The media has their new talking point. Guilty of 34 felonies paying for services rendered. The salivation of the left and the MSM was truly sickening. No one should be excited about this.

AP. Rolling Stone. NY Times. CNN. you name it they are reading a variation and sometimes the exact thing. The fact that current president released a statement again vilifying MAGA is beyond comprehension. A threat?

Biden White House

"Donald Trump has always mistakenly believed he would never face consequences for breaking the law for his own personal gain," Biden campaign communications director Michael Tyler said in a statement. "But today's verdict does not change the fact that the American people face a simple reality. There is still only one way to keep Donald Trump out of the Oval Office: at the ballot box. Convicted felon or not, Trump will be the Republican nominee for president."

"The threat Trump poses to our democracy has never been greater," Tyler continued, later adding, "A second Trump term means chaos, ripping away Americans' freedoms and fomenting political violence – and the American people will reject it this November."

Donald Trump became the first former president to be convicted of felony crimes Thursday as a New York jury found him guilty of falsifying business records in a scheme to illegally influence the 2016 election through hush money payments to a porn actor who said the two had sex.

In a humble courtroom in Lower Manhattan on Thursday, a former president and current Republican standard-bearer was convicted of 34 felony counts of falsifying business records. The jury’s decision, and the facts presented at the trial, offer yet another reminder — perhaps the starkest to date — of the many reasons Donald Trump is unfit for office.

CNN’s Jake Tapper said on air, “The former President of the United States is now a convicted felon”:

and even Adam #t

“First, a court found Donald Trump to be a sexual abuser. He was then found to be a fraudulent business owner. Now Donald J. Trump is a convicted felon,” Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) said. “All are an affirmation of the rule of law. And Trump’s unfitness for office”: “Donald Trump is a racist, a homophobe, a grifter, and a threat to this country.

But what do they do now? It is like when the Joker said I have no plan. I’m like a dog chasing cars, I wouldn’t know what to do if I caught one, you know, I just do…things.

How are they going to sentence him?

4 years per charge. He is looking at 136 years or in other words the rest of his life in prison. These are, after all, felonies. So, is that going to happen? or are we looking at House Arrest to really embarrass him and keep him off the campaign trail. I mean, is that not what this is all about.

If they send him to Rikers I think you will finally see the ones who have had enough come out of the shadows. People who have had the government turn their backs to them while they cater to non-citizens and special interest groups.

Since the trial is over, and we are entering sentencing, is the gag-order lifted? It should be. There is nothing else to influence.

We are the laughing stock of the world right now and it is so we can have another 4 years of Biden?

What are your thoughts on sentencing ATS? No one ever thought we would be here but here we are. It is time to remember we are a Republic, not a Democracy, and there is a reason for it

Did I miss something? Has there already been a court verdict? Or are these just empty desires of opponents?

He will get fined, be unable to do business in the that state and more than likely make some sorta public statement. I just don't see him being sentenced to jail nor do I think anything good would come from doing that. But I also didn't think he was going to be found guilty on all counts either.

You ask what my thoughts are on the sentencing.
I'm probably going to speak for a lot of people when I say that I saw what happened to protesters on January the 6th and so I am scared to say what I think.

He has been found guilt of 34 felony financial crimes. Next up in this specific case is sentencing then appeal.

As far as I know, the verdict of the jury and the verdict of the court, as they say in Russian Odessa, are two big differences)))

The media has their new talking point.

That's all they wanted; a guilty verdict camnaign point to sway the undecided, easily manipulated populous. It will make stuffing the ballot boxes and electronic vote-switching more believable.

There are still a few more trials in the queue for added emphasis.

Recognized - not recognized. In the current US legal system, this is nonsense. The main thing is the court verdict, which entered into legal force after appeals in all instances.
Dancing on bones, when there are no bones yet, characterizes Trump’s opponents very shamefully.

Agree.
My bet is 4years. Maxium sentence if all counts run in parallel.
I also think they will deny him the opportunity to start his sentence until after the appeals are concluded.
I think he will be very publicly cuffed and 'taken down' on July 11th just before the RNC convention.

In the USA, a Jury reaches a verdict in a case. Their verdict is read and the judge rules on that verdict. The only thing left is the punishment for paying his lawyer. And personally, I hope he gets jail time. To solidify what I see coming.

Me too.

The response, or lack thereof, from the overall citizenry in that event will clarify many things for me personally. Others mileage may vary.

Although I think they’ll want him in prison, they may opt to give him probation instead of prison if he promises not to appeal the decision, and pays a fine, back taxes etc.
This gives them better options….

1) They can act like they aren’t doing this for politics “we offered him no prison so as not to effect the coming election” 🤡

2) They know if it goes to appeal it gets reversed ‘in a New York minute.’

They think it’ll hurt Trump when he tells them to go f themselves and has to go to prison.
That’ll be at least a 5 point bump for Trump.
