If anyone at all, it would probably be Taiwan. The U.S. would beat the ever living crap out of China if they tried anything against us. We have technology that is probably unimaginable, we view the F-22, B-2 and F-117 planes as advanced technology, but we haven't even seen the latest from Skunkworks and Area-51...besides, love it or hate it America is very experienced in modern warfare, something that can't be said about China.

I think the cited article was writted during peyote season on the border.

In regards to China. They would be a very bad threat, but I do not think "island hopping" is their style. From what I know of their military history they do not hop. They expand outward securing their rear.

The US would not be the first target. It would be the last.

I see the buildup as taking what they see as their rightful place of power in the wonderful world of mutually assured destruction.

They have never gotten over what the Japanese did in WWII. I would not want to be Japan when the 99 year US protection contract runs out.

I don't think they ever want to be on the receiving end again.

Especially with the recent behavior other current world powers.

There is no sense in any war right now. America is not fighting a 'war' in Iraq. You see, there is a reason why no 2 Nuclear powers have gone to war in the past.
Some wars just don't benefit your financially, no matter how many guns and planes you sell yourself.

The next war will be fought with economics and finance (oil and energy in the mix). The outcome of this 'war' might lead to conventional military warfare.

I am an American of English/Chippewa descent, I am a self stylized patriot but not overmuch a nationalist although I don't think that wanting national soverignty to reign is bad or wrong morrally. However...

you were the first sane person on this thread to understand what they are preparing for......

China is preparing to repatriate Taiwan.....

They will NOT invade the US imo unless the US interferes with their invasion via treaty.....of course they must wait until after the olympics.....

But after that....I expect to see China roll into Taiwan with their now amphibious fleet.....

The US has a treaty that obligates the US to protect Taiwan in that event.....unfortunately for Taiwan.....China holds roughly 1.2 trillion US dollars like a sword of damocles above America.....due to Bush/Clinton folly........since China has been loaning the money to the US for the middle east folly....they are now in a strategic position to retake Taiwan.....

If America resists the anexxing of Taiwan.....they can dump their dollar reserves on the world market causing an economic meltdown in America.....

If America responds with Military action....EVERYONE in both countries will die due to nuclear holocaust.....

China WILL go into Taiwan after the olympics because of what America has done in Iraq,,,,They will see their argument for repatriating Taiwan as MORE just than what the US did in Iraq......Arguing that the Iraq debacle is colonial imperialism while they are simply trying to reunite their country and will spin it that way on the world stage.

The US will probably denounce China moving into Taiwan, but renege on the treaty to defend those in Tawain as the USA will know that the US Dollar reserves that China holds will cause a Grand Depression making the Great Depression look small in comparison if dumped on the world market.

The USA debacle in Iraq has created this, and China appears ready to take advantage of the situation to further their goals.....

This is my anaylasis of the situation.......and probaly most likely.....

For the uneducated who think China wants to invade the US.....think again....It is Taiwan they want........and the US has financed their ability to do so finally due to the Bush/Clinton Crime Family's raping of the US Economy and Iraq........

The only thing worth fighting for is freedom......

If China invades Taiwan......I don't want a war with China........

The Elites who run this country are the ones who allowed this to happen.....

I see freedom dissapear in the USA day by day......

If we need to fight for freedom.....it is in the USA which used to be the basiton of Freedom.....

The USA is becoming a police state....camera's and stasi equivilents everywhere....Nazi tactics like putting fluoride in the water to dumb down the public....we should not be invading other countries to instill democracy.....we need to fight off the political powers who seek to kill the freedom in the USA......which is currently running the US Government.....

I love my country, being a US citizen....but I FEAR the people running the US government.....because they are not Patriots.....they are Globalists with NO conscience......the ONLY way a world government can be acheived is thru peace.....not by FORCE like the nuts running the US government currently think is possible.........

If china is going to attack anyone, its russia. You always attack your neighbors when you want resources. Probably with a lot of muslim help sponspoered by Iran. Chechnyan muslims and what not.
