Checking on the status of the website

That would require server access on ATS, I believe. I'm not sure if it's possible without a script of some kind. Maybe through some kind of automated image generation if the image used the same url, but then you'd also have to worry about the browser cache.

I have an idea about what happened say about 2008. Things in the US, at least, started to get more fragmented around that year. PC became more and more a culprit in divisions.

I think you are on to something there.....sad that people need to get their feelings of self-worth from FB and social media.

I appreciate that. It felt like it at the time. It doesn't make me happy to see ATS in the state that it's in. Especially after 22 years. Though I am happy that I have the best staff on the internet to manage our future. I appreciate every one of you. The members too. There was a time in my life that the only friends I had were the people I knew on ATS. This place means a lot to me.

I think I originally joined in 2008...? But dipped after my 2nd was born and didn't come back into the fray until 2016, then again in 2018/9? I don't know, I can't remember and now that I can't access my original account....

I'm just mad I can't get into RATS. That forum was always fun for me. I love the most obscure weirdness of it.

ATS is definitely on the way out......
There is NO ONE in charge. NO owner. No IT guy. No one to call or email.
So, either the day the domain $$ is due, or the day the server $$ is due, or any day a hacker come through. Or a glitch when the database crumbles further.
