Did you read the message of OBL?...

What part are you referring too? I’m on the perspective that he needs to die and to fight his beliefs at all cost. Is there a part of his message that might change my mind?

Just read OBL's message! don't let the media control you!

I haven't watched the medias take on this, I would say we all should have a big dose of healthy skeptisim, I don't trust the media or Osama, or who ever that is.

Maybe you read another one???
In his statement he says that people have to embrace Islam...
And all I hear in many posts is that oooowiii... he wants to kill all non Muslims...
Maybe our opinions differ on the verb 'embrace'.
And then we have to go back to school...

So we should take him at his word? Should we do that for others as well? Many Democrats promised to get the troops out of Iraq if they were elected. Many took them at their word. Was that a good decision? George Bush told us that there were WMDs in Iraq. Many took him at his word? How did that work out for us?

You must look deeper my friend. You can't accept what OBL said...especially when it so clearly is in conflict with his history.

Yes it is all about perspective, and i believe you have taken the wrong perspective in regards to what she's trying to say.
Nowhere does she say she would enjoy living a muslim life, or condones anything he has done.
So I think it is rather extreme to believe she wants or would like any of that, simply because she admires a few of his qualities.

Admiring qualities is different to admiring someones beliefs.

Well then it is safe to say OBL is a mass murder and an extreme violator of human rights. I guess you can see qualities even in Charles Manson, but that doesn’t change who he is, and OBL lacks a hell of a lot more than he can be admired for. I guess she needs to find a different way to say it.

admire ( d-m r )
v. admired, admiring, admires
v.tr.
1. To regard with pleasure, wonder, and approval.
2. To have a high opinion of; esteem or respect.

Do you know a part of their Islam law is they must first give you a chance to embrace Islam before they kill you? So what did he say if all america doesn't embrace Islam?

Do you have any doubt that if he could cause mass deaths in America he would at a moment’s notice? If you do not think he wouldn't then you do not know him or his culture. He will not hesitate to kill other muslins that are not as strict as he is, so us Americans are a no brainer for him.

Our evangelist christian leaders have the same mind set here! Just (obviously) from the christian/israel side of the coin. No difference!

The problem here is religion. It truly is evil!

Sam Harris is the man!

“The president of the United States has claimed, on more than one occasion, to be in dialogue with God. If he said that he was talking to God through his hairdryer, this would precipitate a national emergency. I fail to see how the addition of a hairdryer makes the claim more ridiculous or offensive.”

“According to the most common interpretation of biblical prophecy, Jesus will return only after things have gone horribly awry. Imagine the consequences if any significant component of the U.S. government believed that the world was about to end and that its ending would be glorious. The fact that nearly half of the American population apparently believes this should be considered a moral and intellectual emergency.”

Excuse me Mel but have you seen the TEXT SOURCE???
I'll help you... it's fox news...
Riddle me this

the knightfook

Hey Knightfook, stay on topic. I know what Fox News is and they had the most convenient source. Other members are not the topic!

I happen to believe we are going to be attacked just by the mounting evidence and trying to compare it the last time we were attacked. The news media is going to play it up as they always do and then they will forget about it the next day until the event happens. Perhaps you should watch the movie "Tora, Tora, Tora" about the events leading up to Pearl Harbor. I am just trying to look over the horizon, I like to know what coming down the line, if you know what I mean!

I agree. It's great to know there are benevolent individuals looking out for the peace and well being on Earth. Sanctimony! I'm sure he dreams of a day when you're head to foot in garb and free of ALL THE PERILS OF THE EARTH
BTW Would you like to be one of my many wives? We men are superior. Will you be loyal to me

Well, I just read the transcript and with a few historical mistakes pertaining to Viet Nam a lot of what he said made sense. It IS the "corporations" that are running things and need to be fed. Converting to Islam though? Pipedream. Taking America back from the military industrial complex would be a start though. Now, how do you THAT?

Can you guys believe this crap from Obama Bin Laden?
He calls the American people STUPID for re-electing Bush
for a second term, but Bush wouldn't be in a second term
if he (OBL) had not appeared in a tape 2 weeks before the
election in 2004 urging the public not to re-elect Bush.

Osama is really quite naive politically. Doesn't he know
that every time he speaks, Americans rally closer together
and unite more BEHIND their leaders, instead of against
them? I guess he's so used to giving orders that his
common sense is non-existant.

I sure hope that Bush jr. can get OBL killed before leaving
office. We know where the SOB is... he's in Pakistan hiding
with the billy goats. If the President of Pakistan doesn't allow
the USA to go get Osama, we sever ties with Pakistan and
add them to the ranks of Iran, Syria, etc.. As Bush said
to a standing ovation during the 2002 State of The Union speech,
"Either you're with us...or you're against us!".

These terrorists are trying harder than ever to hurt America and
Americans wherever they may live. Even though they're not
going about it in a smart way, eventually, one of them will achieve
success again. We need to let the terrorism world know loud and
clear that if they hit our people, we will respond by destroying the
only things that they love.. their relatives. The more Americans
that are killed, the deeper into the geneologies we will go. Do
you think Osama would be willing to sacrifice his relatives (and he
has quite a few!)? I don't. We must let him know that they die if
we are hit by Al-Quaeda. End of story.

Just found this intresting snippet

According to Azzam Tamimi, head of the London-based Institute of Islamic Political Thought, the beard dye is a “sign of war.”

The rigorous Salafi Islamic school to which bin Laden belongs “condones this dye only in preparation for war,” he said.

This news report also suggest that

The latest video “contains phrases ... which serve as indicators that OBL's message is part of Al-Qaeda's efforts to fulfill its requirements to provide warning and a chance for the enemy to change its ways before executing an attack,” Venzke said.

Is the media just reading too far into this latest video. For our sake, lets hope so

Found this link from the AFP in France with some analysis from terrorist experts, that indicate this was a final warning similar to the warning given before the London Bombings.

"if we were smart"
A smart american now there is a thought, if you were smart you wouldnt have a beady eyed crook running your country and ruining everyone elses country at the same time, would appear that the coterie of crooks that surrounded him are getting legs and running like rats on a sinking ship. If anyone is going to nuke anyone it will probably be george, what better way to be remembered than as the 2nd man to nuke some one , the 1st was also an american patriot!!!!.
