Why can't republicans be nazis? One of republicanisms main core tenants was civic duty, same as Nazi Germany. Do you have the American idea in your head of what Republicanism is?

Do you know what "Republicanism" has its roots in? Are you even aware that there are 2 golden fasces adorned behind the congressional speakers chair in the UNITED STATES congress? Or that the "Defend of the REPUBLIC" rests his hands on 2 giant marble fasces in the lincoln memorial?

Republicanism may not be specifically nationalist or socialist.

But Republicanism IS Fascism. I'm not triggered by the word, and don't assume bad connotation to it, because I understand what the word means.

Absolutely, considering all my topics and research is on semiotics and etymology, I would be glad to.

The Nachtigall (former) and Nightingale (current) insignias are based around the Wolfsangel symbol. Contrary to popular belief (in this thread), that symbol is not a symbol of Ukrainian heritage. Ironically, it is a ancient runic symbol of Germanic Norse religions.

Because, in fact, the Ukrainian battalion (of the former and ladder) operated with nazis and subsequently America, in the former, assisted in rounding up Ukrainian Jews for slaughter. So to say "it's their heritage", which a few people have said so far, is a fallacy, because the symbol is a germanic runic symbol.

But to continue, fast-forward, the Waffen SS was a private paramilitary under Hitlers control. In that paramilitary were different battalions that all had insignia. A LOT of Waffen SS incorporated ancient Germanic runes in their insignias, one of the most predominate was....

The Wolfsangel.

YOU assume "fascism" is bad thing. Mussolini and Hitler were bad things. They didn't create Fascism. Hence forth, the same society Hitler and Mussolini tried to recreate, is the exact same society we based the American Republic on. Roman Republicanism.

We don't need to assume such.

History perfectly illustrates the point and what happens when fascists take control.

It tends to work out shall we say rather poorly for certain demographics they don't like or have demonized.

It's seen as a deeply harmful and destructive ideology.

So are they Nazis?

The last time they used that symbol they were fighting the Russians who killed about 30% of the population there. Back to the question, are they using it because they are Nazis or because they are once again fighting the Russians? We need to remember the Nazi party is about 3% of the population by vote.
