You want government health care???

I am a veteran...if I had to depend on the VA health care...I would have been dead years ago.

Be careful what you ask for.

So much this.

Got my knee replaced with private insurance, going to have my shoulder replaced with private insurance also.

I wonder if there is a website that compares how satisfied Americans are with the various types of healthcare available in the country.

Here in Chicago, the best doctors are shifting to "Concierge" medical care. There is an entire high-rise filled with them in the "Gold Coast" section of town.

Concierge medial care defined: www.verywellhealth.com...

If we go to a 100% government-run system, more of THE BEST doctors will stop accepting patients who can't pay for the services, because the government pays doctors LESS than private insurance does.

I had my knee replaced when I was on a med advantage plan. They had me up and walking when feeling to my leg still hadn't returned, which ended up causing torn ligaments in my ankle.

They sent me home the day afyer surgery, in excruciaating pain. The pain meds made me throw up, so the doctor ordered something else-which my plan wouldn't cover because they had already covered pain meds.

I had the options to request they expidite a review, and they would make a decision within 72 hours.

By that time I had also developed a bad case of sciatica. I couldn't afford the high out-of-pocket cost for pain meds, but had to rob Peter to pay Paul.

The ACA built a house of cards. Insurance company employees will all be added to unemployed. Drug company salesmen will be joining them.
Doctors driving Mazeratis and living in multi-million dollar mnsions will be a thing of the past.

There are plenty of people from countires telling of how they have to wait months to see a specialist, and by then their stage one cancer beame end stage, or their heart issue became a non-issue when they had a hert attack.

Everybody with socialised medicine loves that it's free, but hates it when the develop a serious health issue and have to wait months for diagnostic tests and treatment.

Is there any industry the government has taken over that actually improved? Do we really want to kill a few million jobs and businesses for government 'free' health care?

The ACA was supposed to make healthcare more affordable, but it did just the opposite-unless you're one of the people who lives for government handouts. Those who still have an ounce of dignity prefer to pay their own way, and not have the government force them into poverty.

Government overeach difinition: Democratic party.

New DNC slogan: People For Poverty, brought to you by the Democratic party, fully supported by Kamal Harris and T. Walz

You are 100% correct about Socialized Medicine only getting good reviews from those who haven't developed or experienced a life-threatening health condition, or event.

Lots of "well-heeled" people come to Chicago from Canada (5 to 7 hour drive) to get treatment because they'd die waiting their turn in Toronto.

it continues to blow my mind that Americans think it's impossible to do better than our current system. That idea is just based on ignorance and arrogance.

... says the person who has never actually had US Government run healthcare. As I said .. I have ... for five years .. US Army Healthcare. And it sucked. The bureaucracy of having idiots decide if you qualify for health care sucked. The wait for them to decide sucked. The wait for actual healthcare sucked. The doctors sucked. The care itself sucked. The facilities sucked. The outcomes sucked.

That's not me speaking from 'ignorance and arrogance' as you falsely state.

That's me speaking from actual experience.

Anything the US Government touches turns to crap.

Truth bomb, right there.

It appears Reps don't seem to care about saving lives.

If what you were saying was true it should be reflected in life expectancy, but it's not. The life expectancy in countries with healthcare systems that rank above the US tend to be higher.

She's a foreigner. Probably from Canada.
For some reason wants everyone in America to live like Canadians.
Campaigns for it. Kinda weird.

I gave the truth. Government run healthcare ... I lived it for five years. The bureaucracy for getting approval for procedures sucked. The wait for procedures if you are approved sucked. The care itself sucked. The doctors sucked. The facilities sucked. The outcomes sucked.

The EXPENSE of it all on the taxpayers, paying for everyone including illegals to have government healthcare sucks too.

You, a foreigner, campaigning for Americans to have to pay for illegals to have 'free' healthcare at the expense of tax paying Americans is WEIRD.

And how are things running in your country with government run healthcare? Let's see ...

You are not interested in what Americans want regarding health care, only what you think based upon your personal experiences. Your personal experiences are relegated to you not to anyone else. Talk to those with disabilities, talk to the people of color communities who face worse health issues...it goes beyond your experiences.

I'm stating that they don't know what they are asking for.
I'm stating that what you are pushing for doesn't work.
And why do you care what Americans want for health care?
It's not your country.
Shouldn't you be more concerned with the failing health care system in Canada
instead of pushing that same crap on Americans?
Every campaign you push for Americans is bad for us. Interesting ...

From the charts I am looking at from 2020 to 2023, you are right, it goes up and down. Isn't the prudent thing to do is at least give it a try and work out the kinks along the way?

"Try" a system known to fail? No. That's just retarded.
Have American taxpayers pay for free healthcare for tens of millions of illegals?
That's even more retarded.

Try a system and model it on other countries' systems that have made it work and have already worked out the kinks?

They dont' have tens of millions of illegals sucking off the system.
They don't have the same demographics of peoples.
Nope. Not even remotely the same situation.

Absolutely correct, nor do they have your high level of the haul of taxes and GDP which is squandered and/or mismanaged by your leaders.

That's sort of how it was in the army with the government run healthcare.

The regular people had to wait for the bureaucracy to approve procedures and care. If you were lucky enough to get approved, you had to wait for the actual care. Then the care you got sucked. The doctors and facilities sucked. The outcomes sucked. UNLESS you happened to be a staff officer or Commanding General type of person. Then there was no bureaucracy or wait and you went to the head of the line.
