oh gosh, i'm not touching that with a ten foot pole. almost posted another meaningless music video and then thought better of it

Alright, it happened again... I can not get into BTS....

It seems this happens when I am participating in Mutter.

I am just curious as to why I can not get into BTS right now (and other times in the past), is this something with my browser or ATS?

I never had problems logging in, either to ATS, BTS or MATS, so I guess it's a browser thing.

But having said that, I use mostly Opera, but I also use Firefox and sometimes IE, with an occasional use of Chrome and Safari, usually to do some test.

This is my initial request, i know there is a few threads regarding this already but I am going to make a post a day here until my demands are met lol.....they are in fact one single simple demand....IPHONE APP!!!! that is all

I haven't ever seen it myself.

I know that some people can recognize other people's writing style, but I cannot.

What I know is that I have seen some people accusing other people of being some other member "in disguise" and they all have been wrong.

Some times ago I've submitted some of this images at a Geologist of University without say to him "where" these images were taken.
I simply said that in his opinion and for his knowledge, those images were taken by "microscopical" instruments because on earth there was'n nothing to compare that. The squared angle are tipycal of artificial structures or microscopic structures that assume such form because of magnetic field or other alterations, but absolutely not natural. This why on earth there is nothing of some sort (only little patterns like Giants Causeway in Ireland or other "Natural wanderfuls") and in so huge extension (as I claimed, dozens Km. square or more). When I said him that these images were satellite images, he do not more talk whit me because (I think) he thought I was joking.

Very well found Chad... Why didn't you u2u me about this? This is the seventh or eighth incarnation of this banned member who hopes to sell some phony images to supplement the income his law practice apparently fails to produce for him, or so I am told.


That being said, there's a difference between having multiple accounts without being banned, and, sneaking back in after being banned for HOAXING.

Either of which WILL get a member banned however. As is the case with this one, again (x8 now)...

Well you're a busy man and I wasn't 100% sure, so didn't want to bother you with it, also it was sort of along the lines as to what Armap was talking about so I thought I'd throw it out there.

i dont want it to become a large issue, but it is an important one

there is something i dont understand here on ats and i hope those in charge can look into the situation


the policies i understand (they are constantly quoted even when they dont exactly provide a clear answer to the situation)(no offense to anyone)

the enforcement is where things get grey for me


i fully understand ats policy regarding legal advocation in the alternative substances board

without that rule, there would probably be a million "weed should be legalized man" threads, and thats obviously not needed, nor responsible


however, i did think we could discuss legal circumstances that are taking place currently and historically

a large reason i thought that, is due to threads that have been made weeks, even months ago, that have been left up to be discussed


these threads that are left up deal with legal issues

the best example i can put forth is the following


when going to the alternative substances board, you see a thread regarding nj state policy, it has been up for over 2 months

i FULLY agree it should be left up and it should be discussed, if only for the sole fact to let people know it has happened, my goal is not to get this thread deleted

my goal is to allow current and future information to be discussed in the same way without being closed and deleted within 5 minutes

for example, yesterday i created a thread discussing a nys bill that is coming up for voting this year regarding medical marijuana, and a poll that showed 70 percent of new yorkers support it


in the thread i made a single sentence comment saying it was about time, that was wrong and against ats policy regarding legalization advocacy and i apologize for that,

however that could have been fixed with a simple edit, which usually happens when there is a small break in ats policy, instead, the thread was closed and deleted within 5 minutes

(i have seen many more distasteful and policy breaking comments receive an edit without being deleted completely)


i just dont understand how we can have a thread discussing nj state law but not ny state law


i dont bring this situation up to have the thread about nj state law deleted, as it is important information, i bring this up, because the nys situation is also important information and should be discussed

i feel this is something that should be discussed on a higher level at ats and hopefully those in charge can review this situation

if we cannot discuss state or federal law in this board, the board in my opinion does not have a reason to exist other then to get people banned and have threads deleted

if we are currently allowed to discuss state law, then the people in charge here need to look into the enforcement situation


i thank anyone for the time they take in looking into this situation

maybe some people may think it is a "light-hearted topic" for "stoners", but the legal situations taking place in our government today, statewide and nationwide, are important topics, not only to those who would benefit from new medical treatments, but by every american who pays taxes that may be going to suppressing someone from getting the treatment they need

Suggestion:

How about a small banner for most ATS (+BTS)pages that displays in real-time some of the latest breaking news stories. Maybe the last 3 or 4 at any one time.

I know we have the two "firehoses", but they are individual pages and need refreshing to get the latset posted threads.

Something small and simple would suffice but would keep members well and truly up to date as it happens. Like a scrolling box of messages.

Could call it the "ATS Pulse" or "ATS Heartbeat" or something like that.

Thoughts anyone?

but i would like to quickly talk about it here just to make sure i have it understood correctly now



because the topic i posted, is a topic about a bill that has not yet passed, and has not yet been voted on, it is not allowed

however if there are bills that do pass, then we are allowed to talk about them?


so the reason nj state law would still be left up, is because it has already become law

and the reason the ny state law one was taken down, was because it is still in the planning stages? or the pre-vote stages for lack of a better term?



is this correct? if so i wont make that mistake again and i do apologize for my misunderstandings


but if this is correct, i would respectfully ask that those in charge maybe rethink that, i agree speculation and advocacy isnt necessary here, but i do feel that we should be able to talk about the things that our government plans on doing

personally i think bills that are on its way to becoming law are almost more important than ones that already have become law

i feel that way because once its law, its harder to reverse, however if you know a vote is about to take place, the people have more power because they are then able to contact their politicians if necessary


i truly do think it is important to discuss what our governments are planning on doing, that seems to be what takes place everywhere else on ats, i dont understand why it should be different on the alternative substances board

well i thought i had it figured out, seems that we can talk about things that are legal after they have been legalized, but talking about future legal issues that are taking place in the government arent allowed

but then i go to the alternative substance boards and theres still a lot of questionable threads, according to everything that has been explained to me by mods and others in u2u's

the enforcement thing in the alternative substances still shows bias, i would like to know why some threads are allowed to speculate and talk about things that = advocacy for legalization while others who arent necessarily advocating it, but informing as to what is taking place, is deleted

personally i think you have a very good idea, but to just add to that idea, i feel if that was something that was done, we would also need an area where those that scroll in real time, would be archived to allow for further discussion

also if it is a busy news-day or week, and someone doesnt visit ats for a while, they should still be able to check the stories that scrolled while they were not present online

if only to gain the knowledge of something that happened, or even add their insight to the situation

Understood, but that's where the "ATS and NEWS Firehoses" can be used, each containing the latest news stories posted. They're in the main toolbar at the top.

thank you for pointing that area out, i always forget about it

but i must ask, are certain topics allowed to be spoken about there, i thought thats why the alternative area was made, because that was the only area of ats those subjects are allowed?
