This. This is what the judge told his lawyers....

Critics have said that New York prosecutors shouldn't be able to use federal law violations to prove another crime. And others have said that without even charging a New York state law violation, they have failed on that front.

But Merchan just made clear that it's not that cut and dry.

Merchan said that prosecutors aren't required to prove the underlying crime beyond a reasonable doubt — which could be a key distinction when he writes the jury instructions.

This is insanity.

a leaked copy of the jury instructioins was found....

"Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, the guilty orange guy over there is a bad orange man. he does bad man things while being orange. orange. Now you must do your democratic civic duty and retire to the deliberatoin room to catch up on your facebook posts, spend a good 20 or 30 minutes with social media, then return a guilty verdict. Only a guilty verdict will be accepted. Because he's orange. Good luck!"

I'll have to find the source, it's not linking for me.....

Cohen admitted under oath to stealing $60,000 (not $30k) from the Trump organization.

Interesting how these stories change depending on what/who you read.

Which do you prefer...Cohen admitting under oath to stealing $30k or stealing $60k?

Sounds about right.

Talking of biased Judges.

The Defendant was being sworn in.

Cohen testified Monday that he lied to former Trump Organization Chief Financial Officer Allen Weisselberg in 2017 about how much he needed to be reimbursed for a payment to the tech company RedFinch.

While he asked for $50,000, Cohen testified that he only gave the company $20,000.

Nonetheless, Cohen asked for the 50K reimbursement from the Trump Organization.

So you stole?
Yes, Cohen admits.

And you've never paid the Trump Organization back for the money you stole from it?
No.

You lied to Weisselberg about the amount owed to you for Redfinch?
Yes

So, Trump -- known for not paying workers -- cuts Cohen's bonus after Cohen handled the Stormy thing out of his own pocket.

Always best to know all the details.

No -- I am not defending Cohen for "helping himself" -- nor do I defend Trump for not paying workers.

Seems like you're making excuses for Cohen stealing.

Trump pays his employees.
Bonus', however, are never a sure thing.
Neither, are their amounts.

Have you ever worked for a company that had to reduce the bonus' it gives out to employees?
I have.

Bonus amounts (nor bonus' themselves) are never guaranteed year to year.

MOST employees do not STEAL from their employers to make up for receiving a smaller bonus than expected.

Cohen DID.

How will -- known fact: "Trump doesn't pay his workers" -- affect this trial?

if he was bring prosecuted for not paying his workers, it might matter. But he's being prosecuted for paying his lawyer currently. BTW- that's not a crime, but in the minds of simps, it's the best they can do.

Cohen just proved he is willing to break the law to get what he feels he's entitled to.

He STOLE from Trump because he felt entitled to a larger bonus.

NOW...HERE he is AGAIN breaking the law by LYING about Trump...because Cohen felt he was entitled to become Trump's AG and was passed over.

And that's just what he's admitting as of now. Could end up being hundreds of thousands!!!

Who knows how much has been bilked over the years. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

So much for the idea Cohen was "Loyal" to Trump and taking the sword for him like many on this very Thread have suggested. ROFLOLz

What was that about?

Defense argues that Brad Smith will be able to legally define the meaning of "influencing the election"...and what a campaign finance violation legally is.

Bragg and prosecution are using their own definitions.

We need another person to define "influencing an election"?

Sounds like a waste of time to me.

It'll flush the case right down the drain 🤣🤣 Judge sweating bullets

Oh, yes -- tell me again that he is a crooked bias judge because he is not pro-Trump.

lol lol lol even the slightest hint of bias or prejudice is grounds for recusal. Merchan has ignored all that 🤣🤣🤣

Your bias is prevalent in every post.

Wait till I analyze The Closing Arguments from both sides later 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

He also said it is more beneficial to him financially if Trump is not found guilty. It gives him more to talk about in the future.

If Cohen starts a PR firm, you can be a consultant 😀

What do you think about the idea by many that Cohen was "covering" for Trump? That theory and fable is shot in the ass now ain't it 🥳️
