Agreed. But even if Putin goes bungee jumping without a bungee, I fear there are even worse ultra nationalists waiting to take over.

Russia needs another people's Revolution to change anything for the better.

It's also Ukrainian ultra nationalists that created tensions, which are directly related to this conflict...

This region has always had people with Russian descent and they have been systematically persecuted. This region voted for a separation from Ukrania which has been ignored by the government....
it's one of the reason Russia felt the need to do something...

"This region voted for a separation from Ukrania which has been ignored by the government...."

Do you mean the farcical Crimea "referendums"?

Ukrainians voted for closer ties with Europe, but their Russian installed stooge tried to take them back to Russia.

They kicked him out and he scurried away with $70 billion of their money.

Because it was?

www.independent.co.uk...

"What little actual campaigning there's been in Crimea has taken place under the often menacing gaze of local militia forces, as well as the seemingly Russian military. In the face of overwhelming evidence, Russia denies it has deployed any troops."

I feel like the concerns of the russians living in those erea should have been taken serious...

Was the joy after the referendum also under pressure or was it genuine? It seems the west has other interests in the area.

In general i think it should be taken more serious if anyone region wants independence from a country. Remeber the catalans, it was ridiculed and denied although it was a legit vote.
lots of money spain would loose.

Just goes to show that certain things will not be alowed even if it's democratic and the last word is always by the economy....

Definitely not as one sided as propaganda outlets would make us belive, and definitely not worth getting involved.

Yanukovych tried in good faith to strike an economic deal with the EU but the EU demanded concessions he was not willing to accept.

He detailed Ukraine’s economic woes at the meeting with EU leaders, including German Chancellor Angela Merkel and British Prime Minister David Cameron, citing high prices Ukraine has to pay for natural gas from Russia.

Yanukovich proposed startingthree-way talks between Russia, Ukraine and the EU and urged Brussels to help Ukraine soften the terms of a possible loan from the International Monetary Fund, an EU diplomat said.

But the EU rejected trilateral talksand said Yanukovich must give a commitment to sign the agreement that he refused to give.

“He had to make that leap of faith that he wasn’t prepared to make,” the diplomat said.

CNBC

In other words, the EU got greedy.

So instead of getting Ukraine one way, they instigated a coup of the duly elected government to get it by any means necessary. Enter Victoria Nuland and co.

But, under intense pressure from Moscow, Yanukovich renounced plans last week to sign the agreement in favour of closer ties with Russia, dealing a blow to the EU’s efforts to build closer relations with former Soviet republics.

But sure it was the EU.

You see what I say? You deny the truth when it slaps you in the face. Arguing with you any further is a fool's endeavor.

Here you go again.

Slap me in the face with your truth by giving straight answers to my two straightforward question?

If, you can.

Please?

Your projection is incredible.

Your own link say it wasn't signed because of pressure from Russia.

You say "in other words". Then say something that isn't supported by the article at all

But it others that are denying truth?

Amazing.

You don't have any straightforward questions. Every question you ask are laced with ulterior motives. You're just an antagonist....

Like an infestation of flees that can't be satisfied.

Let me correct your punctuation.

"The projection and denial is strong with this one."

The obsessive use of comas are not appropriate in such a short and straightforward statement.
