My daily planner which is my "life-line" ends on the last Day of December EVERY year. Do I think the worlds gonna end? Of course not, I just go to office max, and get a set of Calendar refills for it, they cost about $5. Something the Mayans could not do, to just get a replacement for such a "sacred" stone.

Where there is expectation there is opportunity. Now, I'm not advocating taking advantage of people, but just as a bunch of Y2K specialists sprang up all over the place just before the year 2000, so too I expect to see a myriad of survival related businesses spring up everywhere for the year 2012.

I had originally decided to prep for martial law (whatever the reason to initiate it, it does appear that it is very likely in the near future). I had considered doing alot of different things to ensure survival if necessary, yet lacking extensive funds and advanced knowledge of what is most likely to happen that would affect me the worst, I have decided that it would be best for me to just live my life as it is right now. Should that be only 4 years, so be it. If I fall into gobs of money I will probably work on survival, but in the meantime I'll live like I only have a few years left.

Some people put too high a price on staying alive and totally neglect the things that make life worth living.

Perhaps I shall open a survival gear store.

Well said, as I put my 2 cents in as well earlier somewhere in this thread.
I named the people that have looked at this whole Ancient Astronaut theory and as explained not only did the sumerians know of Nibiru so did the aztecs and Egyptians who called the planet-"The Destroyer".

I also pointed out that The Chinese have ancient works about two suns in the sunset what does that tell you! I hope for all our sake its a hoax but the more you study the ancient writings id believe it over the biblical writings anyday!

OK, so from all the photo's I have seen it appears that at this present time, we should theoretically be able to see this thing by our naked eyes, right? We should all go outside at various key parts of the day; sunrise, before lunch, after lunch, sunset at a minimum and see what we can see. Then post results here on ATS. Just take care of your eyes and not stare into the sun or do anything foolish. Obviously, if we can see Niburu, those who have the ability to take video or pictures should and plaster the web with them and try to force the media to address it by informing enough people and possibly showing them how they can see Niburu. "Hey look, it's Niburu!"

If I am incorrect then does anyone know when we should be able to see Niburu?

Hopefully, if all of us who live in various parts have good weather should happen to spot Niburu, then more of us would believe and become more pro-active on asking ourselves "How should we prepare?".

I personally am all for preparing for a martial law anyway. Events going on currently lead to a strong possibility of martial law happening with or without Niburu. I see Washington inching closer towards a ban on weopons in non-military personel. First suggestion I would recomend is get armed at your local gun shows and keep your yaps shut about it. Do so in a manner that cannot be traced. (Cash only) Do not purchase anything with a cc that you don't want spying eyes to know about. This also applies to future ammo purchases. Best way to not get toys taken away is to hide it and keep your yap shut. Don't tell your friends or co-workers about it. They could follow in the footsteps of Sony records and offer a $5,000 reward for turning in those who you know who download music illegaly.

In my honest opinion and I stress OPINION, we should be more concerned about events in the middle east leading up to or triggering WW3. I feel this may happen before 2012. Again IMHO. We need to keep watch of what Washington is doing. Keep track of your local and State laws of what is being brought forth and passed. These are things we all need to act on and take immediate action.

As you see bills you object to being presented, you may be asking yourself, "What can an average American citizen do?". The answer is we have always had the power to change things. We just never did anything. We have to put most of the blame on ourselves for allowing this civil liberties being breached. Senate has already passed this, it is stalled in congress, though.

If 80% of the registered voters in that person's precinct demand they vote one way regarding a bill, the representative is most likely going to vote your way. Otherwise we will not vote for them nest term. They will not be re-elected. Most representatives want to be re-elected. All of us need to spread this secret to all and all of us need to start excercising our voices and votes.

When we get closer to 2012 then we can refocus attention as necessary. But as always, the more we know sooner, the better chance we have to prepare for survival.

IMHO, these images aren't something that would convince someone to get ready to run to the hills.

Then again, I've seen telescope photos that were authentic that looked fake too. Of known stars and such, of course.

If something were in a orbital path that was at such an angle that it could only be seen from a pole, that would be plausible. Which, supposedly, that's the case with this planet.

What kind of bugs me is the whole 2012 thing. I'm not sure that the way our current calendar was lined up with the Mayan one is correct. Close, but not spot on.

What I do find interesting though, is the old adage that the more we learn the less we know. Someone says "that's not how it works", but maybe years or decades later they are eventually proven wrong as we learn more and more about the mysteries of the reality in which we live.

Something may not be possible by what we know now, but if it is something that is just a theory (no matter how good), than anything is possible.

I'm not sure what to make of the overall concept of this. Some points make sense, some don't. Maybe it's real, and deep in my soul I know it but my conscious mind can't/won't comprehend it?

If it were true, hell no the government won't tell you. It would create a mass chaotic world to live in that would probably be worse than the event itself.

On the other hand, maybe there isn't anything to tell. Even if they wanted to.

If Nibiru is visible only during daylight then it must lie within an inner orbit of the sun OR lie on the opposite side of the sun in which case we would see it in 6 months time at night.

So 6 months from now we will all know for certain. It can't possibly be within an inner orbit otherwise millions of people worldwide would have seen it.....including many amateur astronomers who would publish their findings on the net.

If its half the size of the sun and on the edge of the solar system again amateur astronomers would have seen it, photographed it and published their findings on the web. If its so far out that the disc size is comparable to , for example, Pluto (and thus difficult to observe) then it is very very far away and moving very fast to get here by 2012. In fact it is moving so fast that for it to have a 3600 year orbital cycle it must be causing our closest visible neghbouring stars a few problems as well.....it hasn't though has it. Those pesky astronomers would have noticed something.

I have "used" amateur astronomers since they are not answerable to the authorities. Unless you are going to convice me that every single one of them all round the world has been gotten at!

The numbers don't add up, sorry guys. Nice story though. I do like these stories, I love Sci-fi. I would like some answers to the anomolies of the past as well, another interest of mine. It is very obvious that we know little of our ancient past despite what the "experts" claim to be the "truth".

I'm afraid I have to take anything coming out of bible thumping centre of the universe US with a pinch of salt these days....It must be something in their water?

Those numbers are great and all but can you post actual evidence to indicate something really is out there? For example, if planet x passes close enough every 25920 years to cause global destruction, there would be geological evidence of it. Is there? If not, no global destruction.

i have not read the whole thread but maybe this has not been mentioned,it is a well known fact that throughout the world ,especially usa and russia, they have enough nuclear missiles to destroy the world many many times over, ever thought why the stockpilling?is there not a possibility that these nuclear missiles could be used to destroy a planet that may get close, this would answer a lot of questions for any secrecy that the whole systems of governments throughout the world having been working together for this purpose, just a thought,mike

If this planet X is only 4 years away from our solar system, wouldn't it be clearly visible by all and so therefor verifiable as a fact and truth ? I mean we can see planets that are light years away with standard telescopes, this one is only 4 years away ! So unless it's very very small it should be visible, no ?

If i'am totally off track with this question please forgive me, i'am not all that good when comes too physics and all that.

if Nibiru is indeed a brown dwarf then I can understand it would be hard to detect. The first brown dwarf was discovered in 1995... not too long ago.

The thing that keeps me intrigued by this Nibiru theory is that it would help to explain why ancient civilizations and their knowledge have dissapeared over the years. It also helps to understand why the Egyptians built the pyramids... to tell us something through structures that would survive Nibiru. It is a scary thought but I think we can survive this as long as we don't panic and we are prepared.

If people in the know about Nibiru are keeping it a secret to prevent panic, then they either have a way for keeping everyone on the planet safe who wants to survive, or they only care about themselves and will hide when this thing comes. Either way I think they are making a mistake since the public should know about this and they should know what steps they need to take to prepare as if they are preparing against any other natural disaster on the Earth.

Apart from his own personal translation and interpretation of some Mesopotamian texts, there is absolutely no evidence whatsoever for the existence of this object, nor that nay ancients people believed in such an object or had knowledge of any solar body beyond Saturn.

If you believe in Nibiru, do you also believe in Narnia? Maybe Narnia would be a good place to sit out the impending catastrophe when Nibiru passes Earth in May 2003?

It's rather sad that people perpetuate hoaxes like this with the sole purpose of either making money for themselves or simply causing distress to others. It's notable that even Sitchin himself does not predict an imminent return of his fictional planet! And surely he should know?

If people thought Nibiru was close in 2003 and still nothing has happened then nothing will happen in a few years either.

Some are even claiming that planet x is a brown dwarf and yes it would be extremely visible if it existed and on course as is claimed. You're asking the right questions. Good Job

After years of wondering why CNN was instructed to pull the JPL announcement
that there is a large orbiting object I've come to accept its more than likely something the Russian's launched or something the secret government might have launched to resemble a planet. Taking a cue from Lucas productions.

We have since found several more planets beyond the Kuiper Belt and none of them have a 3600 year orbit.

Here are a few things to keep in mind with regard to Brown Dwarfs

Gliese 229b was the first Brown Dwarf which was discovered in 1995 and is aproximately 18 light years away (approx. 200 trillion kilometers). Now planet X is supposed to be MUCH closer then Gliese 229b which means at a distance of even Pluto's orbit, Planet X would be a billion times brighter, and very visible glowing at magnitude 2, making it a relatively bright star! It would be the third brightest object in the sky (only the Moon and Sun would be brighter). Do you see it? No? Then it's not there so don't worry

Here is some info. regarding Neptunes perturbations

In 1989 the first and only space probe to visit Neptune, Voyager 2
gave more accurate readings of the mass and determined that Neptune
was .5% smaller than previously thought.
In 1992, Dr. Myles Standish used the updated mass in his calculations
and determined the perturbations actually didn't exist.
