Yes or no ... if you saw her walking down the street would you say 'that's a black woman'?

Can we agree that she is "a woman of colour" and ditch the race semantics?

Everyone is 'of color'.
Even pale white people like me are of a color.

I'm not going to call her a black woman simply because that's
how she wants to identify. She's not black to me. And I"m
sure she doesn't give a rats backend what I think of her.
So it's a nothingburger.

You are confused between African American color and Jamaican color, here is help for you to understand.

The ghost of Phil Lynott wants to disagree.

The vast majority of Jamaicans are of Sub-Saharan African descent, with minorities of Europeans, Indians, Chinese, Middle Eastern, and others of mixed ancestry.

Guess what? We all come from African roots.

My DNA ancestry tells me my origins started in Nigeria but I am now whiter than white.

So even if someone is 100% Black they're not Black if they're lightskin?

She was treated as Black growing up. She went to Howard. She pledged to the first Black sorority.

She's experienced the Black experience. To claim she's not Black because she's not dark enough for you is extremely insulting and the definition of colorism.

If I saw her walking down the street I would not be trying to figure out what race she was.

Yes according to what words mean and the lady's race.

No, according to you.

Pray tell, why is her colour and the "fact" that she's black and biracial of concern to you?

Do you know who else has problems understanding what words mean?

Now I've been her long enough to know you are not a complete racist, hence the reason i ask and dont just label and move on.

I'm not the one who cares.
It's the democrats who care about race.
Identity politics.
I'm having a conversation.
I'm saying she's not black.
I"m not calling someone who isn't black, black, just to make others happy.
You want to identify her as black? Go ahead. I don't care.
