Right you are. Heroes doesn't frustrate fans so much that they make hate sites for it

:shk:

i haven't seen a 'lost' hate site...

and, if fans of 'heroes' aren't pissed yet, just wait until future seasons

i have stated before that i couldn't see this show go on for more than one or two season (just because of the fact that saving the world might get old, like '24')...

i want to be an optimist, but it is so hard...

Did anyone catch the similarities to The Watchmen?

Anyway, I liked Sylar's painting better than Isaac's. More interesting to say the least. I'd love to see what he paints next though.

Wow, what a great way to lead us into the end of the season. Looks like next episode will take place in the future.

Ras I didn't catch the parallels to The Watchmen. What did you notice?

Just the one item. The planned destruction of an entire city to unite the world...

However, that could be said about almost any comic book, or disaster movie.

Actually Ras I took that as a parallel to popular conspiracy theory.
Think about it.
NYC blowing up = 9/11
Nathan = Bush
Linderman = Illuminati
Aftermath/goal = NWO

We need more ATSers watching this show I think

I remembering watching and thinking, he stole his gift but not his talent.

Ok who thinks the battle between Peter and Sylar was a little short? Come one they should have at least destroyed the place for a little bit before the old oh's he's dead with a shot to the brain. I knew when I saw it that Peter wasn't dead. I was really hoping they weren't going to pull a lost and bury someone who was alive.

I need a good one on one battle in the streets. Every comic has it at least once. The best Hero's has had was the 3 second battle of P and Sy, and the Claire rehealing herself to knock out the pyro.

Any one notice the similarities here. X-Men Last stand. Professor X vs. Pheonix equals Peter vs Sylar. Pheonix vs. Wolverine at the end equals Claire vs. Pyro.

I know its a time when Children are watching but I need a little gratuitus violence. I knew from the beginning that they were going to drag every thing out and it wasn't going to be like a movie but come one.

Short, yes. But what little they gave us was awesome. I'm sure there will be a rematch in the two hour season finally. As a two our episode it can afford to give us a ten minute clash of the titans.

I don't know what time Heroes airs where you live but it comes on at 10pm here. Also they have no problem with graphic imagery, remember Claire's autopsy?

That was a fantastic episode! So many strands going on and it doesn't feel like there's any filler going on anymore.

Parkman and Pyro guy (forget his name) are fast becoming my favourite characters, especially as a team. Looks like Hiro and Ando have some competition, but the more the better!

Dude seriously, have you ever read Watchmen? It's rip off time on Heroes but I don't mind so much. They rip off so many comics and movies it's criminal, I've learned to not get annoyed about it and just go along for the ride as there's so many influences it makes it seem kind of fresh again.

Niki/Jessica/Shizo Lady/Not-Really-A-Super-Power really needs to go though. They've wasted so much time on such a lame character/power/mental stability.

As for the fight with Peter and Sylar being too quick I didn't think so really. I saw it more as the teaser round.

What annoyed me more is that the all powerful Sylar would get taken out with a board that he shoud've heard/sensed coming a mile off.

You're right it is not, it actually resolves plots before opening more questions/cans of worms that they have no idea how to answer.

How could I call myself a comics geek and not have read Watchmen.

Creating a disaster to unite humanity isn't an original concept and definantly wasn't created by Alan Moore. He took it from an Outer Limits episode.

I do truly see a closer parallel to 911/NWO conspiracy theory rather than the Watchmen.
The Watchmen had Ozymandias unite humanity by creating a hoax alien invasion killing half of NYC. While the conspiracy theory is that the WTC was attacked to create fear in the leading country of the free world so that people will follow the president and eventually lead to a New World Order.

shouldn't Peter now suffer the noise issue that plagued the woman and Sylar (after he offed her)?

Good episode but some things regarding the timeline are starting to get muddled. Hiro sees the destroyed NYC 5 years in the future yet Linderman is saying it all happens the day after the election and if it is 5 years down the road, that means they've got these characters on the show, presumably for 5 years and the producers have said there will be deaths (unless they meant Isaac).

Also, Isaac said something about leaving a message for the heroes regarding the future and sylar. Anyone want to guess what that might have been?

well....Sylar is the one who blows up in NYC.....my guess is that he will take care of Ted the Radioactive Man and gain his power...which he will not be able to control.......and Issac knew this, made a painting(s) of Sylar going nuclear...and left info for the heroes on how to stop it from happening.......once all is said and done..Sylar will be dead.

did I miss the paintings of Sylar going nuclear or are you suggesting this possibility?

Good point but there is still a lot we don't know about Peter and Syler's powers.

Hiro and Ando are currently five years into the future.
The explosion happens eight weeks in the future (from the time of Episode two)

The answer may be in that comic that Isaac gave to the courier.

yes they are but linderman said the explosion takes place the day after the election (at least that was what I thought he said) and future hiro said something about the explosion taking place 5 years in the future.

The explosion is going to happen soon (eight weeks from episode two). That is the day after Nathan wins the election. Future Hiro is from five years in the future. He never mentions when the explosion happens. He just tells Peter to save the cheerleader.

Which leads to...

It was revealed in the last online graphic novel that Syler was supposed to explode and Hiro tried to stab Syler to stop him. But in that timeline Syler killed Claire and took her healing power making Hiro's attack ineffective.
Since Peter saved Claire, the future should have changed and the explosion shouldn't have happened, but it still did.
So something else has changed in the time line. It could be Ted, Peter or Syler who blows up NYC. It may even be a bomb now. Isaac said in the last episode that he has died a hero because he has shown the others how to kill Syler and stop the "bomb."
