I call for Jesus Christ to return in 40 days, or for a great sign in the sky signaling his return.

I believe in Jesus and the word of God as written in the Bible.....if that is a "mainstreamer" then you can put me in that box if it makes you feel better.

I am totally astonished that some here seem to know the mind of God based on THEIR interpretation of the Bible.

The arrogance is truly amazing.

Pride goeth before the fall.

BTW, am I allowed to interpret the Bible as I see fit or should I defer to others?

I applaud you for carving out your own spiritual path in personal way . The people I’ve met who belong to organized religion have a very cut and dry interpretation that they allow their congregation to accept. But with over 2 billion Christians worldwide and knowing only a few will be saved it doesn’t look good for the masses. I hope I didn’t annoy you.

lol whaaa, you always find a way to attack others. Fortunately I'm above all that. Anyway my interpretation of the Bible is consistent with the vast majority of Christianity. You don't need to agree....

Take care...

You are the attacker. And I hope not for your sake , you're not with the vast majority as the bible insinuates the vast majority is going to hell.

I share scripture and you say this?

Guess YOU are now the Judge.

Unbelievable....

I am not even going to engage on this "hell" concept.... I think I'll be kindly showing myself to the proverbial door and leaving this thread.

Sadie, I do wish the best for you. I hope that God shows you whatever it is that you are looking for. God bless.

Let's be accurate here you said

"lol whaaa, you always find a way to attack others. Fortunately I'm above all that. Anyway my interpretation of the Bible is consistent with the vast majority of Christianity. You don't need to agree....

You did the attacking. I did the defending and it's true that the bible does say most will go to hell.

So you consider pointing out an attacker as an attack? Never mind no need to answer.

Think I'll show myself the door and stop casting pearls in this thread.

Blessings....

I’m referring to your prior posts, and I'm yet to find a pearl in anything you've said.

Ok now the door....

I just thought it was funny the way you said kinglizard was attacking somebody when he actually didn't.

This whole thread is also ridiculous, do you think Jesus will beckon at your call?

You mean casting pearls before swine? You don't attack, wow what hypocricy. What hypocrisy!

All I’ve wanted is to pray for a sign in the sky, and for Christ to return. all you've done is interfere and insult with scripture. Lame.

Whether he does or not is up to him. Not me and not you. Maybe Christ won't think this thread is ridiculous, maybe he'll think you are, or maybe not. Who is to say certainly not you or I, only god. So can I continue trying to recruit other prayers with your kind permission?

Hi/
I believe what you are doing is 'testing' God in a way that is not acceptable!
Miracles and signs in the sky are for those with little faith and this can cause some people to readily accept signs as a miracle from God, when this may not be the case, as the demons are known to do miracles in the sky as well(lower heavens)..scripture says this is common to those that seek miracles or signs over faith.
What does scripture say about those people(note that I am not Judging, but quoting Scripture)

"false prophets and false Messiahs will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect -- if that were possible" (Matthew 24:24 -- see also Matthew 7:15-23).

It is also written that we first seek God in humbleness and the things that are good ....His Kingdom and then our eyes shall be opened.

the Gospel: "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you" (Matthew 6:33)

If only, we all did this!
If we went after goodness and Rightousness, instead of falsehood and acceptance of peoples wants, then maybe our eyes would be opened.

just a few of my thoughts.
take care,
helen.

I think I might have mentioned this, maybe two or three million times before but for the record "I"M NOT TESTING GOD!". Only making a prayer for a sign in the sky (the bible states there will be great signs in the sky), or for Christ's return. Can we get over the concept of me testing god, and just see if my prayer is answered? I think people are putting the emphasis on me testing god because they are afraid he will not answer my prayer, even though it's done with all sincerity.

Hi/
Sorry as I did not read the full thread on your replies!

Though you do say that you are not testing God, it is a fact that ,this is what you are doing, maybe subcontiously to satisfy your desire of lack of faith?

God will return in His time, and not mans!

Do you know how many people are probably doing the same thing as you are wanting?
Why would you be any different to anyone else wanting the same, in Gods eyes?
God I'm sure treats everyone with the same respect.....as we all should do the same!
Do we?
There are so many miracles,be them big or small that point to Gods existence...why do we seek 'signs' in the sky?

It is not a fact that I am testing god. Note: I am not teting god I am trying a different kind of prayer, one that involves more than one person. I am not looking for a sign from god so that I can believe, as I already believe, but as a sign for those who are teetering in their faith as an alternative to Christ coming back if he's not ready. God may return in his own time and not mans, or however unlikely it seems, he may return in forty days. No one knows and I'm not making predictions as to when he will come back, only praying, is that allowed?

As the millenniums pass, even the most devout Christian has to wonder just when if ever Christ will return. There has to be some point at which we say, “either god loves us, and will return to us his only son as the bible promises, or god is not real, or he enjoys watching us suffer.” Throughout history men have tried in vain to predict the day of Christ’s second coming, but alas the masses are left with only silence and questions such as; How many tyrannical leaders will god allow to rule? How many greedy men will be allowed to make their fortunes on the backs of the poor? How many government’s will god allow to rule by deceit and terror? How many lies can be told, how many acts of violence can be perpetrated on children, or against other innocent people without a response from god?

Hmmm... I understand in later later paragraphs you mentioned that you believe in the Lord and have prayed for him to show you this sign you seek, it's just the way you titled your thread that may have thrown some people.

"I call for Jesus Christ to return in 40 days......" is very different sounding than "I prayed for Jesus Christ to return in 40 days" or even "I called for Jesus....."

Come on - reread your opening paragraph and you'll see why others have questioned your intent here.

So, I'll just say no, sexysadie - I don't sit around and question at some point "when if ever" Christ is going to show up because he's already here.

I'm curious, has he not baptized you yet, that you don't already know the truth?
