What or who made the 20 year old kid so angry that he felt the need to kill a person he has never met? Was it the news? Social media? Trump himself? Biden himself? the answers are likely in his online world. Reports of the kid from those he was in school with say he was an outsider, bullied, teased, and shunned. So he was well on his way to disassociative behavior long before last Saturday.

He was said to wear cammo and hunting cloths, and was a gun nut/enthusiast. He wanted to be on the shooting team, but was not allowed. Why that is would be an important clue maybe. And "bad shot" may not be the reason. So while we don't know what we don't know, there are clues, but it's going to be murky for a while. Be sure to keep track of videos and events that sound important. The memory hole is a scary place.

He was severely bullied as a past classmate stated, plus the destructive rhetoric from both parties.

From the very little information about him so far, he seemed to be very much into politics. Any wonder why now?

My guess is something along the lines of what you pointed out.

He got bullied in school, and in all reality he was pretty fresh out of that system.

If it was bad, there’s a good chance he didn’t have a big friend group.

Not sure what his parents are like. But even if they’re good ones, there’s only so much parents can do for a developing kid. There’s a big part of us that develops along side our peers.

Kids keep a lot from their parents, and it’s our peers and friends who check us on a lot of our actions and thoughts. If he didn’t have that, I imagine the internet filled that void.

I’m terrified for the kids who only have online communities. Some probably get lucky with some decent cats in gaming communities who mean well and are just kind of the nerdy type who don’t go out to hang out with people.

But for others, I’m sure they slip into echo chambers. Some of which can have pretty extreme language normalized.

That’s just a guess on my part though. There very well could be more to all this.

My guess is still on family dynamics, being the main culprit for him snapping.
It's about the age where the real non pubescent emancipation happens. Sometimes they do really stupid things to make a point...

Probably just swallowed all the BS about Trump being Hitler and thought taking him out was a reasonable reaction.

You don't actually need to be a nutter to get brainwashed by stuff, its pretty much every news outlet going painting Trump and his support as evil...let enough of that bleed into you and you will end up going full on Manchurian candidate.

and you would be correct, and its a known fact that that both of his parents are behavioral counselors.

talks about his folks at the 4:01 mark.

you reckon they missed something?

Hmmm. I imagine that could be tricky to live with. Might be hard to be a kid with parents in that field. Could be very easy for them to try their craft on their own kid.

Obviously pure speculation on my part.

He did not live in a bubble with his parents, look to society and his interest in politics and social media...then listen to both sides rhetoric. Doesn't take a genius to figure it out.

no he didn't, but his folks as paid behavioral counselors should know the warning signs of of troubled people / kids.
how many people do you think now will take their loved ones to them for counseling when they couldn't even see it in their own house.

i mean that's their job and they were probably just like some of the ones they are on the mental health band wagon blaming everything else but the person like you just did.

We don't know if he was estranged from his parents, he was 20 years old after all - supposedly an adult.

One would think.

But some people just internalize everything. A lot of kids have little ways of lashing out, but it’s the quiet ones that are harder to pick up on.

yes we do,he was fricking living with them and his dad let him take the rifle cause he said he was going to the gun range.

Crooks lived with his parents in Bethel Park, a quiet suburb of Pittsburgh that is about 50 miles south of where Saturday’s rally took place. He worked at a nursing home and graduated in May with an associate’s degree in engineering science from the Community College of Allegheny County in western Pennsylvania, according to a college spokesperson.
Rifle used by Trump rally shooter bought 11 years ago, person familiar says

We do not know what the parents knew or didn't know, is what I am saying, pure conjecture.

Interesting...

What do libertarians usually vote? This family got it all, that on itself can lead to quite some tension, especially if all of them follow their respective indoctrination.

Now imagine your mom counseling you, diametrically opposite to your dad and all along party lines, that might be confusing and if they are the sociopath those counseling people usually are they might use some dirty plays to get to their son and set him "straight"...

He was a severely bullied self-radicalized political activist listening to BS rhetoric from one side, apparently.

As a behavioral counselor you either suck at your job or you see trough the media brainwashing...

So they are either really bad at their job and fell for the medias manipulation, making it worse by accident or... they knew exactly what they were doing.

Perhaps a disordered intellect believing he needed to act in a drastic patriotic manner to save the country (?)

That sounds like facts and we all know you're just speculating...

Kind of makes it sound a little desperate to sell a certain narrative...
