This is actually about a UN measure to ban States from discriminating against Religion.

however, the scriptures referenced by JW's doesnt just say religion will be banned. it says it will be destroyed.

the harlot's fleshy parts will be eaten (money the church has will be put to other uses) and she will be completely burned with fire. (the rest is dismantled)

there is a verse that says that god puts his idea into their hearts. so if people have a hard time seeing this prophecy come true, they are right. the worlds governments would not turn on religion, it brings too many benefits. but the verse is referring to the fact that its not their thought but god's

Miriam, you are correct.

What people are failing to see is that the current anti-religion and anti-Christian "campaign" going on right now, is helping the NWO agenda, Jehovah God will use the "8th king" (the UN) as revealed in the book of Revelation, to carry out his will, which is to destroy all false religion. People need to realize that when the ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT becomes a reality, the UN will be the governing body. People should do some research on the history of the UN... it's very eye opening!!!!

They may not have the power now, but they can. I doubt we will have to wait long to see how. Granted you have a lot of fundies who would fight this, but look at how many would welcome it. They will not be told to look at it as rights being taken people. No it will be presented as a way to encourage peace and so forth. Many will welcome it as a good idea and forget to look beyond at the fact that the biggest right will be being rob of them.

the funny thing about the UN is that it doesnt need power.

everyone is going on like the UN needs to force the governments to cooperate on this. the point is that god puts the idea in their heads.

how would god do that? no idea. but it implies that the governments do this because they will feel that they have to. the UN doesnt need "teeth" sort of speak.

they simply need to give the order, and the nations in the UN need to agree.

First of all, while many evils have been perpetuated worldwide in the name of religion, much good is also done by good people of various faiths. Who, by the way, vastly outnumber the nutcakes.

While the U.S. (I cannot speak for other countries) has been gradually eroding the right to public expression of religion, the right to meet privately cannot be rescinded except for in a fascist, communist, or similar type of dictator state. The U.S. is headed in that direction but this is being accomplished through incrementalism, which means that the actual ban on private meetings is a long way off. Though I believe it IS coming, eventually, at least for Christians.

Just because some fringe organization of atheists suggests a U.N. resolution does not mean it will pass, however, the idea has been put forth. It will continue to be put forth. Eventually it will be modified to apply only to those who believe in absolutes, so that the belief in relative truth and the private practice of all-inclusive, universal-type religions is permitted, while any belief in or practice of exclusive or absolute-truth-claiming religion will be banned.

However, the intent of this atheist organization is NOT that they expect the ban to be enacted by the U.N. The U.N. itself is powerless to enforce such a ban and it would not be passed by the U.N., anyway, and Mr. Last knows this. The point is to spread the IDEA that religion is a scourge so that as the idea of the illegalization of religion slowly takes hold, more and more people will buy into it. And when the New World Government is finally, officially in place, having replaced the U.N. and superseding all nations' governmental authority, then the atheist ideal, or at least the universalist religious ideal, will be firmly entrenched in the minds of the people. Then the worldwide fascist dictatorship will be in an actual position to bring about and enforce the new religious rules.

Remember, the method they use is incrementalism. What seems ridiculously impossible to us today is tomorrow's reality.

It will not be as progressive as some may think, just wait and see.

Again, do some research on the founding history of the UN. There is a BIG issue at hand here, I hope people realize what is really going on here.

to put it simply, Satan covets what rightly belongs to Jehovah God. He is a big copy cat. He is trying to do what Jehovah will soon do, which is to establish a universal heavenly government. Satan will do the same (but only for a short time), establish a One World Government so that EVERYBODY will worship him.

whether you are on the left, right, middle.... soon everyone will be FORCED to acknowledge who has the right to rule. It's actually so simple, but Satan has been blinding people for a very long time, he is so damn good about it. Open your eyes people, you may be on the wrong side and not even know it.

while I sincerely doubt that this will happen soon, or even in my lifetime... this really IS what needs to happen. More atrocities have been carried out and more wars have been fought in the name of religion than for any other reason. All religion does is create barriers between groups of people, and allow those in power and at the top of said religions to have absolute control over the masses.

What I expect to see is that the U.N. as we know it today will change radically or even be replaced by a new governing body with more authority. I believe it is coming in our lifetimes. The time for incrementalism is almost over. But until the constituent nations accede their governmental powers to the UN, the establishment of a universal religion cannot be enforced. This is why I believe that the UN will soon either morph into something a whole lot different than it is today or it will be replaced by a more authoritative body.

I just wondered if anyone might be confused by your categorizations of the world's religions as "false", seemingly indicating that you somehow think the new universal religion is better.

Now, I know as a Jehovah's Witness you believe ALL the religions of the world to be false (and as a Christian I disagree) - but what needs to be made clear is that the resulting universal religion enforced by the U.N. will be the most false of all. I suspect you believe this but I am not sure your post made it clear.

Unless you are saying that Jehovah God will Himself endow the U.N. with its new authority? And that the religion they establish will be the true religion. Please tell me this is not what you are not saying!

I fear that a world without relegion would be to good to be true, and there are yet enough gullible people willing to further defend each of the invisible men hiding behind the clouds they pray for.

no, that is definitely NOT what I am saying. Jehovah's kingdom is a heavenly government, not a worldly one. According with the book of Revelation, the "8th king" will rule for "an hour", which means it's rule will be very short, then it also will be destroyed.

BTW, the 8th king from Revelation is the UN.

Yeah, they will I agree. If NWO intends to play its hand with force, its will be very interesting. This is also the moment it will begin to be understood and stopped by the world's citizens. It will discover that all its secret plans and half hidden activities, never fully understood by many, will be revealed The dictatorship with force to control that which they have no authority to enact upon will cause 7 billion SOVERIEGN people to meet this head on. I am waiting for them to reveal themselves. They will be defeated in the years ahead.

Edit to add: its not whats in secret that counts, its when people get it. Its important they reveal themselves so we can finish them off and get our world back.

These are completely different things you know.
So I feel very confused with this thread right now. Here I was hoping that NWO was going to stop hiding or half hiding its actities and challenge the people, because when they do there is no going back. When they lose, they will never have power, patents, money, federal banks, nothing. People will know after the long painful struggle that they are evil. Any move they make is a revealing one and they risk it all.

Yeah I am confused as well. Definitely some dissonance between these articles. I grabbed the one I did from an earlier page...and it seemed to be the consensus on page 2 that this was a UN Ban in support of Religion. But I am not entirely sure

The supreme God Jehovah has had to yield power to a lesser god Satan for 6,000 years to allow time to prove Satan's challenge was a lie to the angels, thereby vindicating Jehovah. The Jehovah Witness viewpoint along with many other religions adopted this common view for the unexplainable suffering without limiting GOD in such a way that HE doesn't have any control over such affairs. ...... WOW!! so all this is because God has to be right. What a shi^t job by a GOD in trying to vindicate himself!
