OK, this will probably be my longest post ever.

I see this as a race issue but NOT a race issue. Cam didn't say he wouldn't aid a white cop, he said "cops". It would be ignorant to think that all cops are white. They aren't. There are many black cops, asian decent cops, damn, as many races we have you have cops of that race. The problem here is that you don't want to snitch. I see that all the time at work and not just with the inmates. I know where this is coming from. So what's the problem with the cops? They are the strong arm of the man. And that "man" is as colourless or as colourful as one could imagine. They don't care about you and me. They only care that they keep going to the bank and have the POWER that they crave.

This topic is predominantly about urban areas. Control by them is their goal, not needed so much in suburban and rural areas. There's enough cops there to get them what they want. So what do you do in urban areas to maintain control? Cause instability. Have gangs claw against each other. Throw in some racial tensions. Now you've got everyone at each other and not questioning why there isn't the infrastructure that is needed in your neighborhood.

OK, what else can we do to further this agenda? Promote a "gangsta" attitude, let the kids learn OUR rules early. If it isn't what we want to promote to keep control? Screw it, you don't make squat. In fact, we might squash you, if you have a message that we don't want out there. You play ball, you make your cash and we're all happy that that animosity continues so that WE aren't asked the questions that we DON'T want asked.

Unless you are a phsycopath(sp) hate is a learned emotion in the human race imo. If it's learned then someone must be teaching it. Who? The powers that be, ie: the man. Why? To control us all. If we all got together they'd be screwed. We would be asking the question of them that they don't want asked. So in come the cops, their strong arm. Supposedly the ones that are there to "serve and protect". Is it a surprise that songs come out like BC's Cop Killer?

Isn't it funny that we're discussing the cops here? Why isn't it the PTB? They are the ones in control, not the cops. They don't want to, it works in their favour. ONCE AGAIN- The question is, can we get past this and work together? If we can they're screwed.

Im thinking that our chum Cam'ron, being a rapper, has probably been up to a bit of serial killing himself. Bit of money laundering on the side...perhaps a spot of GBH around christmas time?

All rap prefrences aside, what he said is a crappy thing for ANYBODY to say. Because if it was true and nothing was told to police it puts innocent lives at risk. And that is more important than money or "street cred". It's sad when people get looked down upon for doing the right thing.

Calling the police and saying "I think a serial killer lives next door" most likely won't do anything.

Serial killers are typically methodical, and unless he's going for the publicity of it, he's careful in what he does. Now what? Well, they walk next door to the guy who just wasted their time. Again, this is likely the ghetto, and as I said before, the police aren't very nice in the ghetto. That means that either Cam'ron would be arrested for making a false 911 call, or he's beaten to a pulp by some ticked off cop, or both.

In general, it's not a wise idea to call the police if you're a black man in the ghetto.

How can you make a claim like that? You have no idea what information the caller would be reporting neither to I. Police publish/release information pertaining to serials killers and when they do what they are asking for is any possible information that may lead to the capture of that one individual.

For example they might ask have you seen a man fitting this description> The caller looks at perhaps a sketch and or computer mock up of what they think the individual looks like. Caller calls in and says hey I think I saw that man at Kelly's Bar, presto next day the police arrest him at Kelly's bar.

Me thinks you have never watched Americas Most wanted have you? That is a prime example of catching killers when police are looking for someone.. They release the info on the show caller's call in and presto police make an arrest.

I do not know if this is true or not but my wife claims she has heard they catch something around one wanted individual each show. If what she says is correct your theory it will not work is all wet isn't it?

OPS I forgot to mention how many criminals the police catch by posting CCD videos of crimes. Not exactly related but you can see that police surveillance and gathering information does capture the bad guys. For some group to try and deter the reporting of those crimes can only mean that the individuals sending out that bad information about police is a wrong thing to do.

Like I said before, all of us are NOT going to be little snitches for the man. Just because Cam'ron or I wouldn't help the pigs catch a serial killer, so what? They have more than enough resources to catch criminals. They're just too lazy to do most of the work and want to get tips and people to snitch all the time.

I think the Police deserve help when they need it because they are putting their lives on the line to help keep people safe.

If you don't want to help them I don't think you should call them when the person is threatening you.

Heres the thing serial killers is a bad example simple b/c a) there victims tend to be young white females which adds to the publics concern about the case b) Most are high profile. So of course the police uNder that pressure will do whatever it takes to catch them But here's the point why help catch a serial when police consistently disregard cases of of missing/murdered african americans/latinos (minorties in general)? Its like I help them but when i need help they may or may not be there (And if they do help its not at the the same level as they would help someone else). There have been countless incidences where young white females go missing next day the fbi is searching..but when you black females go missing the police waste time and do not expend the same sort of resources or care. For example A sophomore at the University of Wisconsin-Madison went missing her pic was all over th enews for daysFBI was searching and everything.Turns out she faked it. She wast really kidnapped But when a honor roll teenager was missing in baltomore. It took police weeks to put up an active search. Gang members were even trying to help the family. (She was found dead in trash bags placed near her house days after she went missing. If police actually searched they would have found her maybe alive or her killer) (Her family was on CourtTv where Nancy Grace admitted that if she had not have been black there would have been a better search effort and more media attention). I dont mean to make this a race issue but there is a reason why there is a overwhelming amount of mistrust with cops in the black community than there is in the white. Why help the police if god forbid my mom goes missing and they either wont help or provide minimal effort?

Screw the police.

I'd only call them to clean up whoever was threatening me. I got heat for people like that. All of us don't have the luxury of cops racing to our residence in 5 minutes if we call them...

I'd just like to say that he could say what he wants. Its just a statement. Its not a statement of fact unless he was actually asked to do it and refused to do it. He may say one thing and do something completely different in reality. You don't know, nobody knows unless it actually happens. To say and to do are 2 totally different things at times.

Actors & actresses won't even risk themselves in a scene they have to have stunt doubles do it for them , so why should this singer be held to a higher standard that he should risk his life against a serial killer in real life?

Fine Ill go kill his entire family and live right next to him. I will cook his family remove thier skin and eat them like chicken. I will then toss the bones over the fence....mmmm im getting hungry. Yea you call when you need them then you criticise them for saving your lame #. I wouldnt do anything that would put my family in harms way, but if I didnt have anyone around me that needed me I would definitely report illegal activities, i certainlty dont want a dirty neighborhood.
