Trying this again. You successfully answered your question who are the elect. More interesting is why can the elect be decieved?

I believe the Jews ate the elect. The Messianic Jews are the ones who accepted Christ as their messiah. The others are looking for the messiah therefore can easily be decieved.

What about christians if they are a part of the elect group? The pretrib rapture theory. They will be looking for Christ's return first before the antichrist or tribulation starts. When the antichrist hits the scene claiming to be the messiah they may flock to him thinking he is going to deliever then from the antichrist and tribulation. They coule take the mark of the beast thinking it was the mark of God.

Those who see through the lies and deception could very well question their faith and belief in God. That is when they will need their faith the most, and may loose their faith because of their questioning. The same questioning could happen in mid tribulation if they know 100% sure they are going through it.

Agreed. He also knows his time is short and will strike out with everything he has. I know there is a lot more to this.
