Hey! I reupped on my heavy duty aluminum foil and my aspirin bottle is full! LOL.
Time will tell. Another two years go by and still no Fosset remains will further alternative theories.
I had a gut instinct reaction to his going missing that something wasn't right. He was a very brave and ambitious man. Deserving of many accolades. I hate the thought of his body out in the desert with the scorpions and snakes without a proper and noble burial.

This might be an appropriate time to post this article from Science Daily just to get a better handle on this dimension malarky as far as possibilities are concerned.

Scientists at Duke and Rutgers universities have developed a mathematical framework they say will enable astronomers to test a new five-dimensional theory of gravity that competes with Einstein's General Theory of Relativity.

The "braneworld universe" has five dimensions -- four spatial dimensions plus time -- compared with the four dimensions -- three spatial, plus time -- laid out in the General Theory of Relativity.

If the braneworld theory proves to be true, "this would upset the applecart," Petters said. "It would confirm that there is a fourth dimension to space, which would create a philosophical shift in our understanding of the natural world."

Of course I am all for "phiosophical shifts"

being a stickler.

his wife as stated he did not wear the watch that day unfortunately.

this is the watch he would have had

The operation succeeded in finding other missing persons cases dating back to the Sixties – but no sign of Steve, who had left in shorts and T-shirt carrying just one bottle of water, no GPS watch and no parachute.

source

it could be two fold he could just be dead in the desert. imagine a senario where your crashing, and crash into a snad dune the plane slides down and by making the plane slide it causes all the loose sand to slide down as well engulfing the plane. it sounds far fetched and the odds of that might be astronomical but look at this man. his life is already astronomical in comparison.

or he did find the gateway and is now in the 4th dimension being proded and tested on by their beings.

I believe there is considerable amounts of data of ships and planes going 'missing' in the bermuda triangle.
The possibility of Fosset going bye bye in another dimension in my opinion is not to be excluded.
I hope the Hendrix golden ship picked him up and he is enjoying his stay. Very cool unit ghostryder. Initial reports said he had it on him. Which adds to the mystery.

Hmmm perhaps those 'story writers' got that idea from the Looking Glass Project at Los Alamos?

im not doubting the possibilities of extra dimensional travel at all. it could be he has gone to the other dimension but in turn you must see this also as what it could also might be a simple airplane accident.

the best pilots also mess up sometimes and when they do its usually big. so it was only a matter of time since something like this could have happened. i know Fosset and Branson were friends with the same taste for adventure. has Branson done anything recently or is he taking a break from all this since his friend died?

also check out this story about Andrew McAuley he also disappeared. but he was trying to set the world record in sea kayaking.

i am hoping (even though its small) that he did go to the 4th dimension and has found a way to get back. having him walk into the CNN building demanding an interview would most defiantly be the biggest news story of the century!!

And whats up with Sir Charles Branson? With his considerable wealth and means don't you think he would continue with recovery efforts at all cost?
It just doesn't make sense to me. Being they were the best of buds and all.

I've been reading science fiction for decades now. I've seen the ideas from authors of the early part of the last century come into fruition in my lifetime. This is the reason I count nothing out of the impossible from the scientific community.

Scientists have been researching in all types of areas for a long time and we have seen many advances and innovations; surely there are things that have been discovered, that are seemingly in the realm of science fiction-type discoveries, that we don't see. Just my opinion, of course.

Just imagine the supposed utopian civilization that the "ghost" Steve Fossett described! It seems to me that in a world where there are no wars or poverty that everyone could happily concentrate on their chosen work, such as research. Reseach that could lead to opening a dimensional door to our world.

As for someone telling us not to speculate for fear that others would think us a bunch of loonies on this site...well, the evidence of so many people's interest in this thread says it all quite clearly. There is enough of a ring of truth, or possibility, to the idea for people to believe and be interested.

I think maybe hoaxers prey on stories like these. If a man is missing without a trace, then there is no way for anyone to prove what really happened to him. Therefore, it is extremely easy to write up some fake emails with hearsay and make up whatever you want...

These people just as easily could have typed out some story that Fossett supposedly told some anonymous "friend" that he was in contact with Alien beings, and that he was going to go visit their planet. Same thing. Just as unbelievable and just the same amount of proof... none...

There must be an accounting for what the pilots names were that perished in those six plane crashes. I can't find it but it should be out there.

In case you guys didn't know this about Richard Branson, he is a hoaxer himself. He flies around in hot-air balloons dressed up as UFOs just to mess with people.

One thing I would like to know...

All these OTHER planes they found... where is the data? Did they find any bodies? Do they have names? and under what circumstances did they disappear under?

A conspiracy of ONE is all well and good... but suddenly finding other missing planes has to be an interesting factor..

Have any other 'valuable' people 'vanished' lately? Has anyone looked?

Is this Area of Nevada similar to the Bermuda triangle? Philadelphia project was supposedly a time experiment... maybe those Area 51 boys are still tinkering?

Lots to ponder here...

I don't think this thread is about hoaxers getting there ya yas off at all.
The fact of the matter is a very influential member of the community went missing without a trace, and is worthy of debate.

So because neither he or his plane were ever found, that automatically points to the 'fact' he may have discovered a gateway to the 4th dimension? Err, ok if you say so..

Nice - and to add to that they found other wreaks from decades ago from others that also 'went looking for the 4th dimension'!

p.s isn't the 4th dimension time? I'm pretty good at doing nothing with the 4th dimension

One thing Fossett has done is make himself disappear on paper. He technically now does not exist, he's presummed dead.

He has more money that I'd bother to count (and probably him too). Like what some have said in this the thread; the world is a strange place...and I say, so are it's inhabitants.

It's simply with that fortune to make yourself disappear and reappear as someone else, seperate bank accounts under an alias? etc etc....a 4th deminsion? Yes, it's called a fake ID and a fake life, but that's in this world.

I haven't really followed this story for the feeling that I got about his disappearnce being a...hoax on his part. If my best friend or family member had mysteriously disappeared...I would never stop the search. Somebody knows something...from the gov't (probably, considering where he "crashed") to his close family and friends (Branson).

I believe he's alive and well...living in Brazil on a beach in a nice place with a martini at hand, while talkin to Branson about how "it's too hot today.".

I'm not knocking Fossett, he did want most think of doing.

Cheers Fossett..or whoever you are now, cheers.

My 2ps worth...he was shot down for getting to close to Area 51/Groom Lake and his crash has been covered ever since. More plausible than the discovery of a new dimension.....

Another helper for the concept of the 4th dimension this time from Carl Sagan.

Sounds a lot like Agent Smith in The Matrix doesn't he, I think I read somewhere Hugo Weaving based the voice on Carl Sagans which is odd because he sounded exactly the same in The Lord of the Rings
