I would highly suggest reading/re-reading the link in the post just above yours.

A few points that contributors to this thread, or any other for that matter, should take note of:

If you care enough about the ideas want to to communicate, then it's reasonable to expect a minimal effort in formatting readable ideas.

If you respect your fellow members and our guest readers, then please make the effort to avoid the shorthand.

I'd rather not have to make this an official policy, but if we don't see an improvement, we will create a warning category similar to the large-quote and one-liner warnings.

While there isn't currently a warning system for "txt speak"; it's a matter of common respect. However, there is a warning system for large-quotes, and one-liners. All of which have been running rampant here.

The Mods here work hard enough as it is. The least we can do is to make their jobs a bit easier by keeping our posts thought out & readable, and by trimming down our use of quotations to the "bare minimum" needed. If you're replying to a specific sentance, or idea; quoting an entire post is usually quite unnecessary.

First post in this thread and a very interesting one it is. Hoax probable as it is easy to hide behind a computer screen and make exrodinary claims. Anyways if it is true.....

I think the reason they may be doing this so early is to use it as an excuse to get out of Iraq. Also an event like this(flase flag carried out properly with an other world threat) would surely unify most of the world even perhaps the muslim world.

To touch another statement the op said about the visitors being scientists passing bye. I would like to believe that but with all the different races supposable visiting the odds that they are all just scientists is slim. I assume they are interested in other things than just pure science, what who knows maybe we are a big tv program for other worlds. Just my thoughts. Peace

Not to be the bearer of bad news, but contact already happened...Just not on a widespread scale.

There are humans who have been contacted and who are continuing the "contact" if you will (I wouldn't quite describe it that way, its not like we're communicating with whales here).

These beings are far more advanced spiritually (most of them anyway) and technically (all of them for sure). We will not stand a chance against them militarily. To fight them is to damn us all. We will surely fail.

To make my point clearer: The government fears these as all ignorant people fear what they do not understand. They have been observing us for a long time now. They are not to interfere unless something drastic happens on Earth (aka Bush declaring martial law, starting a few wars in the M.E., that sort of thing).

We have always been in contact on some level, whether it be subconsciously or consciously. "They" (our space brothers and sisters) have always been here. It is only now we are coming to the concensus as a society that we are not to be afraid.

More and more people are waking up to the fact that our government (nor religion) holds all of the answers. Many are looking inside themselves and elsewhere for answers.

We have trusted our governments for so long. Now is the time to make them trust us.

The US government is freaking out. Many are jumping ship. The ship has been sinking for quite a long time. One more push and it will capsize. I honestly can't wait for that day.

I just went and read each of his posts from yesterday and today. Due
to his calm and measured replies, I'm really starting to believe that HE

invasion is being planned and we're just the subjects of his thesis. Time
will tell.

In fact, we won't have to wait until August to know more because

Federal and State level are being briefed and readied right now for the
operation. If this is the case, you can be certain that more information
will be arriving in the public domain from both intentional leakers and
accidental leaks. Humans in general cannot keep secrets. Especially
something this profound. If we do regular searches of Google News,
(or whatever) on the term "False Flag", we'll see stories appearing
from various parts of the country...assuming that briefing of officials
nationwide is indeed occuring. If leaks start coming out, this will
indeed be a Summer full of unprecedented emotions and reactions
by the general population. And we think gasoline is high now because
of threats in the MiddleEast? I don't like feeling like I've been suckered,
but in this case, I hope to look in the mirror this September and see
a big lollypop looking back at me!

It's not that simple though. The F-series jets are useless, as soon as they run out of fuel. Sure, while they're in the air, they're fine. What happens once they have shot all of their missiles and emptied their cannon-rounds? What's the fuel tank on a battle tank and how far can it travel? With the logistical support, those hardware pieces eventually grind to a halt.

It's not the actual hardware, it's the support mechanisms that keep the hardware going, which are important.

A single UFO without any support, would probably only cause limited damage. Any hostile ET presence would need the full support of intact supply lines to maintain their hardware.

Anyway, I doubt ET is hostile. If he is, then he would have already cleansed us when we were throwing spears. Bring on the false flag and expose the liars in the government and military.

Here's a thought - the military is made up of humans. Would they obey orders to attack their own people, families, etc? Many people proudly beat their chest and declare that they will 'fight for their country'. How many would be as proud to 'fight against their own country'?

There's two possibilities. One, GR is writing lies and embellishing them with each reply. Two, he's telling the truth. Either way, why the hostility? If you can't put the pieces together and have written him off as another hoaxer, exit the thread and go prove some more 9/11 theories.

Ghost Rider has been nothing but revealing and polite. A hoaxer all too often tries too hard to convince others of their so called truths. SonOfMan is an excellent example of this. I believe Ghost Rider simply because his posts have a genuine ring to them. The proper grammar, spelling, sentence structure, and lack of internet lingo carry a ton of credibility weight in this age of moronic posters. I will submit however that such characteristics would also be part of a disinformation agent. Only time will tell. And if that's all we ATS readers have to sacrafice, time, then what's the harm?

Hmmm, let me get this straight. Come August there’s going to be an outbreak of swamp-gas, mass hallucinations and natural but unexplainable atmospheric phenomena, which is designed to scare us into fighting a new enemy. I mean, seeing the govt has over the last 60 years convinced people that UFOs aren’t real, why would they use little green men to unite us for the NWO, when there’s plenty mileage left in the global war on everything, err I mean terrorism?

Respectfully, I must say that I do not believe that this False Flag operation will occur, in August or any other time. The situation that you described sounds exactly like an episode of the x-files. I do believe in ufos - I saw one myself during my time as a naval aviator. I work for the government as well, and having knowledge of such military operations means that you have a clearance well above top secret. This means that you know that divulging such information if true, puts you at great risk.
I work in the computer security field, and can tell you that your identity is not completely anonymous on this site. If the government wanted to find out who you were, they could do it in about half a day. In fact, if what you say is true, you have already broken the law and you are in serious trouble. People given such responsibility with such sensitive information rarely divulge it in an open forum, knowing the consequences.
I would like to keep an open mind concerning these issues, but I would like to see any kind of verifiable evidence. Extraoridinary claims require extraoridinary evidence. And before you think that I am just some porfessional debunker, I will state again that I believe that ET is out there, and that the government has knowledge of this and is hiding the face, but they are not dumb enough to think that we can militarily defeat an "enemy" that could be millions of years more technically advanced than we are. We can't even beat a bunch of disorganized insurgents in Iraq with the full weight of our military and billions of dollars spent.
By the way, I believe that the main reason that the government keeps ufos a secret is that it would be terrible for the stock market, economy etc.

I have a few points to make, apologies if these matters have already been mentioned in the thread, I have not had time to read through every post as new ones are popping up almost too frequently.

ATS' forum must have the most active UFO section on the web. If someone was going to pull a prank, they would most likely do it here. Hoaxers are bound to get more attention here than anywhere else. As you can see this thread is already pretty big.

We need to be careful not to throw the baby out with the bath water. Many of the so-called disclosure threads are nothing more than hoaxes, but one day someone who really is in-the-know may attempt to share their knowledge with ATS' community. Would we refuse to believe them simply because we had 'heard it all before'? Once bitten... twice shy, if you like.

The best way to discredit something is to mix it with combination of fact and fiction - that way no one can distinguish between the facts and the fiction.
Think about the layers of an onion (yes, I have read "Above Black"), the truth could be seen as the core of the onion, we can't see it but if it's any normal onion we know it's there. We're too busy looking at all the other layers, why? Because they're the only ones which we can see.
Basically part of the story may be fiction; the other part may be fact. The question is would we realise a portion of it was fact, or would take the easier option of trashing the story as a whole? Remember what I said, do not throw out the baby with the bath water.

I notice a lot of people in this thread seem to be thinking about only two possibilities: it's either fact or it's fiction. That's fair enough but the answer may be more complicated. We need to look at the bigger picture.

Are the other disclosure threads there to discredit GhostRaven's story in particular?
Perhaps this thread is intended to discredit a real disclosure thread which may be making an appearance here in the future?

One thing that really surprises me is that the Moderators have not said or done anything about this thread. Where are they?
