Arbitrageur's post was well written and spot on, as many of us have said since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, it's excuse of de-nazifying Ukraine was a ruse, as the Russian forces also suffered from neo-nazi tribalism within it's ranks, with parts of the Wagner group being so much worse, to a point of hero worship.

As for your last point, the UK imports between 30-40% of its primary energy, most of which comes from Norwaybut as of last year Wind turbines have generated more electricity than gas for the first time in the UK.

Why did you take offense at my understanding that other European country's freedom of choice to buy U.S. fuel and not Russian fuel was to make a political statement to Russia?

I honestly think you don't understand what it feels like to have freedom of choice, expression etc. Maybe that is why ATS keeps drawing you back...you crave a outlet of free speech and expression.
