Trump's motion to compel additional discovery was filed 3 months ago. Arguments were filed 2 months ago. Oral arguments were over 6 weeks ago. Cannon still hasn't ruled. Regardless of whether she rules in Trump's favor she has succeeded in unnecessarily delaying the trial. Which is exactly what Trump wants.

The article was written by Salon's managing editor, Igor Derysh. He has no legal expertise. His education is in journalism and political science. His profile on LinkedIn

He cites Norman Ornstein from the American Enterprise Institute. That's where the quote "awful and unethical" comes from.

Mr. Ornstein has no legal expertise either. He has a PhD in political science and zero legal training or experience that I can see. His profile on AEI with his education and experience.

So calling him a legal expert is a straight-up lie.

The article is pure propaganda.

Annee, how do you feel about being lied to that that quote came from a legal expert? Not only that, but it says legal "experts," plural, which left you with the false impression it came from multiple experts when it didn't even come from a single expert.

I wouldn't call it research. Took about 2 minutes of effort. All I had to do was read the article and google the author and the "legal expert" he quoted and check their qualifications to discover the headline is a straight lie.

It's not open to interpretation. He just lied, plain and simple. No legal expert gave him that quote, let alone multiple legal experts.

Your "research" apparently just consists of finding headlines that fit your narrative.

You didn't even read the article.

I can tell because the first thing that would've jumped out at you was the headline claimed they had multiple legal "experts" and they only gave a quote from one person regarding the claim in the headline.

Anyone who has a research-oriented, fact-based outlook on things would have been immediately skeptical at that point and would have dug and found out what I found out in 2 minutes.

If the headline was "We are lying: Trump is guilty" you'd post that as proof Trump is guilty.
