If there's nothing in the contract Trump's campaign that stipulates his opponent for the debate, the contract is not null and void. And if he refuses to appear he will be opening himself up to litigation.

ETA: Gosh. It’d be a much bigger shame and scandal if Kamala and the DNC were named as defendants in a case Trump brings forth were they to pull the rug out from her the way they did to Joe and she couldn’t debate him on FOX as the deal has been stipulated.

well, there are entities we call "people", and each is individual. Some are named Bob, some Steve, some Darla, and some Don. In this particular case, a guy named Don, made a deal with a guy named Joe. Their deal was glorious. It was the most amazing deal ever. But then, something changed. Now Don wasn't sure this "Kamala" was going to be there when the deal was supposed to be done, as the last party to make this deal reneged, so Don waited a few days to see if the new girl was going to stick around long enough to follow through with the deal. I don't think we can etch that in stone quite yet, but based on reality, and facts, It's unlikely they will switch out people a third time. There just isn't enough hours left.

So Don made a deal with the new girl, and since he was able to make the deal he wanted, he got all the things that made him smile. He agreed along with the new girl, to do the deal September 4th. And apparently that made the left very sad pandas. So sad that they all screamed at the sky in unison. They shook their tiny fists at the sky and screamed "why can't we get everything we want and right now!!!!" But the sky only laughed at them, for being the pathetic sky screamers they are. The agreement was between Trump and Biden. Biden dropped out.
Biden broke the agreement.
The agreement is then dissolved.
A new agreement between parties must be made.
This is basic common sense stuff.
And no .. there is no 'litigation' that Trump opens himself up to.
