I call for Jesus Christ to return in 40 days, or for a great sign in the sky signaling his return.

I did not come to argue. I came in straight up gave you Jesus Christ words. Which is what we are suppose to do.

I did that. That's all I have to do. Good bye now.

You could be right, I could be wrong in that I am violating the way Christ’s wants me to pray. But I could also be right, neither you or I know for sure. I simply thought I’d take a chance and pray for a miracle that many are waiting for. Goodbye.

I believe in God, and I’m not testing him when I request this, it is in fact a prayer when I invite him to send Christ back within forty days, or give us a great sign in the sky (within 40 days) signaling his return, or both. Certainly if nothing happens it will give more ammunition to the unbelievers, but if something does happen, perhaps it will give faith to many more. Perhaps if we are given a sign, we can go further and win more dialogue with our seemingly distant creator. Either way if nothing happens it won’t alter the faith of a true believer, or the views of a nonbeliever.

Hi S.S/
I went back to your first post in this thread and can see that you are a believer in Christ...but why must you seek 'signs' in the sky for unbelievers?
God will in time(His time)show all that He is capable of.
In the meantime we as Christians should act as Christians were in the early century of believers in the truth of Christ.
We should not go out of our way to seek miracles or signs because we have faith,Hope and Love.
If we allow ourselves to fall and not get up, then we allow others to trample on us....By showing others good examples of what are Christian is suppose to
By one asking God for a 'sign' to show others that God exists is to satisfy our own desires to be fulfilled, and not Gods,by doing this,we allow Pride to step in...we want recognition from the people...
Being Humble is the Opposite of Pride.
Should not we as Christians pray for those that yet have not come to believe?
We can use prayer anywhere....no man has to know what we do......It is God that can hear our faithfull prayers.....and in time they will be answered according to God will and not ours..
quote//St Paul (Hebrews 13:14 ) “For here we have no lasting city, but we seek the city that is to come” was a living reality that was burning in their blessed hearts.
We should plant good seeds(as Scripture says)and from this, only goodness can come out.
This world is temporarily for all humankind.....believe it or not.
I'm sure God understands man better then we know ourselves.

Why? Well I had what I consider to be a vision when I was child. In it I saw myself somehow being instrumental in the end of this world, and the ushering in of a new one. So from time-to-time I like to throw out different ideas in the hopes of kick starting the process.

Maybe you are right, maybe we should not seek miracles or signs from god as we have faith, hope and love. but many more do not have faith , and I’m simply praying for them And it would be okay with me if I didn’t get any recognition from man if my prayer was miraculously answered. (Honestly though I’d probably appreciate a little from god, but hey!, that too could be wrong. I’m merely experimenting with prayer, trying to get others to add their power to it. If conventional thinking works why will Christ come back to throw the masses into a fiery lake and take only a few to heaven?

Hi SS/

It is written and believed by early Church Fathers that the ''Fallen Angels'' will be replaced with humans at the end of the World.
We do not have or know the exact amount of Fallen Angels, but we do know that Scripture says 'Thousands upon thousands fell on earth..

I also remember reading that the end of the world will have many people wanting more knowledge about the end of times.......I do believe we are living in the end of times, but we cannot simply sit and wait.....
I don't think it hurts anyone by using prayer in true hope to bring faith in the world, but we should be careful as to how we word it.
God loves us all and because we are human and not some mechanical being,we are not controlled by God....
Evil in this world is caused by man and greed.
Some people chose to blame their mistakes and misfortunes on God.
When good things happen, man gets recognition.
anyway,S.S,hope you do find that what you seek.....

Regards Hellen! Peace. I’m going to bed now. You seem like a decent person and I can understand your skepticism. God has performed some great miracles in my life ! Certainly I can request some on behalf of others.

For anyone else - I’m no longer going to defend my motives for doing this, I've said enough, I’m just doing it, and if any one wants to assist in prayer that would be great! If not please don’t be a part of it.

"And Jesus answered him, THE FIRST OF ALL THE COMMANDMENTS IS,
Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt LOVE THE
LORD THY GOD with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind,
and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And THE SECOND
is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none
other commandment greater than these." Mark 12:29- 31

SexySadie, this is the one thing I remember when I think about GOD, now even "EVEN" if you are wrong, anyone who truly believes in GOD must comply to two very simple commandments!

"For as the lightning comes from the east and is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.... But immediately after the tribulation of those days
'the sun will be darkened,
and the moon will not give its light,
and the stars will fall from the sky,
and the powers of the heavens will be shaken';

And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory.

I pray all the time for a sign...

I at least agree with the first part of your statement.

God will return at his convenience, not ours. Christians have been told what to pray for in the Lord's prayer and has even told us not to make our prayers in public but to pray in private where only our Father can hear us.

Now about that reality thing Madness............................

Thank you. So let all who are interested, start focusing on prayer, and set our hopes on the signs that might await us. My request is a sincere prayer. It seems like an giant task, but I have giant faith, and will not be disappointed if my request goes unanswered as shouldn’t anyone else with real faith.

Yabbut, If your faith is in doubt, which yours is, how can your prayer be answered? A catch 22 there. Needing proof is a lack of faith.

Therefore all those who seek the lord shall never get the lord, not even a reasonable facsimili thereof.

Sorry, not enough faith!
If you have enough faith, you believe anyway, and god is still a no-show anyhow.

Mat 12:39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, ...

Does the bible protect it's own butt, or what!?

If an evil generation (us) will never see a sign, I suppose a good generation who does not need saving will get a response?

GOD

"Here I am, even though you didn't need me, I just felt like I needed someone to want me, I want you...to want me!"

God, if your real, just prove it!
Those who ask questions lack faith, it's only logical.

nah, it's not going to happen. probability is completely against it

i mean, it's a ridiculous assertion enough that the prophecies of any of the religions will come true, let alone such a specific one.

i'm sorry if i factor in the existence of every single other arrogant religion and these little things we like to call "facts" (you know, those things religion really isn't supported by) into my assessment of the situation

There are no facts discounting a progenitor of everything. God. Frankly, you won't find facts validating Christ and his works. Every work of man is flawed, the word of God is flawless, but the mind of the scribe isn't.

Why don't you just become a satanist? One life to live... may it be filled with pleasure!

You will find your proof, the question is, where will you be when you find it.

yes, but there are facts that disprove every single religion on the planet...
sure, the abstract concept of a deity cannot be proved or disproved, but the religious assertions can.

Why don't you just become a satanist? One life to live... may it be filled with pleasure!

see, that's the stereotype here, that all we atheists really can care about is pleasure.

You will find your proof, the question is, where will you be when you find it.

that statement is filled with far too much arrogance.

Confidence is quite different from arrogance. You are confident in your assertions.

I was not stereotyping, it was merely an emotionally charged statement, I'm a human too!

God is perfect man is not. Jesus rectified many of Moses's laws. I believe what Jesus said, and what he performed. Where is the evidence there was no Jesus.

All people are quick to adopt the writings of men. Every book, written by a mind, every fact found by a mind, every instrument created by a mind. One that is not perfect.

Nothing disproves God. Proof is immaterial.
