Please try to read the articles - it makes life a lot easier all round.

Well said, sir. Well said. It seems capitalism is making our earth smaller. We are to connected to one another, country to country that is. Considering how important accumulating wealth is these days, whether for the individual or nation -- through which a number of government-appointed individuals may gain extraordinary wealth -- a fringe argument could take the position that Russia and the U.S. have brokered a war all in the name of wealth. It's profit for a number of corporations to instigate conflicts with Russia. Afterall, GE's bottom wouldn't nearly as good if the U.S. wasn't engage in conflict.

As irrational an argument as that may be, keep in mind that the U.S. and Russia are being run by what could be considered "political gangsters." For example, name the last vice president that had as much power as Dick Cheney. "Go @#&* yourself, Mr. Cheney" _ Anonymous Katrina-displaced New Orleans resident.

I believe Georgia was expecting something other than just hardware support from the U.S. They instigate conflict (armed with U.S.-supplied weaponry) with Russia and the U.S. seems to have left them holding the cold war bag. Something's amiss here and boy-president knows what it is.

lol so many ready to jump on the anti-US band wagon, and not to mention to romantisise the big russian bear *vomits noisily*

so i guess with Russia being so magnimonius with the recognition of South Ossetia independance the rest of the world is allowed to do the same with Chechnya ?

im sure Russia being the benevolent country would have no hesitation at allowing Chechan independance lol

some people really need to wake up to the fact that russia is NO DIFFERENT to the US except for the fact that the US won and they lost so the US has the greater sphere of influence in the region.

restarting the cold war is futile they didnt win last time and they wouldnt win this time and as for their nukes does anyone have any proof those relics still work?

lol @ russian bear .. more like a whipped cur cowering in a cave, growling every so often but hoping they arnt kicked around again.

How soon everyone forgets. Not even a generation has passed. The old Russia is back and that means their unrivaled propaganda abilities are back.

Anyone notice that Russia invaded a sovereign nation with an elected Democratic Government or will that just slip by? Did you also notice that South Ossetia is inside Georgia and not inside Russia? Did you notice that Russia broke the cease fire and we have been watching many videos taken in areas where Russia said it did not go as they bomb these locations where they never went? How many live reports of the tanks rolling into areas Russia denied being minutes before will it take? Declaring citizens of Georgia to be Russian citizens just because they say so? Plllllllease!!!

Russia's methodology has always been to say one thing and do another. It has also been to divert attention with a lie out one side of their mouths while they orchestrate their atrocities out the other side of their mouth.

Does anyone really believe that while Putin was throwing a phony fit about our plans they were not neck deep in even more sinister plans of their own? Putin probably is building 2 missiles to our one and has been planning this invasion since before the phony elections. This stuff with Georgia trying to round up its dissidents was just a convenient coincidence that happened to pop up.

I think the US should just kick back and sit this one out and let the worlds whiners show their stuff as they deal with this. Will the world let Russia invade and occupy a Democracy without lifting a finger to help them? We have seen this before, have we not? Come on world, show us your stuff.

must have missed your post somehow but i couldnt have said it better. /me gives you a pretty star
