Even though the Germany thing has gone, I'm still supporting the Jocks. I'm holding my nose and may need a shower....

A much better performance tonight.
Go again against Hungary who are also no mugs - win and you qualify which would be a remarkable achievement considering its such a difficult group.

I'm a bit confused as to why I'm secretly wishing Scotland do well, its never happened before - I haven't told any of mates, English or Scottish, as I know both would torture me!

Must be mellowing with age mate?

Mrs C just asked "Who is Hublot and why does he come on as substitute all the time"?

Dismal. Boring. Crap. No energy, no pace, no getting behind the defence.

We have no chance against attacking teams like France, Italy, Germany etc.

Southgate, you muppet, get it sorted ffs!

We have the players, Southgate won't let them play.

It says something when Shearer, Micah Richards, Lineker and Rio Ferdinand are openly questioning Southgate's tactics, inability to get the best out of his players and blatantly obvious lack training and awareness.
Even Harry Kane openly admitted they had no idea how to deal with Denmark's tactics.....surely that's the job of the manager?

You could see the frustration in Foden's face and the confusion in everyone else's.

Dull, boring and out-dated.

What an utter waste of a remarkably talented bunch of individuals.....but to be fair, some of the things they were doing wrong today were the basics of football we learn when we first aspire to play at any sort of level.

Never thought I'd ever say this but Declan Rice was truly appalling, he looked as if he'd never played professional football before let alone International football.

I think after our performance tonight, you've wasted your money.

Lucky for us, the other game in the group was a draw, so still a good chance to get through to the next stage. But we need to be braver... we showed our fear of an old nemesis. We even scored their only goal for them!

Spalletti is going to tar and feather the player, especially the ones who made so many silly mistakes. Hopefully, this serves as a wake-up call to sort out the team, which is still very young.

Italy were a shadow of their former selves.

They played like England.

I’d say, not so much a shadow of their former selves as this is practically a new team. Only a handful of players are still around from our Euro 2020 win.

Spalletti became coach less than a year ago and Italy has only played 12 games under his direction (7 wins, 3 draws and 2 losses).

No, I think ‘the shadow’ was the massive difference from the same players that beat Albania just a few days ago. I believe it boils down to fear… as far back as I can remember, we have always played fearfully with Brazil and Spain. When we have beaten them it has usually been because the players dug deep and found a way… this time they just didn’t dig deep enough.

The coach has to find the best combination of players, who even if not technically superior, can gel as a team, read each other’s minds and avoid the stupid mistakes I saw against the Spaniards.

Yes, your team is young.

Still got Poland at 150/1.

Not hopeful!
