the media is just swooning over Harris/Walz. reading Google News is like looking at a DNC media release.

really hoping more of us will see through the media bias.

To get accurate information, read the financial sites not the MSM.

To be fair, I don't and never have had much faith in polls.

Unless they show something overwhelming, like in our recent General Election.

The only poll that ends up being accurate is the final one at the general election. Well .. if you don't take into account the cheating and all that.

True!

Cheating?

I must have missed that.

Surely, if there had been any cheating, it would have been posted about on here?

Here's the way polls work on ATS....

If it favors trump....the poll is accurate and to be endlessly repeated.

if it favors anyone else.....it's fake news, gaslighting, bogus, and manufactured.

However polls on both sides should be scrutinized closely for a broad spectrum sample like this site.

projects.fivethirtyeight.com...

Where's Melania and Ivanka!!! They always were in attendance at trumps rally's; especially during campaign season....curious!!

can you explain what policies I like that make me extreme right?

I have no idea what policies you like, nor do I care. The extreme right is not defined by policies; it is defined by its attitude of condemnation and attempted exclusion of certain groups from society.

wait, you said:

you have deviated so far to the right that normal people seem like extreme leftists to you.

I need to know how I did that. If not for the policies I am for, how else would I be "so far to the right"? Do you even understand any of this? Are you a poorly programmed bot?

Just a human being who isn't interested in pointlessly bandying words. Still, your question deserves an answer. Here's one to be going on with -- it will probably be taken down for being off topic.

In a recent thread you accused the Pew Research Centre (which is nonpartisan, nonpolitical and funded on religious principles) of 'gaslighting' you and other Americans. The charge was laughable, but I don't care about that. More significant, your OP made clear that you are opposed to government health care. To you, it's socialism.

That is a far-right view, though a somewhat popular one in America. It is also dead wrong.

If state-funded healthcare is socialist, then 185 countries in the world must be socialist. The United States is one of only 10 countries in the world without universal health care. Ten out of 195 countries.

You are so far to the right that, on that simple measure, 95% of the world is to the left of you.

By the way, would you like to know what the other 9 are? Here's the list: Afghanistan, Iran, Egypt, Nigeria, Pakistan, South Africa, Syria, Yemen and... China. That's right, the allegedly Communist, Marxist, Socialist People’s Republic of China.

My apologies to members and staff who found this little digression annoying.

I appreciate you explaining your charge. You should comment in that thread if you feel I was wrong.
But if the government is in control of health care, than that is a socialist healthcare system. By definition. Our current system has mixtures of socialism in it, with HOA's and city government's doing things for citizens as part of the tax agreement. It just is, you don't have to like it, but it's here and there isn't another option on the table currently.

So my understanding of the term socialism is what categorizes me as extreme right wing?

a political and economic theory of social organization which advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole.
"we want a real democratic and pluralist left party—one which unites all those who believe in socialism"

The government isn't really in control of the healthcare system. The Insurance companies tell the government what to do in regard to health care in this country and the government people takes the bribes, kickbacks and slushfunds, Board of director jobs when they retire and they follow the direction of the insurance providers.

That's not socialism, that's capitalism. We have the best healthcare system in this country that money can buy....

My mutual fund is loaded with health insurance corps.

The fact you really think pew research is non partisan and not political is laughable. They’re as far left as any of the other leftest propaganda outlets. Pew is a joke You obviously aren’t all that familiar with their skewed and manipulative way they write their propaganda/data.

As far as gov healthcare I guess you haven’t been paying the slightest bit of attention to the VA for decades or Canada and the UK. If you need to be educated on the subject just ask a few vet’s about government healthcare in the US or talk to some canucks and limeys.

It sounds like a communist/socialist country would suit your needs better. I don’t see a big difference between socialism and communism once you start peeling the onion.

What condemnation and exclusion are you talking abou? You do realize the left are guilty of the same don’t you or is it just the right?

I can think of a lot of things the left condemns and wants excluded. They’re taking away parents right to parent, hate Christian’s, women’s rights, many want the police defunded, hates anyone against abortion just to name a few. These are all things they constantly condemn and would like to see taken away out of society.

So, not real sure how or why you can say that about the right only.

read my post again. I didn't say we HAVE a government run system, the thread in question was speaking to the idea that the majority of American's wanted that, and I believe that assertion is false.

And Harris and Walz campaign is smoke and mirrors. No substance only media hype and some fluffers. (look into the porn industry to understand that term)

I can already hear the caterwauling. Comer doesn't have anything on Walz! The headlines are likely already in the can, regardless of what is found.

China plays the long game, and likely has quite a few political DERP's getting some under the desk work done by Fang Fang. They invest a little, and hope one of them makes it big. Like being picked for VP. Good thing China has our best interests at heart.

Fair minded people will see that this is a political hit job, just like the ones on Trump.
Why have they decided to 'investigate' now?
It's pathetic and will turn people away from Republicans just like the obvious political hit jobs on Trump have helped him.

an investigation into verifying this guy is or isn't owned by China? And that's a bad thing? If he did nothing wrong, he has nothing to fear. Like the political hits on Trump, everyone sees them for what they are, but they did let the investigations go on so we could know all the facts.

Why would getting all the facts be bad?

I get it.
I just think it's obviously political and I understand the need for payback.
But it is not a vote winner.
