I've since seen the posts etc that the guy is in fact a lapsed Muslim who claims to be an atheist.

I can't see what such a man was hoping to achieve by carrying out this atrocity.....who truly knows the minds of these extremist nutjobs - he is undoubtedly an extremist of some sort.

I'm reminded of the immediate aftermath of the Southport killings. Instant allegations and assumptions that the scumbag was Muslim then all of sudden apparent 'official sources' leaked he was in fact Christian blah blah blah.
Lo and behold it turns out that its most likely all those initial suspicions are correct and he is/was in fact a lone wolf, Islamic extremist - go figure.

I will tell you who knows the minds of these "extremist nutjobs" - the radicaliser. They know them so well, that much like the pedophile, they can spot their targets at a distance and quickly isolate them from the herd. Groomers will groom for whatever they're grooming their vulnerable targets for.

But, in terms of other events. The seeming lone wolf. Mental illness. No more rhyme or reason than that.

There are plenty of reasons that people have for hating/disliking/fearing other demographics but acting on those, in isolation without grooming or other forms of radicalisation being a factor, is more often than not a consequence of mental illness.

I don't have any reasoning on that beyond my acknowledging that it is a statistical reality. And globally.

But reasons, studies suggest trauma is a major factor. A lack of people around you capable of understanding your trauma. Lack of support network/community generally. Same reasons that most suffer mental illness really only magnified. And, I think, feeling rejected is an additional factor sometimes but only in addition to other contributing factors.

Oh come on, please. Maybe, maybe that still applies to a handful of 80-100 year olds with dementia but to no one else here. I am 50 meanwhile and my parents and i watched Winnetou and Old Shatterhand movies together, i even had books and vinyl LP´s. My parents had the wisdom you have and knew that Karl May was a writer, his stories pure fiction and that he never visited the Americas. Even my grandparents knew this, it was never a secret.

Well, maybe my comparison is a bit off. And I don't know when Lumenari was here. If she was here 20 years ago, then that was exactly the time when many people watched Winnetou on Sundays.

Of course, you can't generalize that to everything. And most Germans are in that age range. Today's young people don't watch that anymore, of course. They have the internet. But 20 years ago, things were different.

The biggest problem with this is unfortunately the following:

All those who were allowed in without a passport, their origin and identity must first be established. Then the country must accept the deportation.

But where do you want to deport them if you don't know their origin? That is a huge problem. No one can credibly explain to me that politicians didn't know this.

And those who came knew this. That as soon as they are in Germany without a passport, they will stay there. That is the biggest challenge.

On learning more about who this guy claims to be,this has the hallmarks of a psy op or possibly false flag against the AFD.
He may not be the person he tried to look like on his social media posts.
He may be working for a different agenda to what he claimed.
Those he helped to escape into the west may also not be who they claimed to be.

Why just why would he behave in a manner which so fully fits a jihadist attack pattern if as he claims he was anti jihad?

In the morning Musk got involved and spoke up for the AfD... He immediately outraged German politicians and they asked if he was allowed to do that. Then in the evening the attack took place. Our German politicians always have a big mouth against everything USA. Trump in particular was only slammed back then, but when Musk says something about Scholz (our declining chancellor who is just as clean as Biden) then everyone cries and says 'he's not allowed to do that! booooo'

It all has a strange taste. It just fits too well. I had the same thought, but the people who vote for the AfD don't let themselves be fooled by something like that anyway. But you could ban the party like that, that's what they've wanted to do since they became the second strongest force. But you have to be honest, the AfD does have very right-wing extremist tendencies. There is definitely a group within it.

Alice Weidel, who is probably running for chancellor for the AFD, is a lesbian and is in a relationship with a woman. So the party can't be that intolerant. But you never hear that in the media.

I hope noone follows your traffic jam advice. Parking in the emergency lane is illeagle unless you are the emergency. You block the emergency responders. You must stay in the regular lanes to stay out of their way. This applies to all USA states. Your country may vary.

You should pull over and stop in regular traffic if possible.

It is called the emergency lane for a reason. I have seen several police stops for using emergency lanes during traffic jams.

German press and Reuters reported that the Saudi authorities had reported him to the German authorities recently,so he was definitley on the radar as a threat.
