Yes,send a bunch of expendable assets to fight to preserve the empire, while you sit in realtive safety and proclaim yourself a "true patriot" typical chicken hawk BS we have had for far too long in the US.

i see and hear a lot of paranoia these days about the government instituting another draft. in my mind, a draft would be about the best thing for the current generation of american kids.
ever since vietnam, which was a necessary if unpopular war, american democracy has been debased until it has become no more than a tyranny of the masses. the government is now expected to bow down to popular cowardices and feelings of entitlement. we have welfare and food stamps, but no compulsory service to one's country.
an entire generation of americans is involved in their country in theory only, playing world of warcraft or writing blogs from the safety of basement rooms while the world grows more dangerous day by day.
these people should be made to realize that, in being a patriot and a citizen, something is always at stake. a draft may be the only way.
Ah,a good idea Wolfy!let's see how patriotic these guys wearing flag pins really are...

Let's go ahead and have a draft.
BUT, lets only draft every son and daughter of every representative, senator, general, and administration cabinet member.
That way, if they are willing to start a war or fight a war, it will be their blood on the line.

I personally have not met any people who have said that they regretted their decision to join the military. Out of the hundred or so that I know, I can't remember any who did regret it. It takes a special kind of person to join the military, protect and serve our country, and for the most part bite their tongue when they hear people from their own country say that they are mindless killing-machines and robots.

Hmm....maybe they get that flack because they ARE mindless killing robots. The mission of the military, for at least the past century has done nothing to indicate they have any intention of protecting the united States.
It is, in my opinion, the sign of a weak-minded individual to join the army, since in order to do so one must not have any sort of thought patterns aside from those the government-operated media implements.

Star Star Star Star Star..How many wars would be fought at all then?
Not many by those folks..they have too much to lose.
I ABSOLUTELY AGREE WITH YOU! THERE SHOULD BE A DRAFT! And here is who should be drafted, and sent IMMEDIATELY to the front lines in Iraq.
1) Anyone with a net worth over $10 million dollars. You've benefited the most from the freedoms here, you pay the heaviest price.
2) Anyone who's pay is more than $1,000,000 a year, in WHATEVER form it takes (stock options, bonuses, etc.). Same reason as above.
3) EVERY SINGLE BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND TOP MANAGERS of ANY company, public or private, who has profited a SINGLE DOLLAR on the war in Iraq.
4) Every single politician above the township level in America, including all the whitehouse, both houses of congress, and ALL federal and state judges.
Now, THERE is a draft we can agree on! Institute a draft like that, and watch war come to an end in our lifetime!

You do realize that it is not the soldiers but congress and the president that are responsible for the war right? You do realize that the military doesn't just come up with orders out of thin air right? Maybe instead of putting down the people who are protecting your rights you should take it up with congress and the president. Or better yet run for one of those offices and change how things are. That would be more effective that mindlessly repeating that the soldiers are robots.
An enemy of the state is a person accused of certain crimes against the state, such as treason. Describing individuals in this way is sometimes a manifestation of political repression. For example, an authoritarian regime may purport to maintain national security by describing social or political dissidents as "enemies of the state".

To cover the debt in 1933 and future debt, the corporate government determined and established the value of the future labor of each individual in its jurisdiction to be $630,000. A bond of $630,000 is set on each Certificate of Live Birth. The certificates are bundled together into sets and then placed as securities on the open market. These certificates are then purchased by the Federal Reserve and/or foreign bankers. The purchaser is the "holder" of "Title." This process made each and every person in this jurisdiction a bond servant.

The flags displayed in State courts and courts of the United States have gold or yellow fringes. That is your WARNING that you are entering into a foreign enclave, the same as if you are stepping into a foreign embassy and you will be under the jurisdiction of that flag. The flag with the gold or yellow fringe has no constitution, no laws, and no rules of court, and is not recognized by any nation on the earth, and is foreign to you and the United States of America.

the thing about being a patriot, about loving your country, is that you don't get to pick and choose which actions you agree with and which actions you disagree with. it's time we understand again that it is good and right to support one's country.
