I work with both Proud Boys and Oath Keepers. They are very proud of their political stance...MAGA at any cost!

I would say there's maybe 2 or 3 million citizens who are genuinely equipped and motivated to engage in domestic warfare. Of those numbers, I'd say roughly 10% would actually participate, and only if the October surprise is especially gnarly.

You aren't thinking that out to it's logical conclusion IMO. That trying to cut off the supplies and gather the weapons is exactly how the British started way back in the 18th century and you see what rural folk did to them. Sure. the redcoats controlled a lot of territory, even kept Canada. But in the end, it was those miscalculation as to the needs of the Colonist from King George and the resolve to not let the superior army just walk all over the Colonist.

You said it yourself, people outside the US seem to have alot more faith in the US than we do. I blame Hollyweird for that. But as someone who was born here and lived here all her life and had her faith in this country and her citizens repeatedly shattered over the years, you are way more optimistic than me. The Civil war happened over 150 years ago, so no one alive has any memory, and people tend to glorify past wars as "the good old days". Many people even fetishize violence. They are idiots who have no idea what kinds of horrors they will unleash, but they dont care.

This election, no matter the winner, is going to be ugly, and the possibility of major civil unrest and violence is there. I do not look forward to it. But if a civil war did break out, it would be disastrous for the whole world, because we have nukes and WMDs for days.

scenario:

Trump hating Judge sends Trump to jail.

Democrats manage to take away Trumps secret service protection.

Mysteriously Trump dies in prison (a JFK type mystery suicide or other)

Kicks off civil war

I sincerely hope I am wrong and way off base, but so far all my fears about this election year have come true despite them looking impossible.

Well, the real blame for why people see us that way I think is our way of life IS making life better for all of us. All the poor here had it made compared to the poor people in Haiti and other s_hole countries.

it's obvious you don't grasp what's happening. We, on the right, republicans and libertarians aren't violent people. We don't riot and burn cities. We don't light cars on fire. We don't loot stores. We go to work, we keep our weapons clean, dry, and serviceable, we train, and we wait. We hope that there is never a reason to use the training.
