No, I'm trying to point out that there could be reasons to not go out and counterattack people who may not have been responsible.

Stating a hypothetical motivation does not mean that I am justifying anything.

I guess the doctors creed to 'Do no harm' doesn't apply if you're Muslim and taught your whole life to hate the unclean infidels.

And it was a Christmas market.

It's sick. And sad. the 3 years we spent in Germany, our favorite times were the Christmas markets in our town. It was a chance for friends and neighbors to get together. Mulled wine for the grown-ups, hot chocolate for the kids.

It was sad and sickening to see this.

Several of the posted articles on that news aggregation site contain contradictory details.

It seems the very thing that gives you certitude, gives me pause to consider that the authors don't know the full details, are carelessly inaccurate, or are intentionally misrepresenting the details to fit their opinion.

And while most sites have mentioned that the perpetrator came from Middle Eastern countries (plural), they don't explicitly say he was a practicing Muslim.

No less, a doctor...who can someone who allegedly devout himself to saving lives murder innocent people.

Honestly, how do extreme-right-wing regimes treat migrants?

None of the reports have made any mention of the guy being on a watchlist, or of any clear motivation for it. The motivation is all by inference, and not clearly stated anywhere.

I don't think we have the whole story yet.
