Obviously you don't or you wouldn't be vomiting out the crap that you are here on this thread.

.... did America deserve 911? Sure it did ...

That 3 year old child and her family on the way to Disney World for the first time didn't deserve to die like that. Those unborn children in the WTC ... 12 that we know of .. didn't deserve to die like that. Those pregnant women, those about to be married, those who served their country in MANY ways, those fire fighters, those ambulance drivers, the Catholic Priest praying with the dead (official victim number 0001), the dads, the moms, the sons, the daughters, the children, the elderly, the families - NONE of them deserved to die like that.

So to say that American society deserved 9/11 is more than just pathetically misguided -it's a dangerous misrepresentation of what America is all about. I

You are correct but you are being MUCH kinder to the idiots that say America deserved 9/11, than I would be.

I wish we still had WATs votes. You'd have mine for sure.

medicine . we got something that we've done 100 times . just in a slightly different way . we use government terrorism to blow up other countries .
and we need to learn how bad it hurts to have it done so maybe we will think twice before we do it again . just m2c .

America is a military republic much like anchient Rome. We expand our republics influence by extending our military might into foriegn lands. The economy is entirly run by this modern day roman republic to support constant warfare upon the peoples of the world. The shadow government calls the shots and the visible government does it's bidding.

Actually, this is pretty wrong. While the country gets involved with the affairs of other countries too often, it's rare that America has held onto these things as territorial conquests.

The american capitalist system actually encourages the financial elite to prey upon thier weaker fellow human beings by taking advantage of thier labor and time. When the people no longer wish to play the game as dictated by the elites (as we see now) phony wars are made up to send the poor and middle-class to fight.

Eh, not really. Capitalism does let the privileged (I say privileged and not rich) take advantage of those who are less so, to a degree. But the beauty of capitalism is that it makes it much harder to do so than in, say, a socialist, communist, or feudal country.

This is what 9/11 was all about. 9/11 was a false flag operation contrived by the American elites to maintain control over the population. The event allowed them to move us, closer to thier goal of a constant state of warfare upon the worlds population allowing them to profit from the blood sacrifice of the poor and middle-class (the infierior preditors).

Moronic conclusion. You made a it based on too little information. There's no one who knows for sure that anyone was or wasn't behind the 9/11 attacks.

And it's very annoying when people say "the elites." That's as nonsensical as saying "powerful people."

More like thousands of times.

If "we" do something to others, do we not deserve it too?

Does anyone actually want me to start listing examples that exceed hundreds of thousands each?? The US .gov is responsible for multiple genocides before and after WW2, and this isn't even talking the overt wars we're all full aware of.

American society deserved it because it created it.
the story of the child makes me cry as much as the 1year old slaughtered in Iraq or should I cry a little more because he is from the US?
Why don't you mention the suffering the US as inflicted to other countries for a self inflicted wound.
You (as american society) created 911.
Whoever is blind created 911.
Whoever is silent created 911.
Whoever accepted it created 911.
The flag created 911.
The injected patriotism created 911.
Your SUV created 911.
Your confortable life created 911.

No one has done anything to prevent it.
We watched it and we are all guilty of 911.
Yes we needed it because the blind needed to see the light.
You fight against me while I am not your enemy.
Your enemy laugh and controls your emotions.
You write has they want you to write, you think as they want you to think.
You live as they want you to live.
Now if I inflict a wound to myself what should I say...
Well that you derseve it because you hurt yourself in purpose.
So Yes American society created 911 so American society deserved it.
Now its to easy to come here and cry about it.
What have you done for it before....?

The You part refers to society in general.

Well said Flyersfan,no one deserves to die the way it happened on 9/11.No warning, thousands of innocent everyday folks gone.Anyone who says "those who died on 9/11 deservred it," has serious issues.

You guys are all misinterpreting what piacenza is saying...

He is not saying that the people that died deserved to die.

He is saying that the progression that led up to the events of 911 was caused by the lack of actions on the part of the people who let them selves become slaves of the corporate entities.

People did not deserve to die on 911, the ones who did the inside job are the ones who deserved to be in the buildings.

Many Americans today are acting like Mr. Magoo, going through life with their eyes closed. They think that taking away our freedoms is a good thing and they think America can do no wrong. They actively refuse to see the truth of what's happened to America. Corporations have hijacked the govt and in many cases, have ruined people's lives (remember Enron, WorldCom, et al, who bilked people out of their retirement savings and investments?)
I'm an American and I love my country and what it is supposed to stand for. Unfortunately, the neocons and the corporations have hijacked us, our govt has been and continues to lie to us and Americans have become so passive, they don't care about what's happening to our country. They blindly believe the media and the govt, without ever bothering to think through what they are being told.
I think we need to teach critical thinking in schools in America.

Distorted Morality by Noam Chomsky

Learn about being hypocrites, or how not to be. His speech isn't 911 specific, but it's in total context with this thread.

For those of us who don't have high speed, can you please tell us what your video is about?

Thanks.

Yeah, sorry.

Chomsky addresses the concept of terrorism, and hypocrisy.

He provides a guideline, related to his speech and argument style used, which is to take assumptions like government / official statements as literal.

He provides two main thesis:
1: That the US is total hypocrites, in regards to state sponsered international terrorism, especially intellectuals and others who know enough about US foreign policy and covert / overt actions.
2: That it's so glaring that "we're" international terrorists that you have to bend over backwards to not notice; that he shouldn't even be there giving the speech because it goes without saying.

In either case, "we" need to stop talking about things like human rights, and so on, because we're the world's premier international state sponser of terrorists.

Since we're to take official words as gospel, he takes a 1984 definition of terrorism from a US Army manual, and then applies that definition to US international actions starting in 1984 for argument quality. He then touches on numerous other examples and also talks about terrorist regimes "we've" supported like South Africa and Isreal, who according to US definitions were engaging in terrorism.

BS, I was born and lived in Cuba and still have family there...

There is a lot more freedom of speech, and freedom in general in the U.S. than there would ever be in any communist country, including Cuba under a Communist dictatorship...

If newspapers and tv stations were to say about castro the same things that are said about president Bush those people would immediately be put in prison and forever forgotten and the newspapers and tv stations would close down...

This is nothing more than propaganda and lies from another "anti-American" European....
