Anything new?

The final nail was calling Costello. It undermined all the work they did painting Cohen as untrustworthy.

I'm also baffled by Blanche using part of his summation to talk about how trustworthy Pecker is. That's one of the most important witnesses for the prosecution's case and he's essentially telling the jury they should make sure they pay attention to his testimony.

You get your news from ATS???!!!

Alarm bells are ringing there buddy.

Side note, funny to me anyway, but when he loses do you imagine you will see the humor?

I mean if he wins that will be the will of the people, but when he loses you watch the butthurt materialise all over again.

Time will tell and that November.

Anyhoo getting late here, my bed time soon.

I'll comment again, instead of editing.

I have no feelings, I'm in shock. He is now a convicted felon. The jury his own lawyers picked returned a unanimous verdict on ALL counts on the second day of deliberations.

It was possible to see it coming.

His lawyers put on no defense, calling only two witnesses (one was a clerk), and they didn't really attack any of the 34 points in the indictment (and Trump himself seems to think it was about the sex... not about misuse of funds and then lying about it in business records in a state that takes business fraud very seriously.)

I've been watching lawyers on YouTube and these were the points they were making.

one would think a lawyer, or an intellectual could explain what he did wrong with paying his lawyer and calling it a legal expense, but the best anyone seems to be able to do is show their TDS and DERP. Perhaps you can explain what the crime is in paying your lawyer. many of us might do the same, not knowing that paying an invoice is illegal. Best to shoot the lawyer in the face I suppose.

I’ll help you out.

By New York law, it can only be upgraded to a felony to cover up another crime.

Is that false.

Since Trump wasn’t found guilty of any other crimes. And innocence is presumed until found guilty in a court of law. What proven crime was Trump found guilty of to change the misdemeanor to a felony.

Even after the verdict, that question still remains.

To no ones surprise apparently.

Normally, I'd say that's a bit paranoid.....but.

With 7 - 10 million illegals crossing the border, known terrorists being caught and who knows how many got through.....it's not that far fetched.

The last attack on American soil only took 19 to kill almost 3,000.

How do you feed and house 7-10 million people?

Surely, setting up food stands and mass accommodation close to the border would be an instant money maker for a savvy investor. Why is there no-one doing any of that?

Perhaps the numbers you are quoting, are absolute rubbish exaggerations?

Smith wasn't prevented from testifying.

Why is it your default to always lie?

Judge Merchan denied a request from defense lawyers to broaden the scope of testimony from their expert witness Bradley Smith, who is an expert on campaign finance regulations.

On Thursday, defense lawyers asked Merchan to allow Smith to testify about various terms related to federal campaign finance laws. Merchan denied the request, citing long standing precedent prohibiting witness testimony about the law.
