Skyfloating is not listed as a moderator for this forum - see that list that says who the moderators for the forum are? The person your acting hysterical over isn't on it. As such, he has no authority over this forum. You'll have to target someone else for your "ATS mason conspiracy."

I wish ignorance like yours would be silenced. It discredits good sites like ATS. Unfortunately the moderators are big on free speech here, so even those who do the site a disservice are allowed to say what they like.

Well if that is the case.. then Achillies should make the proper appeal to the Mods and request an unbiased ruling. and then we will see if it is as he claims, that he is the victim of an overbearing, overreaching masonic Mod, or if said Mod was simply executing his duty and is having blame cast at him for his affiliations.

And even if Achilles does not make this appeal, i am. I ask that no less then 3 ATS mods examine his 2 removed posts and make a ruling so that there will be no question.

What I find Amazing Secret Master is that when you actually tell most people the secrets of Masonry THEY DONT BELIEVE YOU!! Veiled Symbols and spiritual path couldn’t possibly be the secret. It must be a conspiracy, or my favorite is we just aren’t a high enough level to know!!! lol

I agree AA. They claim that we are blind, and can not.. or will not see.

But they are equally as blind as they claim us to be. they continue cite sources that have been debunked and exposed as hoaxes or slander. claiming that it is part of the masonic disinformation machine to debunk these accusations.

If this were not sad enough on it's own.. they refuse to examine the several hundred years of masonic teachings and history for themselves.. instead relying on the rantings of a few modern conspiracy theorists and strategically edited material to form their so called basis of facts.

And while i wont point the finger at 12.21.12, i do agree that there is an alarming amount of internet sock puppetry at work with regards to the anti-masonic movement, we have seen this on ATS before. we will continue to see it.

I have often wondered if the perpetuators of the anti-masonic movement here on ATS even believe their words, or if they are just trying to antagonise masons here.

Then again, i also wonder sometimes if the anti-masonic movement isnt an illuminati orchestrated manuever to remove a potenial threat to their powerbase, and if the anti-mason conspiracy theorists here are nothing more then their pawns in this game.

They won’t examine the hundreds of years of Masonic material because it’s too much work!! They rely upon others to do their DD for them, and when you rely upon others for information you become just like everyone else! That’s why the mass of population is uniformed or ill informed. Take your pick.

If not, the more likely explaination is that he is conveniently changing what the actual contents were. It is not the first time he would have said something that warrented removal or moderation.

Didn't see it,s o I can't verify what he said. When it comes to him, I won't say anything about the probability of him changing what he posted.
That's what he said was posted, before it he made a post that was a bit insulting towards LowLevelMason, which was removed.
However, that's what he says happened, and he sent me a message about it.
I'll be impartial here and just present what he says has happened.
Personally, I've found the mods to be fairly impartial when it comes to rulings, and claims to the contrary usually without merit.

Freemasons are pretty much on every other street corner.
High school and elementary school education is pretty much a cliff notes of world history.
You don't learn that George Washington was a brewer, Franklin was a lecher, Jefferson had a thing for his slaves, or really any bit of trivia about famous people.
You learn about what they did, when, and maybe a few details that may or may not be embellished.

You are free to learn about it elsewhere. A lot of folks don't see Masonry as such a big deal, and a while back it used to be fairly well respected.

i have to say that joshnorton, lowloevelmason, masonicus are
doing an extremely good job communicating to non-masons
on ATS, non-masons including myself.

i'm happy that this communication exists and appears to
be sincere. let us have that dialog...

I really don't think so. Masonry isn't all that exclusive. Sure, no women, no atheists, no felons, but otherwise? We let almost anyone in. Neither do we claim to be the only way to enlightenment. The teachings of Masonry offer one path to self knowledge. People for centuries have arrived at the same destination traveling different roads. Honestly it's not all that different than a self-help course.

We want the lessons to mean something, not just be listened to once and forgotten. The theatrics, the solemnity, the archaic language... these all serve to separate the experience from our day to day lives. Not as something better, but as something different so that it will stand out and hopefully not be easily passed by.

Because at some level, there still has to be a separation between the insiders and outsiders. Those who know and do not say, and those who say but do not know.

Why do you believe that? Such divisiveness is contrary to the idea of brotherhood and "meeting on the level".

As recently discussed in the ATS Issues thread, the airing of dirty laundry doesn't do much to keep the thread on topic. Achilles is highly excitable and has gotten himself in trouble on many occasions. His negative score should be indication of that. In fact, it's clear that his supposed copy & paste in his U2U was a fake, because he's never been polite to the Masons that he's convinced are brainwashed. Look at his post history if you have any doubts as to his general tone and temperament. That he just got slapped on the wrist for it is the only reason he's pretending to play nice for the moment. We'll return to our regularly scheduled programing any time now...

So heres some more questions for you, the interviewing proccess shall continue.
