Wait a minute. A message encouraging us not to worry about the loss of ATS because it will help us focus more attention on precious moments that could be better used with family and friends? Coming from a someone who has been a member since 2009 and make over 22,000 posts?



For the record, many people on this site are older, have debilitating health/medical issues, small and/or distant family members, live in remote areas, aren't working outside of the home, and many don't use televisions.

Technology is also an avenue for delivering information, entertainment, education, health and lifestyle assistance etc.

The Wikipedia article it links to isn't even the real Simon. The man built this community, as a teenager even, and all he got in return was accusations of being a government informant and crazies showing up at his home. Even after the ownership transfer, and the current administration thinks it was in good taste to mind # everyone on here like that at his expense.

? I have never seen any information on who Simon is just that he was the founder of ATS , I have seen accusations over the years that he is from a high worth family and such but I take everything with a pinch of salt .

It would be nice for some of the members to hear his story rather than rely on rumours, I have been visiting ATS for 20+ years and cannot remember even seeing any of his posts .

Pretty much , I have come to trust some members here more than my locol doctor when I need information as they are better read on many subject than the doctors are.

I have come across some smart cookies on this site and Ricky is one of them , our doctors only do one month of nutrition training in their 6 year course Jane and a few years ago I suggested one use the statin tablet I was on as a suppositorie after gaining 25 lbs .

I stopped them and started taking vitimins as advised by our own Ricky mouse and the 25 lbs just fell of without me even trying .

When all the ransomware attacks started happening years ago AT'S members were the first to find a work around , this place really has been a light in the dark for many

Thanks Armap it is nice to finally find out what Simon looks like it used to be fun listining to the radio shows years ago to hear what members sounded like IRL , they were nothing like I imagined, even the picture of Simon is many years younger than I imagined as most In the CT crowd on forums are older than we seem .

I did send DTOM a link when I found out about DI to get some features of the old ATS back and it was free ( if it's not free I ain't buying it ) ps I squeek when I walk

I had to re-sign up as I could not sign in under my old name, email was not right and gone, another old member lost in the purge.
