Someone just needs to order goddamn helicopters up into the air with 4k high resolution cameras on a live stream and we will all know everything. Fully within any city/county/state's municipalities' authority and capability as long as they have helicopters and a healthy cinematography market nearby. Which is like pretty much any Iphone nowadays I guess.

I didn’t expect anything more coming from the most incompetent administration and military in US history. The response from this administration and current military leadership is pathetic albeit on par with the incompetence we’ve been seeing the last 4 years. The fact they’re telling us they’re not a threat yet they don’t know what they are is ludicrous and makes ZERO sense.

A buddy who is a pilot said they shut down one of the airports in New York last night due to drones on both approaches into it. WTF over!

The gov't knows for sure who is controlling them and its most likely ours or an ally with permission.

The question not answered is why and what is the purpose.


Its going to be a bumpy ride between here and Jan 20th.

ATC Radar can’t see them. Most of their radars are Secondary type, meaning they send out a signal to interrogate a transponder. Primary type radars, that would be able to see them filter out small slow targets to keep from overwhelming the operator. They can pick up birds and other targets like that, so the software removes it from the screen.

THAT'S WHAT I'm talkin' about!!!! Let's see how much the government denies ownership of these drones once people start taking them down.

Not saying anything is more harmful than the government can imagine. And some government entities genuinely seem to not know anything about them. Maybe the government could state something like, 'we'll be participating in heavy drone maneuvers and training to be better prepared for using our highly technical equipment.' I mean really, almost anything would suffice and satisfy people's curiosity. This isn't a light subject and seriously needs some public clarification.

Personally, I think that the drones stopped shortly after they started. Possibly a hostile power checking out military locations. A Chinese national was arrested for flying a drone over Vandenberg last week, and several were spotted flying near carriers in port, both ours and the UK. I think they stopped after a couple days, and politicians and lobbyists decided to take advantage and push the narrative that they're still flying, and people that wouldn't know a plane type if it landed in front of them with it printed on the side in letters 4 feet tall are seeing planes at night, hearing about drones constantly flying over the area, and freaking out. And the politicians are laughing all the way to the bank, along with the C-UAS manufacturers, because the push is going to be on to equip installations in the US with them, as well as bases outside the US.
