I wonder if anyone has ever heard of Cam'ron.
I guess we have now.

Essentially what it is they are stereotyping all cops as being bad with their music which we all know is not the case..

OK, we've determined that shots doesn't like rap, no one likes Bellefonte, I think he has a helluva voice though, but why don't we take IC's advice here. The topic?

Can we please discuss why he does not trust the police? I feel like we are seriously sidestepping the issue. Attacking rap and rappers when thats not the point. Why is it that sooo many rappers/regular people dont trust the police enoughto help them?
If someone wants to continue this line of thought, the Music forum in BTS or Social Issues on AP would be better imo.

OK, this will probably be my longest post ever.

As for this case, I'm sure Cam'ron was just bad at being interviewed, and is likely not the most intelligent person anyway. However, he's not necessarily wrong.
Serial killers are typically methodical, and unless he's going for the publicity of it, he's careful in what he does. Meaning, the bodies aren't likely to be hanging around the house, and unless forensic examiners are going to be called in on Cam'ron's hot tip (which I doubt), they will likely find nothing doing a quick search of the house.
Now what? Well, they walk next door to the guy who just wasted their time. Again, this is likely the ghetto, and as I said before, the police aren't very nice in the ghetto. That means that either Cam'ron would be arrested for making a false 911 call, or he's beaten to a pulp by some ticked off cop, or both.
In general, it's not a wise idea to call the police if you're a black man in the ghetto.

I'll say again,
Calling the police and saying "I think a serial killer lives next door" most likely won't do anything.

All rap prefrences aside, what he said is a crappy thing for ANYBODY to say. Because if it was true and nothing was told to police it puts innocent lives at risk. And that is more important than money or "street cred". It's sad when people get looked down upon for doing the right thing.

I think the Police deserve help when they need it because they are putting their lives on the line to help keep people safe.
If you don't want to help them I don't think you should call them when the person is threatening you.

You have voted ImpliedChaos for the Way Above Top Secret award. You have one more vote left for this month.

Screw the police.
I'd only call them to clean up whoever was threatening me. I got heat for people like that.

You laid it down, bruh. Nuff said.

Im thinking that our chum Cam'ron, being a rapper, has probably been up to a bit of serial killing himself. Bit of money laundering on the side...perhaps a spot of GBH around christmas time?
I'd only call them to clean up whoever was threatening me. I got heat for people like that. All of us don't have the luxury of cops racing to our residence in 5 minutes if we call them...

I wonder if guys like this think society would be better off and "cool" if there were no police officers at all, instead just roving gangs of street-cred thugs gang-banging it up with AK's?
Well it's called Somalia.
I'd like to see dudes like this spend a week or two in that environment. They'd be crying and pleading to catch the next plane, bus or boat back to America's patrolled streets.
