CHINA AND US WILL NOT GO TO WAR ANY TIME SOON, PERIOD.

Why are people so paranoid? During the Cold War American and Soviet forces never even met in a battlefield, NOT ONCE. And now we are not even at a Cold War with China, in fact China has become perhaps one of the largest trading partners of US, and US to China, and people are running around screaming that China will launch missiles at US!!!!! I mean, WTF??

China has no allies; she is hated by every neighbor.

Russia pairs with her only because China has been better at stealing US military technology; thus there's a level of information sharing.

India and China have fought numerous small engagements over territory disputes.

Thailand hates China.

Vietnam hates China but puts up with their business.

China hates Japan but puts up with their business.

Korea hates China and Japan.

North Korea hates everyone.

Etc....

WTF are you smoking man....Thailand and China are in strong agricultural trading relationship. Not to mention S. Korea, it has one of its biggest technological investment into China in the recent years.

And your claims of S. Korea, India, Thailand hatred towards China has no evidence and justification whatsoever. You are just plain BSing when you cant support your statements with valid sources.

On the other hand, I think it is a very safe bet to say USA is hated by more countries in the world than China, don't you think

You seem to confuse trade with partnership or fulfillment. Japan is one of the largest brokers and business partners of China; yet they hate eachother complicitly.

It is US garrisoning of the region that keeps the peace (this is well discussed).

The US trades with Russia; does this mean they are allies?

It's a very safe bet to say that the US is loved by everyone in the world. And as anyone in "charge" or in the "lime light" they receive criticism that only ignorant people take literally. When it comes down to it; everyone wants the US stability from either military bases or investments or culture or all of those things.

At least being under the American thumb there's some semblance of freedom and democracy. The Chinese would be ruthless taskmasters in the same situation, imo. Perhaps we'll get to see one day?

Except S. Korea, Taiwan, Japan and Israel, i seriously do not see any other country wanting American military support. Recent stir ups in Philipines and Thailand, as a matter of fact, is caused by the masses of population wanting American troops OUT of their nations.

China's food situation is much the same as it's steel production situation: there is plenty of both being produced but it is frequently cheaper for coastal cities and regions to import it. Millions of tons are rotting to waste in granaries all over China simply because transporting it over large distances is just not cost effective with the limited freight and road capacity.

The ramblings about them not being able to feed themselves is shear nonsense and i sometimes wonder if any of you lazy bum's do any research whatsoever. It should be a crime to avoid facts as diligently as some here so consistently manage.

First of all, the U.S. is the second most "negatively viewed" nation on the planet. China has more positive views then negative.

This thread has already been debunked, I don't understand what people are still arguing here for. Is the Anti-Chinese hatred so high here? Most of the arguments used here are utterly extremely biased, irrelevant, AND HYPOCRITICAL.

Earth, pubilc opinion in S. Korea and Japan want the US out. In those two nations, public resentment against the U.S. soldiers runs very high. Just wanted you to know

I don't think china is going to attack us. That would be unreasonable from any country's part considering the fact that it would be a new world war.

China is getting stronger by the day as it funds it's own consumer class by artificially cheap exports to the US. This is due to the fact that the Chinese 'government' decide the value of their currency and more importantly that the US apparently does not have the will or the power to install trade barriers to protect itself from this naked aggression. Untill the US finds the guts to stop this practice China will continue to expand it's own consumer class untill a time when it will simply no longer need US dollars to buy US oil/Russian guns with.

China and Russia is at this point basically allied and if anything but a limited war breaks out between CHina/Russia, and allies, and US+ allies i just see no hope for the USA.

If there's no alliance between them,why are theirs diplomatic positions so close since 2000 in all matters?

Several reasons: First most because neither nation wants to go to war with eachother accidentally.

Until recently Russian and Chinese soldiers were at a face-off on their borders.

Secondly because Russia cannot afford her current conventional military and wants to profiteer from it.

Thirdly because China cannot afford her own Military industrial complex and wants to modernize.

And fourthly because both nations want a measure of autonomy from the world market.
