Hell of a predicament CarlLaFong.

But not everything is about America.

And the world is somewhat a larger kettle of fish.

Ukraine are not doing anything that is not being done to them, repeatedly and since the beginning of Putin's Special Military Operation.

So once again whats good for the goose.................

I heard an interesting take this morning.

This can work in everyone’s favor soon if navigated properly.

You expect the Biden administration to navigate something military, properly?

I understand the premise of the system CarlLaFong.

It dont change the facts of the matter.

And the fact is Ukraine won't be doing anything that has not been done to them and are returning the favor.

That's how war works as far I'm led to believe.

You cant cry foul about something you yourself are already doing to other people.

Or if Putin does that dont make much logical sense.

I never said that.

The whole premise of my thought experiment is they’re gone soon.

A point Putin is no doubt well aware of , it would be like an old Western where guy pulls his gun in a bar and the bar pull their guns on him , even if Putin has a death wish does his military ?

I don't thing so.

I understand your thought experiment...BUT...When long-range ballistic missiles are detected inside the airspace of a nuclear superpower...retaliatory responses are made in milliseconds...not months.

Imagine long range ballistic missiles detected entering US airspace.
Any guess what our immediate response would be?

This is a bad solution for those who want escalation, but it would be the right move.

Before those launchers and missiles can be used, Russia should blow them up, using fighter jets, or cruise missiles.

That is what Russia did to some planes that were received in Ukraine from (Poland?). The hanger was destroyed with the planes inside.

Save many lives by avoiding a huge Biden-enabled escalation.

Do you have a source confirming they were destroyed?

I don't think they are "ballistic"?

Let's assume your "old western" Mexican Standoff' analogy.

You know that one of the cowboys pulling the gun on you has dementia, has a record of making bad decisions...and has nothing left to lose.

Well yeh, that might explain Putin's paranoia.

And Russian Men of Putin's age have not exactly got the best life expectancy at the best of times.

Again if Putin pulls his nuclear gun he's apt to get shot in the face.

And then it all comes tumbling down.

Hence the reason he would be pretty stupid to travel down that road.

The peace table is the answer CarlLaFong with realistic goals from both sides.

The MGM-140 Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS /əˈtækəmz/) is a supersonic tactical ballistic missile

The missile follows a ballistic trajectory once launched, meaning it is propelled by its rocket engine until it reaches a certain altitude.

It then follows a curved path dictated by the force of its initial thrust, which is indeed indicative of a typical ballistic weapon.

Putin might be getting to the point of nothing to lose either if he is cutting into the oligarchs money.
