You have eyes yet you see not.
you have ears yet you hear not.

The kingdom of heaven is all about you and inside you. The tao that is spoken of is not the true tao.

Well, you are the typical Christian. Nowhere did I state that I hated Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ was the son of God as we all are. He just opened his heart all the way to the father and tried to pass that on.

Preaching FEAR again my friend? God is LOVE-not FEAR.

actually we must love and fear god

These threads are usually minefields but, OK.
I "follow" many religions. I have no firm belief in any single one of them though. I was brought up Christian (Episcopalian) but left the church 20 years ago or so.
Currently I would side more with Wicca or Druidism mainly beacuse I still see no proof of a real "GOD" per-say.
I took one of those on-line religion surveys a couple years ago and it came up with some Universalist utilitarian something or other to describe my beliefs.

Whatever.

I, now, firmly believe in the abolition of all "organized" religion. Religions have caused more death and destruction throughout history than even greed has.
ENOUGH
You can believe and worhip what you like in private. I have nothing against any belief or people. I DO have a problem with the way "GOD" has been used as a tool to control populations throughout history.
The moment that religious leaders begin talking about "infadels" or "non-believers" I call it Inciting violence.

OK, putting on my Asbestos suit

i would argue that it is not religion but the vainity placed inside people which causes the deaths, when your taught that your religion is the best and only way u want to get rid of those who won't practise it, however religions which respect other people's beliefs have far fewer deaths associated with them, it is mainly the judao religions which do the killing

I am not anti-religion or a non spiritual person but I do find it hard to pigeon hole my beliefs.

Some elements of Christianity, perhaps learning towards a more Quaker perspective. A little Wiccan and a touch of Satanism.

My biggest belief is that faith is not, and should not be a static entity. Every part of us develops and grows throughout our life, our beliefs should too

I am Muslim.

"Say, "We believe in GOD, and in what was sent down to us, and in what was sent down to Abraham, Ismail, Isaac, Jacob, and the Patriarchs; and in what was given to Moses and Jesus, and all the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction among any of them. To Him alone we are submitters." Qur'an, Sura 2, Verse 136

I was raised roman catholic but i do not consier myself one. i do ont like the whole idea of accepting your fathers religion. religion is not something that can be organized. the only thing religion requires, i believe, is faith. not necesarilly faith in "God" or faith in "heaven" but just faith in something. i have come to my own conclusions and i still do come to conclusions about religion every day. my religion does not have a name and i dont want it to. my religion is exactly that, MINE. unique. i have faith in what i believe in and that makes my religion.

Well I find truth in a lot of religions, one more than the other. I will consider myself a Muslim, although I don't only suscribe to Islamic law.

I believe in a lot of things but I try to to sum it up.

I believe that the Black Man was the Original Man and the Chosen man. I believe the Hebrew Israelites were black African people and the Jews of today are not true Hebrew Israelites. I believe in the redemption of Israel in which the true children of Israel will return back to Israel. What is happening today is only the beginning.

I believe in all the prophets. I believe Jesus was a prophet, not the Son of God. I believe in what he said but I don't believe in Christianity. Christianity is a religion that has been tampered with more than any other religion on earth and it cannot be trusted.

I also belief in the full restoration of the Continent, Africa. Africa has been long due. All the atrocities men have done to Africa will come back to them. Africa will arise and be something special like it once was. Everyone will return to Africa and when I say everyone, I mean EVERYONE. America will die off in 50 years.

I believe in the Buddha and his teachings. Only men have damaged what he has said.

I believe in the second coming of Christ as he will proclaim Islam as the one and only true religion.

"I am nothing , i am just one human out on a voyage of self discovery... " states BladeRunner.

You are so close and don't even realize it. You are one human soul on a voyage of self discovery. You were created by the father for such creation and self discovery. You have the holy spirit within you. You are a piece of God as we all are.

Punishment for what? God created us so he may experience. We are all a part of God. Why would God send portions of himself to eternal damnation for doing exactly what he wanted us to do?

Quit listening to the preaching of fear.

As FDR once stated, "There is nothing to fear but fear itself."

Thats your belief. I am Muslim and we believe that God gave us choice and a set of rules. Also God pointed out that our actions have consequences. If you kill somebody you will be punished. If you save a life you will be rewarded. Simple as that.
To me, that makes more sense then your philosophy.

In your belief, what happens with souls of killers, rapists, dictators, mass murderers? what does God do with those souls? And are you sure they are doing exactly what God wants?
Is there a difference in afterlife between those who lived a rightious life and those who willingly destroyed God's creation?

on where you want to be in your "afterlife".

One must remember that the Holy Spirit never dies. God could send you back again as another to try again, and again to understand that he is love.

However, the ones that truly reach the state of consciousness intended are relieved of their "earthbound" duties and live the rest of eternity in bliss.

Yes, God gave us certain rules to follow. However, it is man that punishes the human body. God sends his spirit out to learn more and again until he has arrived at the blissful state of consciousness.

God is love and wants everyone to treat each other that way. If not-try, try again.

Religion is defined as a repetitous action. One always without thought knows where their bathroom is. Faith, well I will never offer another mind the paradox of testing their faith. The voice in the back of your mind that speaks sense, as a gut feeling, that to me is God anf that is my faith. Religion, dogma, they are correct in vision but to each as self. As drug addicts meet in the shadows,
families meet at home or friends and lovers go to the movies,
people of faith meet in places of worship. I believe the statement:

The body is the temple and when people connect, truly that is when they are in church.

I couldn't agree more.

Yes, the Holy Spirit within each of us tells us what is the right thing or wrong thing to do. It is the recognition of this that most have trouble with.

God, the Holy Spirit, is within each of us. Once one recognizes this and begins listening to the Holy Spirit life becomes so much easier to understand.

Most wonder around the planet asking the question where do we go from here? What they should be doing is remembering where they came from-not where they are going to.

What many of the masters have tried to teach is so simple. God is love and one should pass that love on to others. It is as simple as that.

Organized religion tries to make it much harder. It preaches fear if you don't do this, if you don't do that, etc.

Ever notice how the churches they build keep getting bigger and bigger and bigger? Why? God doesn't want some large temple for him to be worshiped in. The temple is within each one of us.

There is only one true sin. That is not recognizing that we have the Holy Spirit within each of us, and that we are all part of God.

I deny the validity of Christianity, because it really requires nothing more than fear - fear of hell, fear of God, etc. - to work properly. I don't believe in faith out of fear; I believe in faith out of belief. I also don't believe in faith out of being beaten to death (or physical intimidation) for not being a Christian - which has happened to me more than once for not being one.

I hate living in Baptist country...

Fear God?
I dont think God would want is to fear him, rather respect.
Lobo,
I remember when I was in grade 5 this kid in my class told me I would never go to Heaven becuase I was not Christian. Only Christians go to heaven he said.
Thinking back to that situation makes me think that some ignorance sparks in some very early in their lives.
Its obvious he was told this by his superiors which is even more pathetic to think that he was being taught this at such a young age.
