I do not care for Gov. Palin, and I do not think she is qualified...

However, this is completely false. SAT scores are always in multiples of 10. So her score could be 840 or 850, but not 841.

I wish people would focus on the policy differences (of which there are many) and then make an intelligent choice.

Well, from the standpoint of a digital artist, nothing about the document you linked to leads me to believe it was actually assembled or created five years ago. In fact, there are numerous discrepancies that point towards it being created much more recently.

That "report" is fake. And take a close look at these stats...it's the reason (and a very positive one at that) expenses in Wasilla went up...think about it.

Wasilla is the fastest growing city in our state. We know Sarah Palin's not perfect, but she has done a tremendous amount of good for our state. We're happy that she's our Governor.

Im not saying these results are true but what has she done to prove otherwise. All hee speeches written for her, all interviews she has done she was 'coached' before hand, her one debate she had the questons weeks in advance. She has NEVER held a press conferance since she has been added to the ticket.

While I agree with many here that this document is likely of highly dubious origin, I do not find it hard to believe that Ms. Palin may in fact be near the mental retardation threshold.

As I study psychology, I have a fairly good understanding of the meaning and significance of IQ scores, and I can tel you that a score of 83 is not such an outrageous thing. To be clinically diagnosed with mental retardation, although very mild retardation, you would need an IQ of below 70. Such moderate levels retardation are often difficult to recognise, because affected people generally function quite successfully in day to day life.

When I first watched a few of the Kouric (sp?) interviews, it was the first time I had seen Palin in live footage, and I was shocked to say the least. I felt so embarrassed for her and could barely continue to watch her cringeworthy responses. Palin struggles to form basic sentences, a classic sign of moderate retardation, she believes that 'the media' is one physical thing, and she believes she has foreign policy experience merely because she lives somewhat near two foreign countries (actually, not really very near at all).

83 seems high.

ps. Why does everything about Palin have to somehow revert to a counter attack on Obama? Where and why is this about him? In any case, you'd be a fool to try and compare a Magna cum laude Law graduate to this laughable representative of the human form.

It makes sense she has an IQ of around 80, remember that the data collected by US universities sometime after 2000, documented the statistics that a vast majority of citizens with under average IQ voted republican.

Therefor it's no huge surprise that republican politicians should also show some signs of the same trend and have a lower than average IQ compared to rival politicans.

(You can check out this data online at various american universities. It's hillarious, but scarey indeed.)

A photocopy and an image is the same thing. Anyone who's ever used a scanner knows this.

PDF happens to be one of the most common formats on the internet and is no more complicated or time consuming than any other format. Complete nonsense.

Some of the material clearly was copied and pasted as scanned images into the PDF document. Every time a copy is made and pasted or dropped into a new format some information is lost - some gets pixelated. Some of these documents appear to be at least 2nd or 3rd generation copy's. Which means they came from different places at different times and would of been even more difficult to fake and would be even more time consuming.

I would guess that at least some if not all of that information is correct and I don't see what the big deal is. It is just an indication of where she was at, at that point in her life and maybe an indication of her potential.

Since watching Palin being interviewed by Couric, I've had an idea what her IQ was. When I said the IQ of 83 was just above retarded -I was just being sarcastic and talking crap.. I really don't have a clue where retarded would fall on that scale.

On the positive side for Palin fans - at least she's working at the top of her potential.

Funny someone mentioned Forest Gump. I loved that guy and I think he would make a great president.
