They invent crap on everything it seems. He was almost done with the Q&A and there were two medical emergencies, and they all stayed on stage until the people were taken care of that took a good while. If people started to trickle out it was only that it was basically over, and Trump stayed until everything was OK.

I've never kept it secret that I think Trump is an awful choice and should never have been allowed anywhere near The White House, but given the alternative if I was American I'd be seriously considering voting for him.

I agree. The dems have failed the entire nation, not for the made up stuff that the Rs are making up but instead for failing to present a more solid candidate, and that is a very low bar that the R's have established with Trump. Who do we choose from when the field is fiddle and faddle?

When Biden was convinced to drop out (and I know that Republicans insist he was pushed out ) I had the notion, and later found out hat Pelosi did as well, that the choice should be made at the convention from the floor. Let the delegates to the convention make their nominations and let those nominees make their pitches. Vote and then vote again and again until the best has risen to the top.

But that didn't happen. Instead, Biden anointed Harris and the party, fearful of their own membership circled the wagons and the pledges wrapped it up for Harris. And sure enough, the initial surge was grand but unsustainable not because she is a woman or because she is not white but simply because,,,,she is Harris.They relied way to much on that old dream of ''some day, some day'' a black woman from the hood would rise to the top. And yet, maybe she will. Maybe Trump will falter even more and enough people will come down on a side apart from him, any side apart from him.

So he had his bad pr from that rally and now I see that he flubbed a town hall with some Chicago Economic club town hall where he was met with laughs from the audience and immediate fact checking from the moderator as well as being called out continually for ''thread drift''.

I like to think they failed the USA by allowing it to be abused for four years when they had the opportunity to construct a foundation of stability and growth domestically.

I look forward to the thread regarding Trumps Chicago town hall and eventually reading about the completely above board American election, with all the I’s dotted and T’s crossed.

That alone will be a huge step towards a brighter future for the US and the world in general.

I think this thread is a worthy tread as it has a uniqueness that deserves scrutiny for that uniqueness. Was it merely another example of Trump's dementia taking over or a case of compassion on his part or just him trying to fill a void. I run with a slight case of compassion, which is rather foreign to him followed by trying to fill the void with Ave Maria, which he seems to have various recordings of in his catalogue. He appeared to be attempting to truly listen to the music which leads me to thinking that that song may be his ''safety place''. I'm just wood-shedding here.

That Economic Forum, may get a thread but not from me. That issue, his dodging and weaving and a moderator who attempts to hold him to the questions asked and offering different opinions is old hat and would spur on the regular canned retorts. Once again we arrive at boring.
