The FBI is claiming they can't access the shooter's phone.

Do they really expect anyone to believe that?

The FBI should Google Search for how they accessed the San Bernardino California shooters phones.

One of many results: www.theverge.com...

Secret Service statement: In her first statement since the assassination attempt, the US Secret Service director Kimberly Cheatle said the agency will participate in an independent review of the incident. Cheatle also said she is confident in the agency’s RNC security plan.

This is a GOOD NEWS development, IF the Secret Service has more authority than the FBI, and IF the Secret Service head who is still hiding the White House Co'caine information, is no longer in charge.

TWO BIG "IFs". 😒

This is a GOOD NEWS development

The House Oversight Committee will be looking into Secret Service. As for who else?

All the politicians potentially have their own butts on the line with this one.

so two high profile people happened to be in the same area as trump eating up resources, on the same day an attempt is made on the leading candidate for president.

At a certain point you stop calling it conspiracy.

Our U.S. House is only working 8 days, EIGHT FRICKIN DAYS!, between now and September 9th!

We expect much from the GOP majority, but they DON'T CARE ENOUGH to rise to the occasion(s)! (I'm so upset about the slack schedule of Congress, my sig line below is dedicated to it.)

It sounds to me like she is saying the USSS will conduct their own review independent of the FBI investigation.

I'm sure they will conclude they did nothing wrong.

Has the best investigative agency in the world gotten into the Trump shooter's phone yet?

No?

There's your answer, OP.

Not to worry!

According to the left and the leftist media, Trump colluded with the FBI, the Secret Service and the Biden administration to fake this entire event!

Flawless!

Trust the FBI? How about the Federal Government in general? Any of the departments? The judiciary? Congress? How about the media, trust the Fourth Estate? Big Business? Academia?

Don't put your trust in an institution. Only people who have earned your trust, up until they violate it. Everything and everyone else, maintain some vigliance, or you're destined to be screwed. And once they're powerful enough after they've abused your trust, trust is irrelevant and the screwing is inevitable.

Do you have any other independent news sources that prove the FBI will be investigating the Secret Service, all I can see is that they are investigating Crooks? The FBI would not be an independent investigative body, IMO.

I don't know if the FBI will be investigating the Secret Service. One thing that gives me pause is how Everyone keeps talking like they can't believe the Secret Service would intentionally...INTENTIONALLY leave/notch the rooftop across the street out of their "Trump protection bubble".

See the diagram in this news article: theconservativetreehouse.com... raphed-by-law-enforcement-with-picture-forwarded/

Remember...

-The Secret Service wouldn't deny that Donald Trump tried to choke 2 of them out on 1/6/2021. (He didn't.) They also "lost" all their communication records from that day.

-The Secret Service torched all their rental cars in 2022: nantucketcurrent.com...

-The Secret Service says Cocaine at the White House belonged to someone in the Biden family orbit, but won't elaborate (to we owners/taxpayers), and our worthless (no oversight) Congress won't ask.

-The Secret Service investigated why a male Congressman was screwing a male aide on a meeting table in the Senate building, but won't tell us (the owners/taxpayers) any more about it.

Before the above we could dig up prostitution, protecting Hunter during his drug parties, and more!

Just because the Secret Service has been chosen to protect our leaders, doesn't mean they are all good people. Can't badmouth 100% of the FBI, can't speak highly of 100% of the Secret Service.

There will definitely be an upcoming hearing - on July 22nd. Mark your calendars.

House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer, R-Kentucky, made the request for a briefing with the Secret Service and said he would call Kimberly Cheatle, the agency's director, to testify at a hearing.

Government officials know Congress will adjourn on July 25th, and not return until September 9th. Which is why Comer is issuing a subpoena to force her testimony before they depart for 50 days of parties, beaches, travel, etc.. (Overpaid Lazy People who want us keep them in that lifestyle.)

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) will subpoena US Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle to compel her testimony later this month on the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump.

“While the Secret Service confirmed Director Cheatle was expected to appear for the Committee’s hearing on July 22, to head off any attempt by DHS to backtrack on her appearance, the Chairman will issue a subpoena for her to attend,” a spokesperson for the panel said in a statement.

“Director Cheatle must answer to Congress and the American people about the historic failure that occurred on her watch,” the Oversight rep insisted.

If the major TV networks don't report her testimony next Monday, will we be surprised? Despite their calls for "unity", I doubt they'll cover it. They are still the #1 enemy of Americans.

Exclusive–GOP Rep. Cloud: Homeland Security Agency Is Interfering in House’s Assassination Investigation

It appears it's just an information collecting hearing and private to boot. I expect the hearing that may be public will happen later on.

Comer and other Republicans on the House Oversight Committee sent Cheatle a letter Monday requesting records, according to a copy obtained by POLITICO. Republicans want some of the information — including a list of law enforcement personnel involved in the rally — before she testifies, while a more expensive sweep for documents and records has a deadline set later this month.

The House Oversight Committee is just one of several congressional panels planning investigations into Saturday’s shooting.

Sens. Gary Peters (D-Mich.) and Rand Paul (R-Ky.) — the chair and ranking member of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, respectively — also announced Monday that their committee will conduct a bipartisan investigation.

The two, in a letter to Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and FBI Director Christopher Wray, want a briefing from the departments, including the Secret Service, by July 25. They also requested that Mayorkas and Wray, or their designees, appear for a public hearing no later than Aug. 1.

But most of Congress’ early questions are focused on Cheatle and the Secret Service, with lawmakers questioning publicly how the gunman was able to get on a roof roughly 200 yards from where Trump was speaking.

Cheatle, in a Monday statement, said the Secret Service would cooperate with an independent review announced by President Joe Biden, as well as working “with the appropriate Congressional committees on any oversight action.”

So hopefully we will see a televised public hearing some time before August 1st. That's quick.

Congress works less than 50 days between now and 2025. They will not have time for "trivial" matters, like finding out more about the attempted assassination of one of America's greatest Presidents.

That job has been assigned to the man who has allowed hundreds of Americans to be killed at the hands of illegal aliens. Millions of illegal aliens he let into the country, on the orders of his boss, Joe "traitor" Biden.
