Utterly meaningless as anything other than a symbolic gesture. But I guess that's better than nothing.

Not meangliness what so ever. There are many in Israel wanting his arrest. This is what is going to happen,

Don’t hold your breath Violet.

ICC have no bite in the real world. Maybe cartoon world will applaude those harsh words.

Karim Khan sounds unbiased. Lol.

Funny they are far more representation that the allies did in the Nuremberg Trials. State sponsdered war crimes and genocide. A terrible thing.

I dont have to. Keep watchig the show, Israel was fractionating before the Hamas attack happened. This is only going one way. There are massive protests in Israel for his removal already. It has far reaching implications for governments that are funding and helping too.

Should have paid attention to the Q posts. None of this surprises me. Israel. Saving the best for last..

People here confusing two courts and what it all means. The ICJ is the International Court of Justice, and Israel is signatory to this court and its laws. They have been since 1948.

The ICJ is a court that handles disputes between nations and can order a cease-fire, for example.

The ICC is the International Criminal Court. The ICC handles charges against specific people who are implicated in international crimes, such as war crimes or crimes against humanity.

They are both in The Hague.

Israel is not a part of the ICC, but that doesn't matter. Russia does not recognize it either, but Putin still can't leave his country and travel anywhere it is recognized. If he enters a nation that recognizes the ICC, he would have to be arrested.

If the judges approve these arrests warrants, it makes no difference if Hamas or Israel acknowledge the warrants or not, they will still be arrested if they leave.

Interesting if any of the Senators will follow through on their threats of considering the warrants an attack on America?

They should have issued a few for those Senators too.

I know the ICC has no military power but Israel has used propaganda as a weapon for decades.

That weapon is losing its effectiveness.

I don't see the regular apologists in this thread. Then again, this was very expected. We all have eyes and ears, and have been watching what's been going on in Gaza for months, irrespective of the gaslighting and the propaganda from the apologists.

Anyways, I scanned through the three pages of this thread and don't see the actual crimes posted yet. Here they are.

Statement of ICC Prosecutor

HAMAS

On the basis of evidence collected and examined by my Office, I have reasonable grounds to believe that Yahya SINWAR (Head of the Islamic Resistance Movement (“Hamas”) in the Gaza Strip), Mohammed Diab Ibrahim AL-MASRI, more commonly known as DEIF (Commander-in-Chief of the military wing of Hamas, known as the Al-Qassam Brigades), and Ismail HANIYEH (Head of Hamas Political Bureau) bear criminal responsibility for the following war crimes and crimes against humanity committed on the territory of Israel and the State of Palestine (in the Gaza strip) from at least 7 October 2023:

- Extermination as a crime against humanity, contrary to article 7(1)(b) of the Rome Statute;
- Murder as a crime against humanity, contrary to article 7(1)(a), and as a war crime, contrary to article 8(2)(c)(i);
- Taking hostages as a war crime, contrary to article 8(2)(c)(iii);
- Rape and other acts of sexual violence as crimes against humanity, contrary to article 7(1)(g), and also as war crimes pursuant to article 8(2)(e)(vi) in the context of captivity;
- Torture as a crime against humanity, contrary to article 7(1)(f), and also as a war crime, contrary to article 8(2)(c)(i), in the context of captivity;
- Other inhumane acts as a crime against humanity, contrary to article 7(l)(k), in the context of captivity;
- Cruel treatment as a war crime contrary to article 8(2)(c)(i), in the context of captivity; and
- Outrages upon personal dignity as a war crime, contrary to article 8(2)(c)(ii), in the context of captivity.

My Office submits that the war crimes alleged in these applications were committed in the context of an international armed conflict between Israel and Palestine, and a non-international armed conflict between Israel and Hamas running in parallel. We submit that the crimes against humanity charged were part of a widespread and systematic attack against the civilian population of Israel by Hamas and other armed groups pursuant to organisational policies. Some of these crimes, in our assessment, continue to this day.

ISRAEL

On the basis of evidence collected and examined by my Office, I have reasonable grounds to believe that Benjamin NETANYAHU, the Prime Minister of Israel, and Yoav GALLANT, the Minister of Defence of Israel, bear criminal responsibility for the following war crimes and crimes against humanity committed on the territory of the State of Palestine (in the Gaza strip) from at least 8 October 2023:

- Starvation of civilians as a method of warfare as a war crime contrary to article 8(2)(b)(xxv) of the Statute;
- Wilfully causing great suffering, or serious injury to body or health contrary to article 8(2)(a)(iii), or cruel treatment as a war crime contrary to article 8(2)(c)(i);
- Wilful killing contrary to article 8(2)(a)(i), or Murder as a war crime contrary to article 8(2)(c)(i);
- Intentionally directing attacks against a civilian population as a war crime contrary to articles 8(2)(b)(i), or 8(2)(e)(i);
- Extermination and/or murder contrary to articles 7(1)(b) and 7(1)(a), including in the context of deaths caused by starvation, as a crime against humanity;
- Persecution as a crime against humanity contrary to article 7(1)(h);
- Other inhumane acts as crimes against humanity contrary to article 7(1)(k).

My Office submits that the war crimes alleged in these applications were committed in the context of an international armed conflict between Israel and Palestine, and a non-international armed conflict between Israel and Hamas (together with other Palestinian Armed Groups) running in parallel. We submit that the crimes against humanity charged were committed as part of a widespread and systematic attack against the Palestinian civilian population pursuant to State policy. These crimes, in our assessment, continue to this day.

Sissies? Are you kidding?

They had themselves and their families threatened by US Senators.

The signed letter read "You have been warned".

Much braver than those sissy Senators.

Also, to go over something in those charges.

At the end of the Hamas charges quote, it says: Some of these crimes, in our assessment, continue to this day.

At the end of the Israel charges quote, it says: These crimes, in our assessment, continue to this day.

While Hamas is still committing some of the crimes they are charged with, Israel seems to be still committing all of them.

Also, if you look at the charges for Israel, if you put together Extermination, Persecution, Starvation and Intentionally directing attacks against civilians -- that constitutes genocide.

But that is for the ICJ to decide, not the ICC.

Yes as the world continues to laugh at the ICC.
Israel and Hamas both are united in that LoL

We’ll see what happens IF they get the warrants….in a couple months from now.

Hamas/Palestinian war crimes as I see it…..

The brutal murder of 1.3k innocent people
The torture and rape of many of those killed
Taking hostages
The murder, torture, rape and starvation of those hostages
Harboring military combatants and armory in hospitals, schools and civilian dwellings.
Not allowing refugees to flee combat zones
Not allowing aid.
Using civilians as human shields
Using aid and emergency vehicles for transportation of combatants

Israeli war crimes, hmmmm 🤷‍♂️

Until someone can prove that hamas and the Palestinians didn’t do any of the above I just don’t know.

This # isn’t as clear cut as many of you here want it to be.
So…,prove me wrong, let me see your specific provable war crimes IDF has committed beside the usual bs rhetoric that the msm feeds you. Sensationalize all you want, I’m just not seeing it.

Not saying that Israel didn’t commit war crimes but give me your best argument why they have….

The ICC Will NEVER have Any Authority to Arrest or Convict an American Citizen . Their Supposed " Authority " to do so is Wishful Thinking . The Constitution of the United States and the Bill of Rights says So .

Oct 8th, the arrest warrants should have gone out to hamas.

They've only applied for arrest warrants for both parties they don't have them yet , it will likely take the judges weeks ,months or maybe even years to go through the evidence before a decision is made and even then given the political pressure the ICC is under they possibly won't be granted because that would implicate the US and UK in War Crimes for supplying the weapons and we can't have that can we.

They waited until now because, joos.

Yeah DB , I'm sure that's what it is.

How about: "Palestinians want their land back" Your focus on hamas is telling. It's a way of dehumanizing an entire population. The Palestinians don't have time to #ing denounce hamas when they're dodging bombs Isreal drops indiscriminately.

Your logic is flawed and the gaslighting that Isreal didn't set this entire situation up in the first place is pretty remarkable. Like do people not realize we have the internet and can look things up to determine the truth? The Palestinians land was stollen in 1948, since then, they've been oppressed. That is a fact. Everything else is Isreal and the West's fault for meddling in that area to begin with.

They couldn't determine if the events on Oct 7th merited a war crimes response until now?

That's a pants-load of derp.
