Thank you for the video! He's very static on it, usually he raises his hands much more (if I remember well). And he doesn't look very healthy, almost dead I would say. I also noticed there is no weapon behind him!
Even if I hate him, I must say that I agree with him with some of what he says. The problem is that he spreads terror wherever he can and then speaks about peace as if he was Mahatma Gandhi!

No, absolutely not. I'm wondering how it will be used by those who dislike him to tarnish his image, how they will use the praise from Bin Laden to negate the valuable contributions he has made. Obviously I didn't make that clear enough.

There is something that bothers me. This afternoon, I read on the internet the American government was sure terrorist attacks were being prepared very soon. So, why don't they arrest the people involved?

Well i presume they know that's going to happen because they are either aware of who is going to do it or plan on doing it themselves to ensure that the lack of true external terrorism is not exposed for all to see. Since they can't arrest themselves it's also easy to understand why they just keep telling us about this terrorism that seems to only happen in reaction to the oppression by foreigners?

I haven't watched the video myself. Dial up is a pain. If that is him and he is still alive why is this video coming out now? It is all too convenient in timing. The U.S. is planning an attack on Iran, Israel apparently incurs on Syrias airspace from the north, the Gaza strip is heating up some more. George is in Australia calling them Austrians. Why are these videos always released close to or on the anniversary of something? If I was doing it, I'd release a video any damn time I wanted. Especially if I was Osama and had something to say. According to Ed Dames, Osama is alive and located. The reason he hasn't been killed or silenced if he isn't an asset is that he has to be captured and presented to the world on trial as was Sadam. If we are at "war" then he has a right to a trial for war crimes just as did the Nazis. If he is captured it would be a tremendous propaganda tool and he probably has a lot of information that someone would like to have if he survives that long and the information is revealed. I was watching 911 happening live and afterwards when Iraq started for the second time I thought to myself, History does indeed repeat itself. We are now involved in our own version of the Crusades. The jihad that started the never stopped. If George causes WWIII, and there are any survivors, he will be more hated than Adolph Hitler. I live in Alberta and if it starts I think China will invade for the water, coal and especially the tar sands. The tar sands will be nuked to remove them as an asset. These are only a few possible scenarios. None of them good. Only to prove the authenticity of the Bible and to cause the outcome of the Book of Revelations. I hope I am not right. Thankyou.

Many "heroes" held in great regard by many, have had just as much if not more blood on their hands as Bin Laden does. The distinction is one of mammalian politics. He is not an evil cartoon character, he is a man. One who has many willing to follow, and to die.

I think if we're ever going to combat a threat such as the one he presents, at some stage we're going to have to get past the binary stage of "you're either with us or against us buddy" and start to recognise the many shades of gray that create our existence.

No one individuals point of view should carry any more weight than another's. It seems to me that only by coming to understand the views of other, will mankind ever live in peace.

Furthermore, there should be nothing treacherous about sharing your viewpoint in a society that is supposed to embrace the concepts of freedom of expression.

No harm has been done by one person sharing their views. Indeed, it seems to me that a lot of people are getting all bent out of shape without understanding exactly what agent violet was trying to say.

I guess the lure of the mob mentality is a strong one, I'd love to be able to say it didn't exist here on ATS where we like to think of ourselves as "above" such things, but let's face it. I'd be dead wrong.

After thinking about it the beard thing for a while........what if bin laden, if that truely is him, is starting to question his religon himself. If you look at some of the stuff he spoke on, does it sound any different than when some of you (and don't tell me i'm the only one cause i know that's bs) started to question your own religion after doing some soul searching and historical reasearching own the origins of your religon?

I have no idea what you are talking about, in fact the opposite is true, he is not questioning his religion, he is questioning everyone elses!

He has warned us and offered us to convert to Islam, the beard is a sign of war. Therefore he has satisfied all the conditions of his religion to attack us. I suggest you read through this thread a little more carefully.

Intrepid, a Muslim is only allowed to dye his beard black if he is going to war. I think several have pointed this out through rulings from Muslim Clerics. I know it is a big thread, but I have read about every post in this thread. In addition, I find no other valid reason for the dying of the beard and I don't think he is questioning his religion!

convert is more definate than embrace..............look at the 5th definition of embrace...............................this is the what i got from my original reading. No research needed, just basic knowledge of words and definitions

I believe that Osama bin laden's speech has been written by Azzam the American hence Adam Gadahn.

Which is all well and good if you believe, appropriate word btw, what you are LED to believe. Some are speculating differently.
