There is an ATS chat, check the toolbar, three buttons in from the right.

You need 200+ posts to get access.

not like this chat , paltalk has rooms that are voice chat and you can have private rooms or advertise special chat rooms,

your chat room title would be above top secret with special guests, people have mics and raise their hand icons, and take turns live, speaking with the special guests.

I don't know how to explain it.

Personally, being an avid musician, I would love to see some sort of forum for A/B/PTS'rs to post mp3's of their own creations. I think there would be a great interest shown by all of the members that share the same passion for music that I do.

This could be solved by having memebers post in the podcast forum, but that detracts from the main message of the music.

If you ever consider creating a forum for this, I would be more than willing to help moderate/police the area and share the joy of music with my fellow ATS'rs.

Thanks

A better way to interact with the threads. Bring ATS into the web 2.0 world, I feel it's only 1/2 way. I hate the text formatting controls, make them like wordpress

Make it cooler.

Thanks

Topics started recently by friends (or foes maybe) on my profile page? What else is the friend and foe system for if you can not easely keep an eye on them

How about:

SETM - Secret Even To Me

(because I have no idea what I am talking about...wait... I hear the men in white jackets coming to get me...because I am CRAZY!)

Honestly we need some sort of subjective measurement for content.

"Friend" "Foe" "Fool"

Haha... I love the fool thing. We do indeed seem to attract some people who really are... lol.

Another suggestion for the ATS staff, I read a thread in which Leibolmai gave the idea for a checklist for sightings. It would look like this.

Standard Information
Checklist

1. Date:

2. Approximate Local Time:

3. Length of Time Observed:

4. Number of Witnesses:

5. Location:

6. Description of Incident:

7. Sound: (that the object made)

8. Camera Used: (most people readily know and are happy to boast)

9. Video Used: (same as camera)

10. Program/software used to Upload video/picture: (might help verify the trail of programs that could be involved in pixilation, compressing, and otherwise giving the video an edited feel)

An Example:

Standard Information
Checklist

1. Date: 12-8-07

2. Approximate Local Time: 845pm EST

3. Length of Time Observed: 45 seconds

4. Number of Witnesses: 1

5. Location: Springfield, MA

6. Description of Incident: daylight orb, followed from NE to south SW trajectory

7. Sound: None

8. Camera Used: NA

9. Video Used: Sony HDR FX-1E Video Camera

10. Program/software used to upload video/picture: Windows Movie Maker 2.0

I really think this is a very good idea and I want to suggest using it in a submit sighting part of the site (similair to the submit news part).

Thanks Juliet, I would reply to the u2u but I'm still under 20 posts :-)

There are many different checklists out there. I would encourage ATS staff to pursue some from MUFON, NUFORC, and even Blue Blook for example (goverment is great at standard forms). Its always good to know what's worked before and what hasn't:

NUFORC

MUFON

Project Blue Book Archive

These links are common knowledge, but I repeated them here for clarity and for those not in the know.

Cheers,

Leibolmai

I would like to see some effort to verify people are who they claim they are and have actual access to items that they discuss.

It is very discouraging to have to read blatantly incorrect posts, or those that show a true lack of vision.

I am thinking we need some kind of verification process before we let people claim certain titles, or make certain kinds of claims.

In my opinion, there is not enough fact checking going on around here.

I really like this as a way of rewarding coherent thoughts on ATS! The crack-pot posts can be annoying (although entertaining), particularly if you are looking for a serious discussion or debate. Plus - who would turn down more points?

Dunno if this has been mentioned or not, but I for one would like to see an edit button on the forum post. I opened a forum called "Challenge for non-believers of Christianity," didn't think to proof-read it. Then posted it, and boy have I been drug through the trenches. It makes no difference how many apologies I make. Some people just read the opening post, state their opinion and take-off! Could we look into this, Please?? This post truly has offended a lot of people. I would like to change the wording! Better yet, I would like to close it. It's become quite stale with the same old, same old. it's become very pointless. But I still think an edit button would be a good idea, so that these probs can get eliminated in the future.

I recently came across a previous suggestion courtesy of Dae for a new forum:

Cults, Mind Control and Memetics

Seeing as how this is my primary field of interest and my threads quickly get lost and overlooked in the other forums (and honestly, don't really seem apporopriate there) I would LOVE to see this suggestion implimented!

It was searching for these subjects that brought me to ATS to begin with, and I'd really enjoy seeing more people posting their thoughts, observations and information on these areas of interest.

Thanks for your time!

*salutes*

one thing i want changed here is the way videos are posted. with all the diferent video sites out there limiting ATS to google and youtube is a little short sighted.

since many of these site offer an embedding code the board should allow for the code to be used.

and if they are worried about security they can get the server to check the validity of the embed code

Ehm, dunno if this is how it was ment to be put but this is my suggestion:
Suggestion for new folder

Also it would be nice to have following function at the page:
a "back to top" button to avoid the infernal scrolling (that might just sound lazy but it's a small effort that gives more "user-friendliness".

Thank you.

I have listed a few things I consider useful:

1) I would like to see the anonymous posts categorized like the ATS homepage so I can find topics more easily.

2) A search engine to find replies posted by name.

3) A dictionary with the terminology and or acronyms used by some posters.

I would like the opportunity to be able to completely delete my old 'threads' that either I messed up or I just dont want to be associated with anymore for one reason or another
I mean we all make mistakes and looking back at them isnt very nice and its all a waste of space.

Oh and another thing, I would like to be able to delete my account if I wanted to. For at the moment we are not allowed. And then when and if we make a new profile and name, this just leaves abandoned profiles on the ATS site, wasting yet more space.

Peace

OBE NDE board? isnt the same as dreams, and I know its ''paranormal''...but it would be good to see them on their own board, if there are enough of them.

I would like to see a forum dedicated to food and agriculture. There is enough conspiracy and wrong doing in and around our food supplies to warrant it's own forum, imo.
