Oh sweety, this isn't about me. This is about Republican voters from the states of Colorada, Maine and now Illinois petitioning their courts to have an insurrectionist removed from their states' ballot, and winning in the courts, all the way up to the US Supreme Court, where it now sits, as we all speculate and wait for them to issue their ruling.

No its about your name calling of a president of the united states and false accusations. Some of us were raised better. He is a former president of the United States whether you like it or not. he is not an insurrectionist and deep down in your liberal heart you know it but if you admit it then you have to admit all of the other things aren't true. Do you still believe in russian collusion too? Do you believe Hillary clinton truly misplaced hundred of thousands of dollars? Do you truly believe biden has all his mental faculties? I quit believing in fairy tales long ago. But to your point, I do believe these states are trying to remove him but not because they believe he is an insurrectionist. Its because they will not be able to run their criminal enterprises and push all of their liberal policies that result in them becoming rich. They also know that they will be held accountable for their criminal actions. So no its not about insurrection its about them running scared. But those that glue themselves to the msm and believe the propaganda are brainwashed into truly believing they are doing what is right. Sorry but communism and crushing the middle class isn't what I am voting for.

And the answer lies within your provided source:

The burden of proof in the criminal case was much higher than the burden of proof in the personal injury wrongful death case, a civil case.

Everyone born in America and who has reached the age of 35 and who has lived in the United States for at least 14 years has a right to run for office of President of the United States, unless they are disqualified by being found guilty in a federal court of law of insurrection or treason.

We're going to find out if the US Supreme Court agrees with you. As it stands, enough people disagree with you that we are now here, waiting for SCOTUS to tell us how We The People can be protected from insurrectionists holding government offices.

Donald Trump doesn't not have the right to the Presidency of the United States.

I do believe at some point there was also a rule that a person holding a royal title for a foreign country could not be POTUS, but I am searching for that and can't find it.

And this is exactly why they tried so hard to get the word insurrection in there. And they did it the moment he was leaving office and they set it up perfectly. You are 100% correct. Nothing else mattered that day.

I guess Joe will need to be removed as well since his cognitive condition prevents him from holding office.

The republicans could remove him for aiding the enemy invasion that is crippling this country financially and criminally. If the Democrats are stupid enough to pull that with Trump when he hasn't been convicted of anything in federal court, then the Republicans can turn around and do it with Biden just as easily.

This is why DUE PROCESS is important. But some are so obsessed with hating Trump that they can't see straight.

And no, I'm not a Trump fan. I go Libertarian. But I do side with Trump on this. It's really obvious.

A lot of people disagreed with Roe v Wade and SCOTUS finally got that right...so...there is that.

The fact you, and others, also still call Donald Trump an insurrectionist is laughable. Like people who still wear a mask.

The FBI and DOJ, as well as the Senate, ALL concluded there was no insurrection. The media find Trump guilty for clicks and it works.

It's nice thought.

Yet I don't see any republicans with the testicular fortitude nor spine to do as such.

Yes you should. Donald Trump is much smarter than you appear to be giving him credit for. They have tried everything to bring him down and they cant. Do you think Clinton or Biden would have been able to go through 4 years of someone throwing every trick in the book at them and digging as deeply into their past dealings? Not a chance. The man is clean and loves America and it burns them up inside.

What answer?

OJ Simpson was acquitted of murder in criminal court, and found liable for wrongful death in civil court.

Tell that to OJ Simpson.

Why OJ Simpson was acquitted of murder yet found liable for wrongful death?

OJ juror admits the jury let him off because of the Rodney king verdict
www.reddit.com...
This is video of the juror admitting such.
Should be around the 2:50 mark which is about 50 seconds before the end of the video.
Deny ignorance.
Now back to the OP…..

FFS, it's amazing how obtuse you become when cornered.

I'm actually impressed.

And...Mitch McConnell, the Senate Majority Leader at the time, admitted that Trump was responsible for what happened on Jan 6th, but that he couldn't be impeached because he was no longer the sitting POTUS, and they can't impeach a private citizen.

Look facts are facts. OJ Simpson was acquitted in criminal court. He was found "guilty" in civil court of wrongful death. You don't have a corner here.

If you didn't bother to read the source you yourself provided, I'm not going to spend the time explaining your own source to you.

The standards between the courts are different. Pretty simple stuff here.

The Congress had already impeached Trump for incitement of insurrection.

No.

First Impeachment was for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.
The Senate acquitted.

Second Impeachment was for incitement of insurrection.
The Senate acquitted.

He was never found guilty of insurrection in a federal court.

What the FBI did say was that the attack was not centrally coordinated, but they have filed conspiracy charges against several who were convicted.

And Trump didn't have federal charges filed against him, nor was he convicted.

I like that you said this. Responsible and purposeful or knowledgeable of are not the same. A writer of a book or news article could be "responsible" for someone getting an idea to start a movement or cause someone to take some type of an action but do we blame the author? Just admit that he did not control Jan 6th. He did what every president before him had done. He addressed his followers.

You cannot deny Trump DUE PROCESS and say he is guilty of insurrection as an excuse to him keep off any ballot.

First of all, Trump did have due process in Colorado's, in Maine's and in Illinois' civil courts.

Secondly, the 14th Amendment, section 3 says nothing about a criminal conviction.

Where's the IL ruling? I think they also included exclusion from the Nov 5th ballot too 😀 Was Trump indicted? Was Trump represented in court?

And where's the IL law that allows "prosecution" using The Federal statutes like The 14th Amendment?

Are you just as offended by the never ending stream of name calling that is aimed at the current POTUS?

What about the name calling leveled at past Presidents like Obama?
