I think your right i am getting off topic. I think FOTF is pushing their agenda in a civilized manner. With boycotts not riots. They get info, inform their followers who make a decision to agree or disagree. i.e. freedom. I "scanned" your links, and thank you for taking the time to find them, yet it's nothing but people who disagree with them. Yes they and i oppose gay marriage. it's my right to do so and it is not a crime to voice my opinion. If you disagree call those who give them the airtime.

It's called DEMOCRACY.
Protesting and e-mailing media is JUST THAT.
Where else are we going to hear about pornography rights for children using school computers, pedophilia rights activists, Homosexual agendists proselytizing first grade students. Curriculum warriors
Their programs can be quite enlightening, but, I still do what I feel is best for my children.
I haven't ever heard them putting out false information or begging for money.

It's called DEMOCRACY.

I'm not saying the are un-democratic, do I mention democracy in my post? Do I mention a violation of human rights? NO.

I'm saying they are hypocrites who promote choice yet use religion to also promote censorship.

I completely agree, FOTF has every right to do what they do and I have every right to protest them. Do not misunderstand or misinterprate my post. That is not my point, it is not something I even mention.

Again i think we are working on 1 degree of seperation, but what shows have they had canceled? Moving some foul shows to later at night i like, but also makes me see your opinion and disagree with myself.
I like it because if i leave the room and my 18 month old grabs the remote i dont have to worry about my 7 YO watching south park. at the same time i should never be out of the room long enough for it to make a difference.

Well I support parents being able to raise there kids.

But I dont support focus on family stuff.

And this is because they try to force their beliefs on others, that parents should be the one raising there kids.

And yes I think parents should raise their kids but in the end its their decision not focus on family or the goverment.

I think people should be able to live how they want to live.

If there not up to raising kids then they can give them up to adaption or abortion.

But if your a parent and you raise your kids and dont care that your kids are learning about stuff like evolution and sex in school then thats fine to me and fine to them so why is it looked down apon.

And last I've heard you can have you can have your kids taken out of sex education and evolution classes.

Anyways they teach evolution because its the theory with the most scientific data behind it.

And if you want to raise your kids without goverment assitance then thats cool to me also.
Then all you have to do is do what you were planning on doing like telling them about what you think about evolultion and sex.
And even if they learn about that in school then most likely they will belive what they were orginally told, so in the end you got what you wanted.

Well that was my 2 cents.

What are you talking about? Go back and read my first post fully. If you do not understand what I am talking about then you have not followed the debate and I've already gone through misconceptions with two posters. Hopefully you will understand and I won't have to go over it again.

then what is your point? from reading your posts you seem to try to convince us that religion is bad. are you part of this group? are they affecting your life directly?

they are not doing anything wrong or illegal. it is their views and they allowed to have them. and religion has always been used to push agendas. why are you acting as if this is something new.

the taliban say that god told them to bomb #.
Israelites aren't leaving because Israel is apparently their god given right.

education is declining but not because of these organizations but because of the parents/teachers/and kids.

teachers don't care, parents don't have time and kids are well kids.

these people are taking a genuine interest in their kids and community they should be supported not hated.

then what is your point?

Alright I'll post this for the second time to clarify for those who are confused.

They are forcing people to do as they wish, while at the same time being hypocrites for saying people should be allowed to teach their children or censor their children as they wish while taking away an adults own ability to choose what is right for them to watch or not.

They are hypocrites, going back on their own mentality that it should be your right, not the government or theirs to say what you do with yourself or family.

So, you don't believe parents should be educated on what's going on in schools?
The media is about SENSATIONALISM and what's 'hot' at the moment.
MANY things go under the radar and I for one, want to know what kind of hare-brained curriculum is escaping 'out of the abyss' and into schools.

The day these retarded groups are tarred, feathered, and ran out of town by a group of angry people carrying torches and pitchforks will be an absolutely awesome day.

These groups are nothing more than taliban-esque hypocrites who want to control what people see/hear.

I never said differently.

these people are taking a genuine interest in their kids and community they should be supported not hated.

And choosing what is inappropriate for other parents and adults, being hypocritical because they differ from their own message that it is your own right to focus on your own family, what they watch, read, learn, and how they interact with you.

"And this is because they try to force their beliefs on others,"

Like every other political group "naacp" come to mind

"I think people should be able to live how they want to live."
Then where's the issue with FOTF

"But if your a parent and you raise your kids and dont care that your kids are learning about stuff like evolution and sex in school then thats fine to me and fine to them so why is it looked down apon."
Then teach christianity

"And last I've heard you can have you can have your kids taken out of sex education and evolution classes."

can you enroll them in bible studies. as far as sex ed, i dont think teaching it is bad, i think the age its taught is bad.

"Anyways they teach evolution because its the theory with the most scientific data behind it".

Whers the missing link?

Well that was my 2 cents.

I have no proplem with parents wanting to know what is popular with kids these day and what their learning and such.

But they seem to be trying to control everything that goes through the school system and I dont agree with that.

My Grand-daddy actually helped tar and feather child molestors, and wife beaters, they ran them out on the rail.(train)
He was a devout Christian, but, when justice wasn't done, his 'militia' would do the rest.

[SNIP]

like i said before they are trying to do good things. all they are is insuring that their good deeds are being rewarded because they are making people used to all that stuff.

they are no different then the teachers you teach you that their is no God. they definitely have a hidden agenda but that doesn't matter at least they are trying to help.

Mod Edit: Civility and Decorum are Required

Teach reading, writing and math. Leave the rest to me. Not trying to control it just tone it down. Teach fact not opinion. when it comes to social issues, thats my job. if others do it poorly dont make me and my family pay the price.

Focus on the Family and other Christian Right groups are dangerous. They are thinly veiled fascists who would force their violent agenda on the rest of the nation and establish a theocracy based on rules created for Jewish tribes thousands of years ago.

I recommend reading the book "American Fascists" by Chris Hedges to get a good idea of how these groups operate. They want to suppress knowledge, free speech, free expression, free lifestyle, and free religious practice in the name of "God."

If someone wants to raise their children ignorant of the real world at home, that's their decision and they should be allowed to. But they should under no circumstances be allowed to push their moral agenda on the rest of civilized society.
