represents a duality, the struggle of the spiritual soul within the physical body. In Pisces, these two natures are joined, yet very much separate. This conflict is sometimes an inhibition to natural expression. Pisces Pisces are . . . is a difficult sentence to finish. There are so many kinds of Pisces. Strange statement? Yes, because Pisceans are the most malleable of the twelve signs. They possess a gentle, patient nature, but one that is in want of molding. They can be impressed by and completely absorbed into their environment. They are in need of a container which will shape them, guide them. Without this guiding form, this rudder, they tend to drift.

Pisces adapts to their surroundings, good or bad. They are generous, friendly, good natured people with a true sense of kindness and compassion. They are sensitive to everything around them including the feelings of others. They are popular folk because of their easygoing and likable manner, which tends to mirror people they are with. They have an uncanny sense of perceiving what a person is in need of, and delivering it. They are not initiators, but rather allow circumstances and events to motivate them, and then they respond. In this aspect, they tend to focus on other peoples problems rather than their own.

Pisceans are not practical people. They are too ephemeral for normal day to day living in the 9-5 "practical" world. They are sensitive and instinctual rather than intellectual or mechanical. They lack decisiveness and are easily diverted from their purposes. They are apt to live a shiftless sort of life, searching for some career or meaning in which to pour themselves. They discourage easily, and can become despondent, feel unappreciated and move on to something or someone else.

When, however, they do find the right container, they are capable of some incredible deeds. They will become completely absorbed in a chosen path, to the exclusion of everything else. The 'absent minded professor' is a classic Pisces character, such as Albert Einstein. They don't fare well in a controlled or fixed environment and generally rebel against convention. But, unlike the Aquarian, who will fight the establishment, Pisces wages only a personal battle.

In order to get away from the usual horoscopes are BS thing...
Here is a free chart making website to enter your natal information in. Astrolabe.com

In order to have an accurate chart you need:

The day month and year you were born
The country and city you were born
The exact time of your birth. (most sites account for Daylight Savings)

Then once it is created, you can begin to research it.

I will help you interpret it, if you like.

I am Pisces, March 14th. However, my rising sign and moon sign are both Scorpio. I do feel that my personality encompasses traits from both. My Chinese sign is a Sheep. It seems that if you take into consideration where each of the planets were in your birth chart, it's like a series of puzzle pieces. In my case when they are all put together they do accurately describe me. I've also studied numerology which is also quite accurate.

I'm a pisces and its not always fun being this sensitive.

I was born on 3.14 (Pi)sces.

Please dont mistake my heightened sense of awareness for mental illness I always tell the experts. But since I care too much what others think I accomodate them by taking the meds. The docs think it keeps me quiet but in actuality it keeps them quiet by catering to their ego and pocket book. Just want them to be happy.

Your most welcome Grock!
Another way to look at Pisces is to look at it's so called opposite or "counter weight".
Virgo.

The Virgo character is precise, refined, and a lover of cleanliness, hygiene and order. Conventional, with a rather reserved manner. They are usually observant, shrewd, critical, and patient. Supporters of the 'status quo', and conservative in all areas of life. Virgos are undemonstrative due to a coolness in their nature. Very selective, and non committal in friendship, they prefer to keep relationships on a superficial basis.
Quietly reserved, Virgos are polite and soft spoken people. Unassuming, outwardly cheerful and agreeable, they can be sensible, discreet, wise and witty, with an understanding of other people's problems which they tackle with deftness. Virgos find their friends among those who can help them move up the social strata. They can be name droppers as they like to associate with achievers. Astrology Both sexes have considerable charm and dignity, which make some male Virgoans appear effeminate when they are not. In marriage they can be genuinely affectionate, and make good partners and parents. More concerned with the outcome than the process, Virgos lack spontaneity. They are meticulous planners, considering every detail and its effect. There is seldom much room for emotional involvement because the mind is always engaged and dominant. What they lack in passion they make up for in preciseness.
They are practical, mental people, possessing inquiring and logical minds. In this respect, they make excellent students, and good teachers. Their mental bend gives them the ability to analyze and solve the most complicated problems. Virgos have a wonderful eye for detail and often neglect the overall issues. Practical and good with their hands, they are excellent technicians and have good inventive talents. Hard workers and conscientious, they are perfectionists with little tolerance for shoddy work. There is no place in their world for people who are footloose and fancy free.

Although everyone has virgo and pisces somewhere in their chart and can relate, having a planet in those signs would give you both those qualities. Hence, you would relate to both, MORE. Not having a planet in Virgo, would mean that those qualities would be lacking somewhat, or not as prevalent.
The Sun is misunderstood in Pop Culture Astrology. (what I call Horoscopes) The sun is the lazy easy way to find "your sign" because it is the easiest to calculate with out an Ephemeris, or an Astronomer friend. The moon is the hardest as it travels through all 12 signs in a month. Rising or Ascendant signs are even more difficult because you need your or someone elses natal data. And Ascendants travel through all 12 signs in a DAY.
People of Pop Culture Astrology tend to like to use the Sun as the whole personality indicator, and that is just not so. The Rising/Ascendant is more of an outward personality indicator than the sun. Most people would have to know you fairly well to see the Sun's energy in action.

seagrass,
thank you for that insight as well, it seems that i do have some opposing qualities included there... i would like to ask you (u2u's isnt working at the moment) if you have access to doing ones chart and the 'meanings' that go along with it? I ask you this because I would like to have my chart done since I have never had the opportunity to do so. I believe all the information provided in the OP should work, however I am at your service if you require more.

If not, could you refer me to where/how i could do so?

Thanks

I stink of fish if that's any use.

I'm not so sure about astrology to be honest. I'll be honest and admit that I've used it like a crutch at times. At real low points I've not been able to get out of bed without seeing a horoscope; the low point being a key factor in that, for various reasons, just feeling completely lost and needing some kind of direction - any direction, even a bad one - or needing on some level needing 'proof' of what I was feeling or maybe even just an explanation for why things were what they were.

Yet, despite the reliance, I'm also very conscious of the fact that there's a lot of psychology and pseudo-science involved with this.

However, at the same time, I'm also quite aware of that, in many ways, I'm a 'stereotypical' Pisces. It could be argued that I've built a personality on what I think a Pisces should be or what I assume it to be, but the reality is, it's the personality traits I have in the first place that drew me to astrology in the first place. So whilst there's a possible argument for looking towards astrology for some kinds of confirmation bias, I think I'm only compounding what's actually there in the first place.

Newspaper horoscopes are obviously bollocks though.

MW, I think everything you said makes perfect sense, and it was through Astrology that I found "reasons" for my personality as well. The lost feeling of a Pisces is exactly as described... Finding containers and losing containers is hard on us.
I think you should look into it more deeply if you are attracted to it. It may be calling you as it did me. I used astrology a lot when I was younger and i don't follow my transits of planets now unless I want to see "what the heck is going on now"....

and yes, Pop Horoscopes are bollocks.
