Yeah that irked me a bit as I had a few posts bookmarked there with important points about various topics.

Can you provide some examples? I'm not questioning your claim, I'm just curious what types of things.

I’ve heard speak of this from others. Do you have examples? Learning what was deleted helps us understand the motive.

Deleting Simon Gray (and others) back to 1969 was perplexing. I don’t understand why Dorko went out of his way, to erase a previous owner that hasn’t been here in 15+ years.

Didn`t Darko also delete he`s own messages ,or even he`s own threads ?

Yes, despite the elevated blood pressure levels and venon spewing which occasionally took place in the mud-pit, there was also an avalanche of really well thought out and informed debates there as well. I suspect it was a nightmare to moderate, but that doesn't change what it was.

Ask yourself this . Who can Operate any Business or Website without having a Revenue Stream to Support the Costs of Operating it ? Someone with Deep Pockets who does not Care what it Costs , or " Maybe " a Government Agency which has access to Taxpayer Dollars ? I suspect the Latter .

This has been my theory for ages.

I have said multiple times, this site is run by a government agency.

We aren't allowed by Mods to get too crazy, Thank You Mods!

So the regular people who are left, not the newby's who come and go, are for the most part intelligent, insightful, and won't bow to government pressure to conform.

Therefore, they make the perfect quiet sounding board for the government to backdoor find out what is brewing under the surface as far as how much people are buying the politically correct line, and how easy (or not) it is to see through government propaganda.

I KNOW because I truly KNOW, the government has a training site for government trolls. They also go into certain towns to see if they can convince people to do something against the US government. This I KNOW also. The government also has a psyops training program and division with a sign in front of the building saying Psychological Operations, which again I KNOW of personally. Part of what they do is to see exactly how far they can push people without them pushing back. I know because I pushed back so hard one time, they moved my entire family to a cushy location and great assignment. (I'd say more but I saved my ass by writing down everything that was said to me and who said it, etc. and sent it to a ...)

There was one government troll we had for awhile I could tell was in that program. He/? would strongly defend the left and call people on the right names; then perhaps a few weeks later that(?) person would strongly defend the right and call people on the left names. I called that person on it several times, and eventually that persona disappeared from the site.

I am thoroughly convinced a government/military source is running the site, and keeping the worst trolls at bay in order to find out what propaganda people are buying, what they are not buying, and learning how to infiltrate groups by learning the language and thought processes of people like me.

This site has all the earmarks..

Interesting thoughts, very. Additionally, beyond some government interest could be other related things like MSM media research to see how much BS, propaganda and spin they can get away with before people start calling it out. Testing the waters so to speak to see how far they can push certain narratives. Wouldn't even have to be big league, possibly even contractors to some of the SEO's.

I’ve been thinking this for a while as well.
ATS members are a decent cross-cut of society as a whole. We would make a good study.

Additionally the condition of ATS due to the Darko abandonment is a great study as well.

Not sure if it’s been mentioned (I’m at work but trying to keep up) but…

It has shown how people react after an event that leaves no governance and a feeling of impending doom.

Some members ran amuck, some went on revenge rampages, others tried to hold it together, some banded together to deflect attacks on others.

Members met at the bug out point (Discord).
Plans were made to reinstall local government and Mods were reinstated.

The list goes on. I’ve been thinking about starting a thread on that for a while but unfortunately time didn’t allow.

After doing a search on the mailing address, it just goes to a kind of P.O box...mmm interesting.

If I were some cloak and dagger government or otherwise operative trying to dig into the deepest recesses of the people's psyches here, I would let everyone go bonkers just to see to what extent they can go bonkers, what makes them crazy etc.

The same would be if I wanted to frame somebody and expose them for the total nuts that they are. One way to compromise a dissenter is to make him lose his temper and start acting bats**t.

In either case, the presence of moderators wouldn't suit my agenda. So why the hell would I keep them here? Maybe because it's supposed to be just a standard forum?

They could always go to Twitter for that kind of study. The insanity is left unchecked there so one can study it to one's heart's content.

Trolls are everywhere. However, there's no one dominant narrative here which people are herded around or pushed against, which is another sign that no manipulation is taking place.

I think that you and other people who suspect some kind of conspiracy here simply would wish to be noticed by VIPs. Unfortunately, it's highly unlikely that anyone who has some say in politics pays any attention to the discussions here. No matter how brilliant one's posts seem to be, they get drowned in the cacophony of internet voices. Such gems, like citizens' online opinions, are dime a dozen.

This is the first and most obvious: Why ban members if this is some type of honeypot? Why would the ‘thought police’ remove their ability to monitor? You cannot know what someone is thinking, if you silence them.

I honestly couldn't say. Most likely, as it was an entertaining place to be.
