You sound like me man.
I was the same as you but i looked in to religion alot and found much comfort in Islam, you should look around, remember the right religion is your choice and its in your heart to follow it.

My dad told me when I was younger that if I want to believe in something believe in myself. It's the best piece of advice I've ever been given.

Do you mean, most followed religion.
Thier are alot of Christians aswells as Islamics.
I think im the only Sikh, thier are some Bhuddist's too.

Also, you should follow whatever religion feels right.
If none apeal to you, make your own.
Thier nothing wrong with living on your own set of values.

I believe religion is 'evil' in some ways. If you look at it with some sense, wouldn't you think that the Creator would not want seperation, and would want unity among us? If he wanted unity among us, why would he create religion (which seperates us by our beliefs).

For centuries preachers have preached about religion and pretty much twisted it up as much as possible. I remember reading somewhere on this forum, someone said that hell started when the church was created. For decades, priests have abused little kids and kept this secret. This isn't only shown in Christianity but in Islam as well, you can see in the Middle East there are mullahs that preach violence in the name of God. Obviously this is wrong. Every religion has its extremes.

You know....there's nothing wrong with coming up with your own beliefs, vs. accepting those of others.... Especially when you don't find one that is parallel with your ideas.....

And it's a good thing. I was brought up Baptist till I was kicked out of two churches for my beliefs. I now follow my own set of guidlines that are derived from many religions. Most of them come from the Pagan/Wiccan background, with other aspects of other religions thrown in. My religion has no name, and no one all powerful deity. There are many.

I don't belive in Religion. I believe it is the spark of conflict. Too many conflicting beliefs. I believe in Spirituality. Meditation, love and happiness is the key to life. The age of Aquarius is still far away....

All that I see in mankind right now is War... Until the US Government changes its policies no one will every really be free.

When you enquire of someones beilief system you are preconditioning a responce. It is a label seeking to interact with a label. The label of a programme. I see most of you have shead your original programming. You can not renter the matrix. Red pill = knowledge, blue pill = ignorance. We must learn to deprogramme others, if your house was on fire you would awaken all. There is no differnce now you must act. You may take others to the door only they may open. Do not fear independance it is the sighn of true freedom.

I disagree with making up your own religion and following it.....what happens when your views on what is right or wrong is damaging to others.......eg...offering human sacrifice for your own pleasure or getting drugged and hurting others .....or whatever other form of man made religion there is to offer!
(not that this would happen....but todays world anything goes)
Religion is just a word........it is not one that can be 'made up' and followed without consequences.....

Many people have different laws and rules that they believe to be 'just' and best suited for their own benefit......in extreme cases it can be quite damaging because it becomes a power thing that makes one think they are superiour and above the rest of all others....making them selves to be better and judgemental toward others causing conflicting ideas of what is right and what is wrong....

helen...
