The media is not silent. The problem is your version of the story is propaganda.

From Reuters

Houthis fire missiles and drones from Yemen, US military says By Reuters May 31, 20244:05 PM AKDTUpdated 21 hours ago WASHINGTON, May 31 (Reuters) - The U.S. military said on Friday Yemen's Houthis launched two anti-ship ballistic missiles and one drone over the Gulf of Aden and four drones over the Red Sea. Three of the drones fired over the Red Sea were destroyed by U.S. forces and one crashed into the sea, the U.S. military's Central Command said. Centcom also said it destroyed the drone fired over the Gulf of Aden. No damage or injuries were reported as a result of the anti-ship ballistic missiles, it said.

From AP

By SAMY MAGDY Updated 3:16 PM AKDT, March 31, 2024 CAIRO (AP) — The U.S. military said Sunday its forces destroyed one unmanned aerial vehicle in a Houthi rebel-held area of war-ravaged Yemen and another over a crucial shipping route in the Red Sea. It was the latest development in months of tension between the Iran-backed rebels and the U.S.

Edited to add...
Good sources are not hard to find, but easily ignored when the goal is propaganda.

We've literally been talking about this on ATS for years. This can't be the first time you're seeing it.

His dad was the Minister of Foreign Trade under a communist Bulgaria, when they were allied with Russia, before the fall. No one is going to post his Russian intel membership card, but considering his position, his long years in service, his families' current involvement in propaganda, and what articles and info we've all read on it over the last 10+ years... it's hard to refute.

Happy to help, enjoy the many links in that search result I posted.

People have been posting on ATS about ZeroHedge being Russian intel for, oh... 10 years now at least.

Here is a really interesting tidbit of information: Zero Hedge is a part of a network of propaganda outlets called in Russian "Строго секретно", which translates to... you ready?

Top Secret

edit: misspelled russian in the search parameters. Also, to add this from the search results:

The site’s domain name was registered under a company called ABC Media Ltd., ran by Dan’s father, Krassimir Ivandjiiski. In 1974, Krassimir became a member of a Soviet propaganda organization called International Organization of Journalists.

From Wiki

Zero Hedge's first post appeared on 9 January 2009 at 4pm,[35][2] and the domain was registered on 11 January 2009 under the name Krassimir Ivandjiiski of ABC Media Ltd, the father of Daniel Ivandjiiski, who founded Zero Hedge.[36] According to the Boston Business Journal in 2012, the website "publishes financial news and opinion, aggregated and original" from a number of writers "who purportedly hail from within the financial industry."[37] Almost all in-house articles are signed under the collective pseudonym, "Tyler Durden", a character in the Chuck Palahniuk book and movie Fight Club.[37][2]

In September 2009, news reports identified Daniel Ivandjiiski, a Bulgarian-born, U.S.-educated,[c] former hedge-fund trader, who was barred from the securities industry in September 2008 for earning US$780 from an insider trade by FINRA,[38] as the founder of the site, and reported that "Tyler Durden" was a pseudonym for Ivandjiiski.[2][39] FINRA rulings show Ivandjiiski worked for 3 years at New York investment bank, Jefferies & Co.,[40] as well a number of hedge funds, the last of which was Wexford Capital LLC, a fund led by former Goldman Sachs traders.[41] One site contributor, who spoke to New York magazine in an interview arranged by Ivandjiiski, said "up to 40" people could post under the "Tyler Durden" pseudonym.[2] The same New York magazine article, published on 27 September 2009, stated that Ivandjiiski's father was Krassimir Ivandjiiski,[2] a Bulgarian publisher and editor of the pro-Russia right-wing conspiracy theory website Strogo Sekretno ("Top Secret"),[1] and monthly publication Bulgarian Confidential, since 1994.[d][1]

The domain zerohedge.com is registered in Bulgaria to a company called ABC Media Ltd, managed by Krassimir Ivandjiiski.[1]

In a 29 April 2016 Bloomberg article "Unmasking Zero Hedge",[23] the authors writing as "Tyler Durden" were revealed as Ivandjiiski, then age 37, Tim Backshall, age 45 (a credit derivatives strategist),[43] and Colin Lokey, age 32 (a Seeking Alpha staff writer).[44] Lokey, the newest member, who joined in 2015, publicly revealed himself and the other two, when he left the site in April 2016.[45] Ivandjiiski confirmed the three men "had been the only Tyler Durdens on the payroll" since Lokey joined in 2015.[23] Lokey said he was paid $6,000 per month, and received a bonus of $50,000, earning over $100,000 in 2015.[23] According to Ivandjiiski, the blog generates revenue from online advertising (there is no subscription service).[23]

In March 2020, Bulgarian litigation between Krassimir Ivandjiiski and U.S. journalist Seth Hettena revealed further details about the Ivandjiiski family and the site's ownership.[1]

I was hoping for more impartial sites than Wiki or New Republic.

And most of the links in that search are sites unknowns.

This seems fairly balanced.
Thanks.
www.institutionalinvestor.com...
More likely greed than Putin's lapdog...and getting banned by Twitter back then was a plus. Posting pro-Russia material does not automatically make it propaganda.
I really don't like zero hedge at all......but I don't see the guy is necessarily a propagandist for Russia.

There are some very credible links in the Duck Duck Go search, I'm surprised you're trying to discount it so quickly.

How about Associated Press, is that credible enough?

US accuses financial website of spreading Russian propaganda

That's a report on the US government directly implicating ZeroHedge as Russian propaganda, as reported by the world's foremost journalist agency.

U.S. intelligence officials on Tuesday accused a conservative financial news website with a significant American readership of amplifying Kremlin propaganda and alleged five media outlets targeting Ukrainians have taken direction from Russian spies.

The officials said Zero Hedge, which has 1.2 million Twitter followers, published articles created by Moscow-controlled media that were then shared by outlets and people unaware of their nexus to Russian intelligence. The officials did not say whether they thought Zero Hedge knew of any links to spy agencies and did not allege direct links between the website and Russia.

Now, considering the fact that they are spreading Russian propaganda, and the owners also have history working with Russia and growing up in the Eastern block... we don't really need to actually see their intelligence membership cards to be careful with them, do we?

I get that you like them, but it's pretty darn obvious who they work for.

It was a dig for defending them. I can clearly see your bolding above, but then you proceed to say they are not propaganda. So, I found a link that clearly states they are propaganda, directly linked to the Kremlin.

You need dinner with Putin to really know the truth of your stated position. Even in an evening with RT, would you discuss the brutality of the Russian state before and even now, or would you skirt that unpleasant issue for the sake of the evening, for the sake of not criticizing the devil?

Well, Russia has a much longer history than the US, and it could come up, I’m a bit of a history buff. Maybe we would talk about the great progress my country has made in its very short history. How it became the world’s greatest country by slaughtering the American Indians, and stealing their land. Or maybe how we managed to become the kings of agriculture using slave labor. Or how we raped our new lands in every way possible tearing up the ground. Let’s not forget how we press ganged the Irish for the civil war, or how we treat our veterans, allowing some of them to live on the street.

If we run out of something to talk about, we can start with England’s long sorted history, or Germany that’s a really interesting one. Any country on the planet would do actually. And I can speak about quite a few.

As far as Putin goes, I would love to have dinner with him, maybe RT can arrange that. Me him and Putin. I’m not paying tho, I think he has some pretty expensive tastes. But if he wants to buy the fish eggs, I’ll eat them.

I’d rather talk to people than kill them. Been there, done that. I can’t say it was an enjoyable experience. Dinner on the other hand, sounds pretty good.

Criticize the Devil? Do it all the time. I Actually talked to him once. He was right here on ATS a few years back. At least that’s who he said he was. That’s the devil I worry about, the one you can’t see. He makes Putin look like a choirboy.

No one can manipulate me to hate another person, not you, and not the actual devil who was on ATS a few years back, IF you believe him. He did actually say that, and to tell the truth you never know who’s on the other side of the screen.

Arab media publishes videos allegedly about Eisenhower's defeat. The video shows at least two missiles and a fire, as well as the defeat of the escort destroyer.

t.me...

I don't know how reliable this video is, but it is there.

Arab media also claim that this video is the second strike on an aircraft carrier.

It is noted that this is the second attack on an aircraft carrier, the first was carried out on Thursday or Friday this week, the second became known only today. At the same time, the Pentagon denies an attack on the aircraft carrier, as well as any damage to the ship. One senior military official said he was unaware of a possible attack on the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN-69).

At the same time, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) confirms the interception of two ballistic missiles fired by the Houthis, not at an aircraft carrier, but at the destroyer USS Gravely (DDG-107). Both missiles were shot down and no hits were made. Houthi drones have also been shot down, but there are no details.

It is also alleged that Eisenhower was taken to the shipping port of Jeddah.

Wow, another thread of pure propaganda and an attempt at trying to make the west look weak.
Just keep posting these threads that make thr Russian government look even more of joke than the western media do!! The missiles Russia are supplying to Houthi terrorist can't even find and hit a huge ship out on the sea!!!
You really are looking desperate....

checkyourfact.com...

However, there is no evidence that this attack took place or that the Eisenhower sustained any damage. Neither the video statement or the graphics provided evidence that the aircraft carrier was struck.

A Department of Defense spokesperson told Check Your Fact that the claim is “not true” and that “nothing happening to the Ike.” A U.S. Central Command spokesperson told Check Your Fact that they had no information on any attack from the Houthis.

www.independent.co.uk...

A US defence official told Reuters they were not aware of any attack on the Eisenhower.

www.businessinsider.com...

The missile attack on USS Dwight D. Eisenhower was alleged by the Iranian-backed spokesperson.....

Fear not.

Once the US media finds a way to blame it on Donald Trump, it will be all over the news.

I have nothing to fear. Let them be afraid of me)))
I think that most likely, as always, Russia and the Russians will be blamed for everything)))))

Ahhh, thats sounds so cute. The first part of your post reminds me of this....

If Russia supplied the missile then there's 99% chance that the missile destroyed those who fired it!!!

Protip: It would take a lot more than two missiles to bring down an aircraft carrier.

We dropped two nukes on the USS Independence in 1946 and it remained floating. So if a light cruiser retrofitted into a light carrier from 78 years ago can survive two nukes, you can only imagine what it would take to bring down a modern carrier.

Modern scientific and engineering calculations show that in order to completely sink a naval ship such as an aircraft carrier, 2 Kinzhal or Zircon missiles will be required. And this is provided that the compartments with ammunition and warheads are not hit.

It would be better to fire 4 then, because we all know atleast 2 will either not work or return to the launch site!!!

1. I highly doubt that Russia is providing their state-of-the-art missile systems to a group of Muslim rebels.

2. The Houthis don't have the capabilities to launch those missiles.

3. Even 10 or more Zircon missiles cannot sink US aircraft carrier
